Genetically Modified Enviro-Pigs make you the guinea pig

A Canadian government department is poised to approve genetically modified pigs for the food supply.
The Yorkshire pigs were developed by researchers in Ontario at the University of Guelph, who spliced in genes from mice to decrease the amount of phosphorus produced in the pigs' dung, the report said.

Excessive phosphorous has been linked to groundwater contamination around large livestock operations.

In other words, rather then address all the problems associated with the filthy phenomena of factory farming, splice in some mice genes and your good to go!

  1. Penn, If only people knew how crazy it really has gotten. Mouse genetics are the very least of it.

These were just some of the many reasons that I took early retirement.

There is a very good reason that I buy absolutely no commercially grown or manufactured produce.

Not too strangely since adopting my dietary regime Sky's health has improved in her words by at least 95 percent over what it was some five years ago. Weird Huh?

  2. hey silverfish, almost missed responding to you.
But, I simply cannot let that happen!

I have a feeling some of us will come closer to realizing just how crazy it has gotten, while other will remain blissfully ignorant.

That is really excellent. YOu have been a good influence on her, and she has been a good influence on you too.

But, it is really not weird, except I guess, to some people who think if it is on the grocery store shelf, it must be ok.

Or it wouldn't be there, because the government would never allow anything that harms us or could harm us, like these enviropigs.

    well, if your gullible....
