NATO's mercs attack Russian journalists in Golan. Emboldoned by Israel, of course

A Russian TV crew came under fire in Syria when a mainly civilian convoy taking the journalists to the Golan Heights was shelled by Syrian rebels
http://inserbia.info/news/2013/06/syria-russian-journalists-come-under-rebel-attack-in-golan-heights/

The convoy shelled on Saturday was led by a Syrian army military vehicle, and consisted of several cars occupied by civilians, including one with Russian TV journalists.

The shelling started when the cars were about 5 kilometers away from their destination – ‘Checkpoint Charlie’ – the only crossing between Syria and the Golan Heights, disputed territory claimed by both Syria and Israel.

“The Syrian troops started to fight the rebels back, but the insurgents targeted the civilian cars, said Evgeny Poddubny, the head of the Russian TV crew and special correspondent for Rossiya TV channel.
Throughout the fighting, a Russian cameraman kept filming; gunshots can be heard on the video for 15 minutes. The footage also features a Syrian army officer reporting to command that armed militants attacked first, that shelling was coming from both sides of the road.

“The convoy could not make it to the checkpoint, the rebels set an ambush on the road, fighting broke out, the military responded with heavy fire to cover the retreat of our TV crew, and then they retreated themselves. The militants were further confronted by the field artillery, which is deployed in the area,” Poddubny said.

“The militants use the status of the territory; they hide in the buffer zone and are carrying out attacks like the one you’ve just witnessed. Then they retreat. (Into Israel) And we cannot carry out special operations here – as that would be a breach of international agreements. Besides, the rebels are getting help from Israel – it supplies them with ammunition and even provides medical aid to terrorists in mobile hospitals,” Syrian army General Nasr Haidar, whose regiment is deployed in the area, told Rossiya.
Earlier reports said fighting over the only border crossing that separates the territory of Syria from the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights took place in the area on Thursday.

Syria can't rid itself of the NATO killers because that would be a breach of 'international agreements' but Israel can flagrantly breach the same 'international agreements'

I have mentioned this issue on a number of previous occasions at the blog

‘Fortress Israel’ grows with Golan Heights barrier

Israel acquiring yet more land, while the UN pretends to be anything but a tool of NATO/Israel.

And despite the spin in the above linked piece the Golan barrier was being constructed long before the battles  of Syria. Syria complained to the UN and that fell of deaf ears. Of course

The letter was sent to the secretary-general on August 8/2011 The Syrian ambassador wrote that the Israeli government was trying to separate the Syrian-Druze population of the Golan Heights from their Syrian motherland. "As instructed by my government, I wish to relay to you a complaint that the Israeli occupation authorities have begun the construction of a racist separation fence on the occupied Syrian Golan," the Syrian diplomat wrote.
Which tells us Israel had planned this fence well over two years ago...

The link just below the video (nserbia.info) wasn't working when I tried it.

US Administration planning to consider military aid to Syrian opposition

And the Israelis protecting the terrorists in Golan, the zionists are definitely in expansion mode, not retreat, like their terrorists are.

The missing player in the recent news is Turkey. They've been concentrating on shutting down the protests. The protests might keep Turkey busy enough they back off their terrorism against Syria some. Then again, the Turks might hope for a "patriotic response" if they attack Syria as part of the zionist planned escalation.

Hopefully, the Syrian military can finish the job of erradicating Israel's terrorists before Israel can get it's puppets in place for an attack. Not having any terrorists in Syria would make any Israeli orchestrated attack more risky.

What is interesting is not many are talking about what has recently happened in Golan. This sort of blackout sometimes presages action in the region being blacked out.

      I am talking about it
Maybe I am alone in the chatter, but, I have talked repeatedly about the situation in golan
because ..it has to be watched
As for Turkey. I am more concerned that with the protests Erdogan will be free to launch

      "I am talking about it"

And I'm glad you are. :)

I didn't look around the web very closely, busy over the weekend, but it seemed not many were talking about it. As most media and websites seem to be part of Israel's public relations network, perhaps this is why the silence:

“The militants use the status of the territory; they hide in the buffer zone and are carrying out attacks like the one you’ve just witnessed. Then they retreat. And we cannot carry out special operations here – as that would be a breach of international agreements. Besides, the rebels are getting help from Israel – it supplies them with ammunition and even provides medical aid to terrorists in mobile hospitals,” Syrian army General Nasr Haidar, whose regiment is deployed in the area, told Rossiya."

That was from nserbia.info story, that's now working - thanks.

  2. Humanitarian Crisis in Syria: “The West should Pay War Reparations to Syria”. Interview with Michel Chossudovsky

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/humanitarian-crisis-in-syria-the-west-should-pay-war-reparations-to-syria-interview-with-michel-chossudovsky/5338250

..."And I think what we should be raising at this stage is that it is well established that this war was waged by the United States, NATO and Israel with the support of the [Persian] Gulf states, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in particular and that under international law what is now required is war reparations.

So I would say: let us put the “humanitarian dimension” aside and focus on the billions and billions of dollars of war reparations, which are due to the Syrian government as a result of the legal support of these terrorist formations in Syria, which constitute essentially the ground forces – the foot soldiers of the Western military alliance.

Press TV: The recent victory in Qusayr and the recent revelation that Israeli-made weapons were seized from Syrian insurgents – What impact will this have on the dynamics of the conflict?

Chossudovsky: We’ve known from day one that Israel has supported al-Qaeda. And we also know that Israel has channeled weapons and logistic support to the rebels in the areas surrounding the occupied areas of the Golan Heights. And in fact Israel even established a hospital facility for the al-Qaeda rebels and was busing them back and forth, taking the wounded to the hospital and then sending them back to the war theatre.

Israel was involved in acts of aggression against a sovereign state together with NATO, particularly Turkey, Britain, France, the United States. French and British Special Forces, including SAS forces, MI6 and CIA agents were involved – We know it because it’s documented. Who is training the rebels in chemical weapons? The Western military alliance."...

    1. Yes, we have known from the beginning that Israel was involved

Way, way back I had a post on how Israel wanted to send 'aid' to the refugees in Turkey
of course the 'refugees' were the fighters ensconced in the 'refugee camps'
I think, going on recall when I put forth that concept here some readers of my blog might have thought me daft, but, in the end I was vindicated

"I think, going on recall when I put forth that concept here some readers of my blog might have thought me daft"

Hopefully now more people will know better and realise when there is war crimes going on, the Israelis usually are involved at some level.

  3. Thanks for keeping us informed of exactly what our zionist sycophants in power are supporting with our taxes.
Although demonstrative of the underhand tactics displayed by the insurgents throughout, trained by our own, it is low in the league of despicable acts performed by those that have sold their soul.
In "compensation" for the loss of Qusayr, the insurgents wiped out a christian village, got some crazies to blow themselves up killing innocents in the process and actually did some fighting on behalf of unspeakable neocons that would spit on them in different circumstances.

"NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen announced Tuesday the alliance will send an expert mission to Libya on short notice to assess needs as the country faces a flow of insurgents from Mali.

Security experts worry that the al-Qaida-linked militants — pushed out of Mali after French military intervention — may be trying to establish a safe haven in southern Libya.

The mission "will go as soon as possible and, together with the Libyans, identify the areas in which the Libyans think they need advice and areas where we do believe we can add value," Rasmussen said ahead of the opening session of a meeting of NATO defence ministers.

He insisted it will not mean putting troops on the ground in the North African nation.

"This is not about deploying troops to Libya. If we are to engage in training activities, such activities could take place outside Libya," he said."

I don't believe NATO at all..

Gas platform attack? Have to look that one up unless you have a link handy?
