Israel the leader in battlefield robotics, but , not alone.

Before you read this a thought. War crimes? Where will the accountability be when machines are doing the killing?

Israel is developing an army of robotic fighting machines that offers a window onto the potential future of warfare.

"We're trying to get to unmanned vehicles everywhere on the battlefield for each platoon in the field," says Lt. Col. Oren Berebbi, head of the Israel Defense Forces' technology branch. "We can do more and more missions without putting a soldier at risk." ( No mention of the fact that more civilians can be slaughtered)

In 10 to 15 years, one-third of Israel's military machines will be unmanned.

When the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, it had just a handful of drones. Today, U.S. forces have around 7,000 unmanned vehicles in the air and an additional 12,000 on the ground, used for tasks including reconnaissance, airstrikes and bomb disposal.

Among the recently deployed technologies that set Israel ahead of the curve is the Guardium unmanned ground vehicle, which now drives itself along the Gaza and Lebanese borders

I found this entire article, sickening. The slant the article contained was nauseating enough.
But, then to think of the wanton killing of humanity that can be carried out......
Are some human beings really this despicable, for the sake of, for the love of money?
If war wasn't so profitable, it would be long gone. If people were not so gullible to be duped into fighting wars for 'leaders', we would have peace.

  1. Small point, Pen - a thing is only a war crime if you lose. If you do the same thing and win, they make a movie about you starring Bruce Willis.

  3. The Palestinians are 'test' subjects. It's a microcosim for what's happening in the rest of the world and how far it can be taken.

    It's not looking too good.

  4. Eventually enough people will wake up and soldiers may say "no more!". In this case they will need robots- that is the real reason they are being made IMO.
