Surprise Announcement? Al Nusra Will Not Fight to Make an ISIS Free Zone

What?! A surprise announcement. I don't think so. Nice spin, though.

Here's the news:

1.   Al-Nusra has a strong foothold against ISIS in northern Aleppo province, but, has announced "surprise withdrawal"

2. Al Qaeda in Syria leaves area where Turkey seeks buffer

3.  Nusra announces surprise withdrawal from frontline against ISIS

It said the decision was being taken to avoid cooperating with a US-Turkish plan to create an IS-free zone in northern Aleppo province, along the Turkish border.
Al-Nusra is a key opponent of IS in the northern province of Aleppo along with its powerful Islamist aAl-Qaeda's Syria affiliate
Al-Qaeda's Syria affiliate Al-Nusra Front has announced a surprise withdrawal from its front lines against its jihadist rival Islamic State (ISIS) in areas along Syria's northern border with Turkey

Why, oh why,  does Al Nusra have it's panties all in a bunch over this decision to create an ISIS free zone? Doesn't AQ/ Al Nusra fight ISIS? Isn't that what we have been told. Certainly that is the claim being made Why isn't Al Nusra therefore chomping at the bit to fight their avowed enemies and clear this territory?

 What is the real problem?

Just addressing this circumstance specifically, only the Jordan Times spells it out. With a bit of misdirection, which will be clarified.

"Al Nusra said Turkey was acting to prevent the formation of a Kurdish state in northern Syria, and the Turkish government and the US-led alliance against Daesh were seeking to direct the battle according to their priorities"

Turkey was acting to prevent the formation of a Kurdish State in Northern Syria by creating an "ISIS Free Zone"?

Preventing a Kurdish state by creating an ISIS free zone - Think about that for a few minutes......

-How does AQ/ AlNusra Front think an ISIS free zone could impede the creation of a Kurdish state?
-The Kurds are the enemies of ISIS- so we're told
-The Kurds being the fiercest fighters against ISIS. and all that drivel....
-How on earth could an ISIS free zone impede the creation of a Kurdish state?

Contradiction? A very big one!

Unless: KurdIShIS.  KurdIShIS.  KurdIShIS. As has been made clear at this blog, abundantly!

The misdirection is  here: "the US-led alliance against Daesh were seeking to direct the battle according to their priorities. "

The US led alliance is not going to direct the battle according to Turkish priorities. NATO has already sold Turkey down the river.  It's a bit early yet to figure out what the US is up to in this situation- However, directing this battle according to Turkish priorities is not the US/NATO/Israeli goal.

And one last question?

If Turkey was such a big unabashed supporter of ISIS, why would they even want an "ISIS free zone"?

Flashback:

ISIL’s/ISIS magazine slams Erdoğan, Turkey for first time.

  1. Just left this comment at MoA- where it will be marginalized if published at all
    Why?
But because I don't promote the pre approved gate keeper memes...

"The Turkish president Erdogan wants these areas to block a Kurdish autonomous area in north Syria"

    OMG! Of course he does.

Erdogan knows as do the Turks that a Kurdistan in Syria and one in Iraq spells death and destruction for Turkey

What the hell do you expect him to do?

b advocates for exactly what has been going on. The removal of resident Syrians from their home and lands, via the NATO backed ethnic cleansing of Arabs, Christians and many others by the mass bombings and the murderous, child stealing Kurdish militias.

For the creation of a NATO backed Kurdish terror state- super ally of Israel

Do you realize what the Kurds with their American death flights have been doing to the Syrians Not allowing them to go back to their homes at all. Never mind the abuse NATO backed Kurds have been heaping on their kin folk

Of course, b, wait a day or two to let this pass after all it is your blog and you control the information, completely
Hence the marginalization of comments that don't jibe with official memes and agendas as promoted by the likes of yourself and other gatekeepers

  2. And yes, I do hold the opinion that MoA, and many other sites function as gatekeepers to control the discourse. That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it for very good reasons

  4. Hi Penny,

I found your blog through syrianperspective.com. Many years ago I turned away from MSM and found my news via "alternative" media but even this source of information didn't seem quite right. It wasn't until Euromaidan in Ukraine that I finally understood the all pervasive nature of western propoganda/psyops/psywar. It is hard to find any writers that understand this. I'm happy I found your blog! :)

    1. Thanks Kent

I've been feeling quite disheartened as of late- witnessing the so called 'alternative' media doing nothing but regurgitating msm themes with a bit of a different twist or spin but not much else.

No real questioning of what is being presented.
And it seems like many smaller sites get their talking points from the bigger so called alt media sites

Hence my use of the term 'repeaters'

All this cheerleading for Kurdistan and those alleged upstanding fighters?? I don't get it!
When the kurds themselves are being harmed by the kurdish militias?
      Not to mention everyone else!

And then there is the so called left progressives who cheer lead again for the Kurds- and their state built on the blood of how many tens of thousands of dead Syrians. Dead Iraqis. Dead Turks.
Dead Christians- Dead Alawites. Dead Shias and Dead Sunni muslims.

Millions of displaced human beings, their homes and lives stolen and the despicable alt media cheers this on- for a rehash of the creation of Israel -

And all these years later, we all get to see how well that worked out!!

These repeaters and thoughtless agenda promoters are pure evil. That's how I feel about it!

Pure evil- And these same people pose as environmentalist while never saying a word about the massive environmental damage from war

It's sick and right about now I've had all I can take

  5. Penny,
Agreed. The hardest thing I wrestle with is that pay US taxes and I fund the empire. I don't believe in the excuse of "just following orders". I have blood on my hands even though I never fired a shot. I fund the machine and I am an accomplice. It's sickening.
