Namaste- Humanity recognizing Humanity

I borrowed this info from Blade Runner over @Apocalypse Wave

Here is what the Blade Runner wrote
What does a real man do when faces with a threat to his person and his livelihood? He shows no fear and defends himself. See below. What does a real man do when begged for mercy? He shows mercy. See below. What does a real man do when asked to share his faith? See below.

Mohammad Sohail, A REAL MAN.

It is good for us all to be reminded, that in amongst all the evil, all the hurt, the war and misery that an evil segment of humanity delivers via their manipulations of and to the masses...

Acts of kindness and humbleness still exist.

A reminder to us all that we can turn a bad situation into good, by recognizing that we are all human beings, living, breathing and sentient.

  1. I think this man certainly did the right thing - honourable to say the least. I hope the perp feels shame for his own behaviour and does repent.

That said, our society is so sick, kids don't learn respect anymore and look at someone being kind as being 'weak' it seems the bully culture has taken over.

    Makes me mad.

  2. Inspiring stuff Penny. Can the answer simply be that we must become the change we want in the world? Lead by example and others will follow?

  3. Hey Buffy!

I actually got a tear when I saw this video.

I mean thinking about it, the outcome could have been so very different.

But, it wasn't. What happened, happened. The store owner beautifully demonstrated what real humanity is.

Yup, I believe that is correct!

We must become the change we want in the world.

  5. I love this video and seeing a kind man doing a great deed.

Having said that, though, I think your comment, "by recognizing that we are all human beings, living, breathing and sentient" is not ALWAYS wise. Sociopaths do not seem to have that human spark of goodness at their core.

If the robber had been a sociopath, his begging for mercy would have been an act to try to get control of the situation.

    Unfortunately, discernment is always needed.

I understand where you are coming from, that said, if we choose to disregard the fact that we as humans are all living breathing and sentient, then we who make that choice are the sociopaths.

(For it is a sociopath that disregards humanity)

Acknowledging the humanity of another human being is not a negative, if one is wise enough to have good thinking faculties one will judge whatever situation accordingly and take the proper actions.

    As this man did.

  7. Very uplifting video here. Leading by example and not being afraid to go against the grain are important weapons in this struggle we're in.
