IS enters Palestinian camp in Damascus, Jordan closes border

I will highlight an interesting couple of sentences near the end...

How accurate this reporting is, I'm not sure. It seems entirely plausible.
Haven't delved into it deeply enough, but the last paragraph just flabbergasted me!
How could the tool at the Guardian write that sentence with a straight face? Seriously.

ISLAMIC State (IS) militants infiltrated a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus yesterday, marking the deepest foray yet by the extremist group into the capital, seat of President Bashar Assad’s power, Syrian opposition activists and Palestinian officials said.
Jordan, meanwhile, closed its only functioning border crossing with Syria, following heavy clashes on the Syrian side between rebels and government forces.
Islamic State fighters, who control large swaths of territory in northern Syria, entered the Yarmouk camp from the nearby Hajar Aswad neighborhood in southern Damascus and were clashing with a Palestinian group inside the camp. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the IS group took control of large parts of the camp.
If they gain full control of the camp, they can potentially threaten the heart of the capital.
Yarmouk, a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Damascus, has been under government siege for nearly two years. UN aid workers have been sending food parcels into the camp, where thousands of civilians remain trapped and in desperate need of food and medicine.
The camp had witnessed fighting in the past between government forces and militants who control much of the camp.
The Observatory reported heavy clashes in the camp between IS fighters and members of the Palestinian faction called Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis.
Statement below from Anwar Raja:

*Anwar Raja, the spokesman for the pro-Assad Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command, said that IS fighter entered the camp from the nearby neighborhood of Hajar Aswad where they have been based for months. He added that yesterday’s push into the camp came in coordination between IS and their rivals in the Nusra Front, al-Qaida’s branch in Syria.
“The Nusra Front opened the road for them in order to infiltrate the camp and several hours ago they entered Yarmouk,” Raja said by telephone.
The last sentence written by "Editor of Conscience, Nurtured by Truth"

"It was not immediately clear why Nusra would facilitate the entry of IS into the camp".
Absolute bullshit!
Really, it wouldn't be immediately clear why Brand A & Brand B of NATO's Islamist irregulars would be coordinating together?
Because, in my opinion it's plenty clear why al Nusra and ISIS would be cooperating. Together. As they have all along!

Yemen: Foreign Troops at Aden? Snipers! AQ Jailbreak redux. Location! UPDATED!

  1. Because the "Conscience, Nurtured by Truth" is in fact "CONSCIENCE NUTURED BY ARROGANCE AND DECEIT"

Intriguing is the mention of "the Palestinian faction called Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis" in Syria.

"On the 19 June 2012 Majlis Shura al-Mujahedin Fi Aknaf Bayt al-Maqdis (the Mujahidin Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem, or MSC) announced itself, issuing two statements and a video martyrdom message from the attackers, Abu Salah al-Masri and Abu Hadhifa al-Hidhali. Both men were killed by Israeli security forces following the attack, and a senior MSC member was killed by an Israeli airstrike near Rafah today.

The choice of non-Palestinians to conduct the attacks could be part of a conscious effort to establish the Sinai as a new base of jihad operations, providing an opportunity for all Muslims -- not just Palestinians -- to fight Israel. And the MSC's credentials are enhanced by the fact that its statements and video were first posted on al-Qaeda's official jihadist forum, Shamukh al-Islam, by an organization called Ibn Taymiyah Media, a Palestinian global jihadist media outlet most closely associated with imprisoned cleric Sheikh Abu al-Walid al-Maqdisi and his followers.

In its releases, MSC named the operation the "Raid of Support for al-Aqsa and the Prisoners," dedicating it to "the reviver" Usama bin Laden, the people of Syria, the "mujahedin in the fields of jihad," and the oppressed jihadist "lions" in Gaza. It also described the raid as the opening round in the second Battle of Hattin, evoking Salah al-Din's 1187 retaking of Jerusalem from Crusader forces.

The last time a global jihadist organization used the name "Majlis Shura al-Mujahedin" was in Iraq, when al-Qaeda co-opted and consolidated smaller factions following the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (today, the organization is known as "the Islamic State of Iraq"). If this precedent holds any weight, it suggests that Gaza's jihadist factions -- including Jamaat al-Tawhid wal-Jihad Fi Filistin, Jamaat Ansar al-Sunna, Jaish al-Islam, Jund Ansar Allah, Jaish al-Ummah, and Masadah al-Mujahedin Fi Filistin -- may have finally consolidated to establish MSC. If so, it is cause for concern: MSC would have far more operational freedom in Sinai than in Gaza, where Hamas has held jihadists at bay".

    Another fake anti-Israel "jihad"?

    1. thanks wizoz!
I see Ziad at syper mentioned that Syria used a hyberbaric bomb (spelling?) on the islamist irregulars which may have sent the 'rats' scurrying into the camp

' "Conscience, Nurtured by Truth" is in fact "CONSCIENCE NUTURED BY ARROGANCE AND DECEIT"
      now that's an interesting thought?

"The last time a global jihadist organization used the name "Majlis Shura al-Mujahedin" was in Iraq, when al-Qaeda co-opted and consolidated smaller factions ......

Interesting because I read another 'news item ' today that speaks of consolidation?

    2. Penny,

It is an interesting thought indeed and I am really sorry that it doesn't belong to me! I was under the impression that you were aware of what Guardian was about and quotations were superfluous.
It was in fact the Guardian Nigerian newspaper, whose motto is Conscience, nurtured by Truth. The "interesting thought" was actually copied and pasted from which published an article titled C..DECEIT. Nigerians are fond of this "jeu de mots" (Nigeria: The Guardian, Conscience nurtured by half-truths @ I admit that it was bad practice, but I could not resist to a "bon mot" offered gratis.
Please tell me about the other "news item".

    3. I wasn't aware of what the Guardian was but yes the quotations were because I found that attribution bogus.

"There are emerging reports that worldwide renowned terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, will soon be disbanding so that its members can be free from their oath of loyalty to the group and join the Islamic State jihadist group. "

and this site- North Africa Post- is very weird- as in who writes for it?
check out their authors list, and you will see what I mean

    4. oops to continue with my comment- so they are definitely talking consolidation between ISIS and AQ (not that they aren't already)
but it's interesting that they are putting this forward as if to make ISIS a very big threat...

  2. Thank you Penny,

There is no wonder. All goes according to a plan written decades ago. The idea of the Caliphate is anything but recent and was concocted in the offices of Western Intelligence agencies, Masonic Lodges, Zionists, bankers and financiers who stand behind the curtain, as a tool of the British-based Globalists whose main objective is to spread the chaos which would lead to the establishment of the NWO (with Russia and China in the cross-hairs) by using the "energies" of the Islamic world.

"Hizb ut-Tahrir (Arabic: حزب التحرير‎ Ḥizb at-Taḥrīr; Party of Liberation) is an international pan-Islamic political organisation. They are commonly associated with the goal of all Muslim countries unifying as an Islamic state or caliphate ruled by Islamic law (sharia) and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims.
The organization was founded in 1953 as a Sunni Muslim organization in Jerusalem by Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an Islamic scholar and appeals court judge (Qadi) from the Palestinian village of Ijzim. Since then Hizb ut-Tahrir has spread to more than 50 countries and by one estimate has about one million members. Hizb ut-Tahrir is very active in the West, particularly in the United Kingdom, and is also active in several Arab and Central Asian countries, despite being banned by some governments. The group also has a growing presence in North America, known as Hizb ut-tahrir America, or HTA.
Hizb ut-Tahrir states its aim as unification of all Muslim nations over time in a unitary Islamic state or caliphate, headed by an elected caliph. This, it holds, is a religious duty, "an obligation that Allah has decreed for the Muslims and commanded them to fulfill. He warned of the punishment awaiting those who neglect this duty." (Wikipedia)

Today Hizb ut-Tahrir operates in plain view all over the world. In Australia, despite the fact that it was declared a terrorist organization, it is allowed to publicly 'condemn any, "watering down of Islam"', to urge its supporters "not to turn the other cheek if Muhammad is insulted" (beheadings!). Australians protesting their insolence are routinely attacked (physically) by the radical left. Any proposal to ban it is opposed by politicians left and right and let to openly call for a Muslim army to impose Sharia law in Australia! (gleaned from the Australian MSM)

The Muslim Brotherhood was established in 1928 (secretly by MI6) in accordance with [it's ostensible founder Hassan] al-Banna’s proclamation that Islam should be “given hegemony over all matters of life.” Toward that end, the Brotherhood seeks to establish an Islamic caliphate, or kingdom -- first spanning all of the present-day Muslim world, and eventually the entire globe. Hamas was a creation of Israel recruited from the ranks of the MB, as the "straw man" of Israel's "fight against tehrhorhism".

    1. thanks wizoz- interesting history
