Battle for Syria: View from the Frontline

Our film crew has spent 2 months on the frontline with the soldiers of Syrian army and civilians trying to answer these hard questions:
Who is the Syrian army fighting?
What is the armed opposition fighting for?
And why are there so many interested parties in this conflict?

This film was made in field conditions to better tell the story of what's happening here.
Not for the faint of heart

Also, if you have the time LVB has a relevant documentary linked a@ LVB Research

The Weight of Chains (Full movie)

It covers a theme that should be familiar to us all.

  1. Ok so still busy and have posted 3 quick info items

Should provide interesting reading and viewing for all

Please leave comments relevant to Syria in particular, that's you Brian and my anonymous
If I can't get to them others will appreciate them a great deal

    1. Hi Penny,

Thanks so much for adding the link for "The Weight of Chains" - I am certain that the many thinking people your blog attracts will get a lot out of seeing this film. Your kindness in adding this link has already brought numerous people and given them the chance to see it, which is a great thing. I'm confident that everyone who makes the time to watch it will learn a great deal - even those who already know plenty.

It is ugly and horrible, but it is the truth. And I am sure that anyone reading here already knows that we all have a responsibility to confront these ugly and terible truths in life, rather than taking the "easy way" out and surrendering to the beautiful lies and deceptions of the globalist mass media.

    2. "It is ugly and horrible, but it is the truth."
There are many well documenendted reviews of this film and it appears that not everybody would agree with you. One review ends with this paragraph.
"Hence, instead of promoting “a mythical vision” of their own past, Serbian intelligentsia ought to reconsider its own role and responsibility in the recent crises and wars. This kind of film, instead of being called “The Weight of Chains”, could be more appropriately titled “The Weight of War Crimes”!

    3. Hey, that's fair enough, because I wouldn't really expect "everyone" to agree with me about much of anything lol.

However, what is NOT fair enough is that the site you referenced, "srebrenica-genocide" has tended toward one-sided disinfo for many years now. Even as newer forensic evidence (and the lack thereof; no bodies or "thousands of mass graves were found", etc.) has shown their assertions to be false or exagerrated, they have still continued on their path to maximum exploitation, as though the Bosnian and Albanian extremist muslims did not commit mass murders and atrocities on an equal or often greater scale against Serbian civilians. Perhaps it is right there where the Bosnian muslim suppoters, as you say, "ought to reconsider its own role and responsibility in the recent crises and wars". Look at your own war crimes before lashing out at others for theirs, eh?? That would be a great thing for everyone to do - most of all the US/UN/NATO and its psychopathic "leaders".

What is very sad to me is that that, judging by your rehash of someone else's comment (rather than using your own brain and ideas), you most likely did not even watch the film before you rushed out to cut and paste someone else's thoughts here in the antagonist, critical role.

I suggest you DO watch it, and then you won't be talking about a "mythical vision of their own past", because you'll see that there is a great deal of criticism and self-examination of the MANY mistakes made by the Yugo and Serv govt leaders, before, during and after the wars.

But, the key here is the truth about the actions and horrific war crimes of the other parties (US/UN/NATO, Croatia, Bosnian and Albanian Muslims in Kosovo) in these wars - because THAT is the truth that was never told, and is still censored out of any discussions in the globalist mass media. Why is that??

There's plenty of responsibility and blame to go around - so then why did Clinton, Albright NATO and their mass media lapdogs have to constantly use the "Serbs are the one and only bad guys" narrative, fabricate and exagerrate atrocities and blatantly violate the UN/NATO charters and international law in order to sell their lopsided, brutal bombing attacks on Serbia's civilian population?? They had to do all that to justify and rationalize NATO's war crimes.

The only truth the mass media ever told us about it was the fact that a lot of people suffered and died - many as a result of the NATO "humkanitarian bombing" of civilian targets - but, of course, they carefully avoided mentioning the fact that there was suffering, death and horrific war crimes and atrocities that were committed by ALL SIDES.

That's just way too confusing for the masses, though. They need their "one villian, one victim" storyline, or they get really confused. ;)

  2. 'our religion tells us to do this'
    'Mimi al-Laham:

It is difficult to write this as Maya's email is still 'online' right next to me on my gmail account, his status said 'live" and indeed it feels like he's still alive. Harder still to know that the answer to my chat question 'are you alive' will not be answered. Even though I know...

Even though I hadn't known Maya long, he was hard not to like. Maya had no hatred in his heart, even for his enemies. When I spoke to him about anger he urged me to be patient, kind and respectful to people who disagreed with me.

The last time he spoke, he told me a very powerful story that he asked me to keep off the record. But now I feel like he left it with me.

He had invited 3 heads of the FSA, salafists to Damascus at his expense assuring them on his word they will not be harmed. He hoped that seeing a different way of life would change their attitude. After they had been in Damascus for 3 days, he invited them to dinner in front of a restaurant which was in front of an old church and an old mosque that existed together peacefully for a long time.

He asked them how they felt about Damascus, they said it was nice. Then he asked them to be honest and again gave them his word that they would come to no harm. One replied 'frankly sir we respect you, but we are going to kill you and take the women of your family. And our religion tells us to do this'.

Maya then pointed to two girls who were sitting beside him, one with a head scarf and one without.

He said. You see those two girls? This is Syria. And I will die to keep it this way. After I die, then I don't care what you do.

Those were his last words to me. He was true to his word and the salafists left safely, that's just the kind of person he was.

I think he knew he was going to die because there had been many attempts on his life in previous months. But he kept going... he was committed to the truth and his country.

Syria lost a hero today, But Martyrs don't die, they live forever.

  3. The Times report describes the mission of the CIA station in Benghazi as one of “conducting surveillance and collecting information on an array of armed militant groups in and around the city,” including Ansar al-Sharia, an Islamist militia that has been linked by some to the September 11 attack, and Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, or AQIM.

It further states that the CIA “began building a meaningful but covert presence in Benghazi” within months of the February 2011 revolt in Benghazi that seized the city from forces loyal to the government of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Stevens himself was sent into the city in April of that year as the American envoy to the so-called “rebels” organized in the Benghazi-based National Transitional Council (NTC).

What the Times omits from its account of CIA activities in Benghazi, however, is that the agency was not merely conducting covert surveillance on the Islamists based in eastern Libya, but providing them with direct aid and coordinating their operations with those of the NATO air war launched to bring down the Gaddafi regime. In this sense, the September 11 attack that killed Stevens and the three other Americans was very much a case of the chickens coming home to roost.

There is every reason to believe that the robust CIA presence in Benghazi after Gaddafi’s fall also involved more than just surveillance. Libyan Islamists make up the largest single component of the “foreign fighters” who are playing an ever more dominant role in the US-backed sectarian civil war being waged in Syria with the aim of toppling the government of President Bashar al-Assad. According to some estimates, they comprise anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 of approximately 3,500 fighters who have been infiltrated into Syria from as far away as Chechnya and Pakistan.

  4. CIA's mission in Benghazi iss much more than just
"conducting covert surveillance", and we all know that their presence did not begin after Gaddafi's govt fell, but rather long before that and in order to plan and direct the coup and NATO's airstrikes.

They were (and still are) searching for hundreds of shoulder fired surface-to-air missiles and other weapons that CIA gave to the terrorists in Libya in order to fight their war against Gaddafi - because it could be embarrasing to them and their political leaders in the USA when a civilian jetliner gets shot down by those weapons in the hands of Jihadist maniacs.

Notice I said "embarrasing", but not horrifying or unacceptable. That's because these paychopaths don't really care about the loss of innocent lives, American or otherwise, but they do care about situation that could attract the "wrong kind" of attention and potentially expose their many evil deeds.

And, make no mistake about it - that is ALL they really care about - threats to their power, wealth and control.

  6. Excellent video Pen, thanks. Finally had a moment or two to actually sift through the research you have done here for Syria/the war. The Russian video comes off as very honest, and I have a good feel for Russian stuff.

People have to sometimes know when to leave . . . I know it's your homeland, everything you've ever known, but . . . it's a big word out there, and life is precious and short. Why not try and live longer and enjoy it?

Good luck to you, Syrians. My heart is with you. Can't stop thinking about the 4 and 5 year old boys mentioned in the video that were kidnapped (and surely killed). How terrble and cruel life can be, is all I can think of to say.

  7. Patrick Clawson "its very hard for me to see how the US president can get us to war with Iran" - astonishingly blatant video clip that seems to be going viral: Pro Israeli think tank calls for another false flag to start war with Iran

That clip is fairly ubiquitous but here is the full talk cheerfully made public by the Washington Institute:
How to Build U.S.-Israeli Coordination on Preventing an Iranian Nuclear Breakout
Should be enlightening, although I haven't actually watched it myself yet.

  8. Well it took a few weeks, but here it is.....

U.S. links Benghazi attack to terrorists from Mali (DPA)

  9. This is among the few things that I personally believe from debka - and yes, I DO know that it is primarily a pro-Israeli, Mossad-leak and disinfo site. But, at least they admit it, more or less. And I think, like most other so-called "legit" sites (most of which do NOT admit their allegiance and links to various intel orgs and govts), there is occasionally some valuable truth to be found on debka, like this:

Ambassador Chris Stevens Knew his Killers. He Ran Them as Double Agents

As the US State Department and CNN dueled over the US ambassador Chris Stevens’ diary, his murderers, the Libyan Ansar al-Sharia, headed off to meet their al Qaeda controllers and ask for more missions, DEBKA-Net-Weekly reveals in its coming issue out Friday. Disbanding - as Tripoli was encouraged by the State Department to claim - was the last thing on their minds. Still, in Washington, President Obama danced around calling the Benghazi attack which killed four US diplomats “terrorism,” admitting only that it “wasn’t’ mob action.”

As I've said before, Stevens was CIA, just as the majority of US foreign "diplomats" are and have been for several decades now. The rest of the world has known this forever, it is only our own ignorant pop-music obsessed American citizens and the like who do not yet realize this fact.

As sad as the loss of life always is, it has also somewhat amused me over the years when I've heard stories about US "diplomats" or "embassy staff" being kidnapped or killed - and how it is always portrayed in mass media as innocent State dept workers who were only there "to help the underprivileged and uncivilized" savages of whatever country.

In reality, they are overwhelmingly (and always have been) SPIES. And worse, they are often the very people who are most actively involved in the planning and implementation of all the financial, psychological and physical warfare (including more than a hundred coup d'etats the USA has caused in the past 40 years or so), against other sovereign nations - using the pretense of "friendly relations" with them, via US embassasies and consulates.

Unfortunately, the same is also true of other nations and their presence in the UN (which has always been well known as a nest of spies) and their embassies within the USA. But it's pretty hard to blame them, considering all of the criminal activity that the USA commits using diplomatic cover in US embassies all around the world.

  10. have you ever wondered how the New York Times and its journalists , the proverbial free press could end up acting as propaganda agents of the US regimes and telling lies to mislead the public? heres where you can learn the inner workings of the Paper of Record

the one issue i have with this is the idea that the media tell the truth and shed light for the public on world fact very little media do this...witness the BBC FOX CNN ABC SBS etc etc

  12. Good news! Iran has offered to end it's enrichment of uranium and Obama can declare a diplomatic victory!

And Binyamin Netanyahu drew a handy cartoon to explain it all:

So these guys are going to take yes for an answer, right? Israel drew a cartoon and Iran said will do.

I'm waiting for the press conference and champagne corks to pop in celebration of a diplomatic victory avoiding war.

  13. The 67 UNGA has finished with the Zionist and their FUKUS running with their tails between their legs. This session was meant to have been the crowning of Zionist take over of Syria, it did not happen. The main battle was to have been the destruction of the Citadel. As I have previously mentioned this whole Zionist episode should have been completed in May or early June before the Uranus square Pluto and Neptune axis. Time is running out for the USA and Israel the destabilisation of Venezuela is also in tatters, China and Japan was not meant to be so early in their equation. One thing that will defeat the Zionist axis, that is the weather, watch the weather closely El Nino is late and angry.

  14. Sense of humor
Syrian government sends rebels 'game over' text message
Text message, sent nationwide, appear to be part of psychological warfare; an Islamist militant group claims responsibility for double bombing in Damascus.

  15. On Tuesday Ahmadinejad hosted Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan much to the annoyance of the Zionists. This shows that Iran is confident about the lack of willingness of the USA to attack. Ahmadinejad is an extremely popular figure in the Nation of Islam. The coming week will also see the leaders of the people of the First Nation travelling to Tehran to solicit support of Iran and through it the NAM against illegal mining of their land. Recently Canada broke of relations with Iran could this be the reason?

  17. Interesting little story (not related to Syria) that I came across...

Domestic Terrorism Arrests Shock Small Community

It seems US anti-terrorism & law enforcement personnel have just stopped a 'major domestic terror attack', this time from right-wing types instead of the usual 'muslim' suspects.

According to the report, over 70 law enforcement personnel took part in the arrests of suspects, who were allegedly planning a major attack on government offices using large amounts of explosives as well as planning gas attacks on population centres using ricin.

Then the narrative starts to break down a bit...

    Apparently, 3 suspects in their 60's & 70's ???

The gas attack was supposedly going to be carried out by putting the gas in tanks, & driving really fast down freeways near population centre's ???

They show a few interviews with the locals, including the local sheriff, & he is obviously having trouble believing a word of it.

Anyway, the vast US 'anti-terrorism' machine looks like it has turned it's attention to more local potential trouble-makers, but this is bizarre even for that bunch.
Have p*ssed-off crotchety old men complaining on web-sites about the government now become major 'terrorist threats'?

    1. Well yeah, Ken - haven't you been paying attention at all?! lol

According to Janet "Big Sis" Napolitano, head of the insidious "Dept of Homeland Security" (and possibly the most incompetent govt official in US history, next to her boss, Barry O), the "Real Terrorists" are all of us US citizens who have a problem with increasing debt, taxes, limits on our freedoms and a govt that is becoming more tyrannical and intrusive on a daily basis.

You just have to figure out to WHOM they believe this threat exists. A threat to their absolute tyranny and desire to destroy our way of life? Yep, that's sort of a problem for most Americans, so we could definitely be considered a "threat", using their twisted logic.

Notice it is never themselves that they consider to be any threat to anyone, domestically or internationally - because, of course, they are enlightened ones and they know what is best for all of us serfs. ;)

    2. I have been following the wierd & not so wonderful world of the ongoing expansion of the US domestic security state, but even for them, this is a reach.

Suspects in their 60's & 70's??? Gas attacks by driving really fast down a freeway with tanks of poison gas sticking out the window???

This is flat-out crazy-land stuff, & falls below even the minimum level of credibility that Homeland Security has devised.
The average American in the street might buy cells of secret Muslim terrorists everywhere & dangerous right-wing militia's in the backwoods looking to overthrow the government, but this is just not remotely sellable to even the vastly credulous US citizenship, fed on a diet of Fox news & '24' tv episodes.

When they are getting this far off the rails, the whole narrative starts to fall to pieces...

  18. Another little snippet that I came across which might be of interest, this time likely relating to Syria...

How many A-10 combat planes can you count in this photo? All of them are deploying to the Middle East…

This is from the very solid Aviationist blog, which follows air-force news. Apparently, a pretty large number of A-10 CAS planes are being deployed to the Middle East - "they are believed to be part of the U.S. military build up in the area near Syria, Iran, Libya and Northern Mali."

The US also appears to be be trying to downplay the numbers being deployed. The A-10 is exactly the plane you need if you are trying to force a corridor into Syria in support of ground troops.

    1. This comment has been removed by the author.

    2. Ah yes, the infamous A-10 Warthogs...they are based not too far from where I live. But I'm sure they still keep many on "standby" at Aviano, Italy and Incirlik, Turkey - which is literally right there on top of Syria - you know, just so they're nearby for all of these "spontaneous" manufactured crises that they've been planning for years.

A-10s are known mostly for one thing - their 30 mm gatling guns that fire (exclusively) depleted uranium (DU) bullets, designed for penetrating enemy armour. See pic...

Looks like the globalist Empire wants to contaminate more regions of the earth permanently with DU particles in the dust for thousands of years.

I mean why stop now, when you've already heavily contaminated Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan? Why not just destroy the land for all the future generations in Syria and Mali, too??

And in case you're wondering about past deployment of A-10s: "Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, except during the Cyprus dispute, many types of U.S. Air Force warplanes, including A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, were based at Incirlik (Turkey)."

Pentagon and NATO = psychopaths. Every one of them.

  19. Another Syria related item:

Israeli minister's chief of staff causes diplomatic incident with Bulgaria

Looks like the Bulgarian government has been playing footsies with the Syrian 'opposition' for quite awhile, & a bit of tension is brewing between the various players. A lot is unsaid in this report as it was Haaretz, but looks like the 'terrorist' attacks that the Israeli's tried to pin on Iran is the background for it.
It now seems likely that they are the source of the attacks, & the Bulgarian's might be waking up to the idea that being one of the staging grounds for a bunch of salafi fruitcakes might not be a good idea, & Israel maybe not such a good 'friend' to have around.

Bulgaria also seems likely to be a source of atleast some of the mercenaries involved in the staging & support of the 'FSA', which makes a lot of sense.

Another report that touches on it, from Israeli based Victor Kostev with a lot left unsaid as expected:

    1. Hey Ken,

"Israel maybe not such a good 'friend' to have around."

That really says it all right there.

Ever notice how the people who are the "friends" of CIA and Israeli Mossad always end up being tomorrow's villains and "enemies"??

Noreiga, Hussein, Bin Laden just to name a few - and I'm sure there are thousands more who we'll never know their names who have been burned, blamed, framed and murdered by these monsters whenever it becomes convenient to do so.

If you're a "friend" of CIA or Mossad, you don't need enemies, that's for sure.

  20. Hey all!
When I have more time I will check out more thoroughly all the comments.
And a new name?! Ken M. Hello Ken!
