Ukraine, WHO and the Geopolitics of Swine Flu Panic

What the hell is going on in the Ukraine?
I have been following this story for a while, have attempted two posts on it, dumped them, then deleted all my bookmarked information.
Why such difficulty you ask? Because, the "flu" situation in the Ukraine, seems not only to be the swine flu, possibly something else?
Throw in IMF indebtedness, pending elections that the US/NATO puppet Victor Yushchenko, leader after the Orange Revolution, is most definitely going to lose. Unless their is some type of intervention by the west. Aah, geopolitics.....
Then I came across this, by William Engdahl, I like him, I find him to be very good.
I will post some excerpts and urge you to read the rest right here

Not swine flu, perhaps something else?

Exact information about what is really taking place in Ukraine is far from easy. The country is one of the most politically complex and economically distressed states in Europe. One plausible hypothesis emerges from the scientific researches of Dr Lawrence Broxmeyer MD of the New York Institute of Medical Research.

Broxmeyer’s research suggests that the WHO and CDC are covering up a worldwide epidemic of tuberculosis, and focusing attention on flu instead. Indeed recently the WHO changed its categories of causes of death to lump death from influenza in the same group as death from tuberculosis and other pulmonary disease. Given the present Swine Flu hysteria, any pulmonary death seems to be reported as "death from H1N1 influenza." In a passing note the report typically notes the patient also suffered from lung problems.

Broxmeyer states, "Both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are fully aware of a far more serious and ongoing tuberculosis Pandemic in the world today. Yet they choose to downplay the link, disregarding the similar flu-like symptoms tuberculosis often begins with. WHO freely admits that there were approximately 1.8 million deaths from tuberculosis in 2007, the most recent year for which data are available as well as that presently about one-third of the world's population, or two billion people, carry the TB bacteria."1

Broxmeyer is convinced there is a massive coverup of tuberculosis deaths using "flu" as the diversion: "Khomenko's 1993 study showed that the explosive contagiousness of just such influenza-like forms of tuberculosis are exactly the stuff that previous epidemics and pandemics could have been made of... But back in the US, the CDC and NIH seem to feel differently, ignoring everything but "the virus". There was much the same "Influenza" talk when in 1990, a new multi-drug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis outbreak took place in a large Miami municipal hospital. Soon thereafter, similar outbreaks in three New York City hospitals left many sufferers dying within weeks. By 1992, approximately two years later, drug-resistant tuberculosis had spread to deadly mini-epidemics in seventeen US states, and was reported, not by the American, but the international media, as out of control. Viral forms of swine, avian and human TB can be transmitted from one species to another."2

Reality check?

The WHO, the organization responsible for declaration of the H1N1 Pandemic last summer, allowing governments like the USA and Ukraine to declare martial law and a national state of emergency, suspending all rights and imposing arrests and detentions, has validated the dubious Ukraine claims of out-of-control spread of Swine Flu.

The samples have been sent to the WHO Mill Hill Influenza Reference Lab in London, not exactly inspiring confidence in a scientifically honest report given the record of UK health authorities in manipulating data to please the vaccine giants like GlaxoSmithKline. As of this writing, bizarre enough the WHO has yet to utter a single word of the test results at Mill Hill.

Nonetheless, WHO "strongly recommends early treatment with the antiviral drugs, oseltamivir or zanamivir, for patients who meet treatment criteria, even in the absence of a positive laboratory test confirming H1N1 infection." That means Tamiflu, the highly dangerous drug whose major shareholder includes former Pentagon head Don Rumsfeld. And it means GlaxoSmithKline, maker of the rival Relenza drug.

Ukrainian election geopolitics

The bizarre developments in Ukraine over the past two weeks are being blamed inside the country on intense Ukrainian election politics. In four months national elections in Ukraine are due. Among rival candidates are Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and her chief rival, Arseniy Yatseniuk.

Since Washington financed and organized the 2004 Orange Revolution that brought a pro-NATO Victor Yushchenko in as President, Ukraine politics has been a geopolitical tug-of war between Moscow and Washington. How the current political games around allegations of H1N1 panic play into that tug of war is not yet clear.

The best article I have seen yet.

  1. Makes total sense to me Penny.

  2. Hey Edo, I'll admit to having an aha moment when I read that.

Not that the swine flu pandemic is only about covering up the possibility of a tuberculosis pandemic, cause I mean, I think it is more then that myself. It is profit taking, I actually believe it is a way of hiding the economic malaise as not only a distraction but also by spending money to keep the world economy limping along.

That said, the tuberculosis angle is interesting because by not acknowledging the increase in tuberculosis, WHO can help hide the growing global poverty, brought on by corrupt elites, banks, multinational corporations who have made the world a much poorer place.

With poverty comes despair and disease.

I was going to add this earlier, it is a link to the search
    Tuberculosis on the rise

Just look at what comes up

Already and by March 12, 1999, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in response to requests from the National Red Cross Societies of four countries, including and near to the Ukraine, had issued a warning over the up and coming explosion of tuberculosis there in the form of an appeal.

The Ukraine, for some time, has been an epicenter of TB.

The Ukraine Ministry of Health had taken several initiatives to address the increasing TB crisis in Ukraine. Pilot project areas have been identified in combination with WHO to test the newer methodologies of which improved laboratory training would be the cornerstone. One pilot DOTS style project, backed by the World Bank and the Canadian charity HOPE, was introduced in Odessa.

TB was already spreading rapidly in the region in the late 1990‘s. In Russia, over 111,000 cases of TB were reported in 1996 -- double the number of cases reported in 1991. Reported cases were at about the same level in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.
Officially, and in March of 2004, some 670,000 Ukrainians were infected with tuberculosis, but the International Red Cross estimated the real figure was, even at that time, three times higher

WHO had already taken, In 1993, the unprecedented step of declaring tuberculosis to be a global emergency. In 1998, it estimated that by 2020 nearly one billion more people would be newly infected, 200 million would fall sick, and 70 million would die from TB if control measures were not strengthened. Such measures were never really implemented.
So recently when, recently, in KIEV — Eighty-six people have died in Ukraine from flu and respiratory infections, the health ministry said Wednesday, in an epidemic the World Health Organization said COULD be largely due to the A(H1N1) virus……….the emphasis should definitely be placed on the word “could“.

The ministry said that almost half a million cases of flu and acute respiratory infections had been recorded since mid-October in the country of 46 million, while 24,000 people have been hospitalized.

Some 148,000 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours, it added.
The epidemic is concentrated in the west of the country which has borders with four European Union states but a growing number of cases are being reported in the capital Kiev.

Then we have this ridiculous statement, one of many, coming from WHO: "As the pandemic virus has rapidly become the dominant influenza strain worldwide, it can be assumed that most cases of influenza in Ukraine are caused by the H1N1 virus," the WHO said on Tuesday.

Lyudmila Mukharska, Ukraine's deputy chief health officer, claims that authorities had confirmed that five of the dead had died of the “H1N1 virus“.

At the same time she vehemently denied rumors that the west of the country was suffering from an outbreak of plague, saying that it was "H1N1 that is circulating in Ukraine".

The WHO has sent a team of nine experts to Ukraine to help the authorities with the situation.

While the country is suffering from an above-average infection rate, many independent observers have accused Ukraine's squabbling politicians of seeking to profit from the situation ahead of January 17 presidential elections.

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has personally overseen a delivery of anti-flu medicines in the middle of the night while pro-Western President Viktor Yushchenko even called on NATO for help.

"Many questions remain to be answered," admitted WHO.

But perhaps the greatest question of all is why they are ignoring that tuberculosis can also present as “the flu“.

  4. Hi,

Since 1980, Tuberculosis has skyrocketed from over 200,000 cases to over 500,000! This astonishing number is a sign that organizations, such as yours, are important now, more than ever. As I read through your website, it is clear that we share the same passion in fighting this horrible disease. Here at,, we are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of diseases. If you could, please list us as a resource or host our social book mark button, it would be much appreciated. We may not physically heal the suffering, but lets support their cause.
If you need more information please email me back with the subject line as your URL.

    Thank You,
