Copenhagen fails, UN tries again despite another error

Talks will take place in April under the UN flag for planning the next steps in the effort toward a global treaty on climate change, Danish Minister for Climate and Energy Lykke Friis said Monday.

The April 9-11 meeting will take place in Bonn gathering senior officials of signatories of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), said Friis, whose country currently chairs the negotiating process.

The date was set at a meeting of the UNFCCC bureau, tasked with drawing up a calendar of meetings for 2010 in the aftermath of the controversial climate summit in Copenhagen in December, the Danish news agency Ritzau said.

This despite, another error!

Climate scientists withdraw journal claims of rising sea levels

Study claimed in 2009 that sea levels would rise by up to 82cm by the end of century – but the report's author now says true estimate is still unknown.

How many errors have been acknowledged now?
Bad code, corrupt practices and an out and out admission that global temperatures have NOT increased.

Climategate U-turn as scientist at centre of row admits: There has been no global warming since 1995

"And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming."

  1. Wars and rumours of wars will help get the public to forget about this environmental, then allow it to re-enter consciousness as what ? A water shortage perhaps ?

Its a truth that hurts the establishment badly.

  2. I hope that this whole fiasco will be a wake up call to the stragglers still out there.

What pisses me off the most is the clear co-opting of any kind of non-partisan environmental concerns - real ones - not this utter claptrap. IMO that was part of the agenda from the get go.

Who gives a shit about water quality, soil erosion and degradation, toxic chemical effluents, air pollution - the list is endless and NO one NO matter what political stripe they may label themselves as wants to live in a poisonous environment. Truly the environment COULD have been a unifying concern - bridging these false divides - and 'they' sure can't have that, can they??

    *shaking my head*
