Updated! "Airstrike"on the UN Humanitarian Convoy in Syria- Not Bloody Likely!

Alleged? Yup! I can't even conclude this actually happened.

So, there is my first question: Did this attack take place at all?

The US immediately and I mean immediately began spinning 'airstrikes' by either Syrian or Russian airforces- The US gov is a fabulously, notorious liar!

US ‘outraged’ after air strike hits aid convoy in Syria

"Syrian or Russian aircraft struck an aid convoy killing 12 people, according to a the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights"
Secondly, when reading this news yesterday I was struck by the claim that it was either Syrian or Russian aircraft?  Well, which was it?

Third issue.....The report came from SOHR. SOHR is not the most reliable source. Their information would only ever be used here at the blog, and has been used,  if the claims SOHR is making or putting forward lines up with multiple other sources.
In the case of the  airstrike- The claims are not lining up!!!

Naming Perpetrator of Attack on Aleppo Aid Convoy Premature - UN
The United Nations notified Russia and the United States of the attack on a humanitarian aid convoy in Syria, and expects an investigation, a spokesman of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said Tuesday, naming the perpetrator of the attack was premature.
Gosh, if it was Russia or Syrian airstrikes why would the UN contact the US and not name the perpetrator?

The next paragraph should make it a bit clearer

On Monday, the OCHA said that the aid convoy crossed the conflict line in the Big Orem area of the Syrian city of Aleppo. Later in the day, UN officials stated that the convoy had been shelled and there were casualties.
The convoy was shelled.
"They are fully aware of what has happened… We are still trying to establish exactly what happened. Both sides have influence on those who have access to these kinds of weapons so we are giving that information to them"

Possibly by US backed rebels which excludes an airstrike (unless US planes/drones were involved) - hence the notification of the US by the UN - It really does appear, if anything at all occurred, it was not via airstrikes.
According to Laerke, both the Damascus forces and the opposition groups were aware of the fact that the convoy would attempt to deliver aid, and had given permission for it to do so.
Both forces were aware of the delivery... so who would have shelled the convoy?

IFRC Says Unaware of Who Attacked Aid Convoy:
On Monday, the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the aid convoy crossed the conflict line in the Big Orem area of the Syrian city of Aleppo. Later in the day, UN officials stated that the convoy had been shelled and there were casualties.
"We do not know exactly whom that attack came from. It is not possible for us to know so quickly after the event what the source of the attack was or who was directly involve but what we do know whenever the convoy moves all relevant Military authorities are informed after movement together with the exact plan of what is going to happen," the official said.

As of right now it's doubtful there were any airstrikes.
I'm not even sure there were casualties! Notice who is validating claims of casualties

Oh look two props in one image- White Helmet/Tshirt (branding) & UN Logo!
Wonder what is written/printed below the UN Logo (more branding)

 Fox News
Rami Abdurrahman of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which tracks the civil war, and Aleppo-based activist Bahaa al-Halaby both said the attack killed 12 people.
SOHR claims airstrikes and casualties
Among the victims was Omar Barakat who headed the Red Crescent in the town where the attack occurred, they said. The Syrian Civil Defense, the volunteer first responder group also known as the White Helmets, confirmed that casualty figure.
The convoy, part of a routine interagency dispatch operated by the Syrian Red Crescent, was hit in rural western Aleppo province. The White Helmets first responder group posted images of a number of vehicles on fire and a video of the attack showed huge balls of fire in a pitch black area, as ambulances arrive on the scene.
And the White Helmets post images/videos on line and validate casualty claims:

Pardon me for not buying this psyop as presented with airstrikes, fireballs and mass casualties.

This whole scenario positively reeks of a US backed rebel attack on the convoy. With a propaganda campaign at ready to promote a bogus narrative. To blame frame Russia and or Syria and obfuscate/hide the intentional US/NATO hit/ killing of 80 plus SAA in an egregious criminal act!

Kremlin says Russian military checking reports of Syria aid convoy strikes

  1. Don't forget, just as with the 'bomb' in NYC, this event just by coincidently happens right before the UN General Assembly
    timing is everything

Erdogan is to speak at said assembly btw.
This news article I presume is just a warm-up

IF [ and I never did subscribe to the theory] Russia tipped him off on the coup, he just signed his own demise and Turkey's too possibly.

    1. Not sure why you think he signed his own demise?

“Turkey will not act unilaterally to liberate Raqqa. We will get involved in actions taken by the [U.S.-led] coalition forces”

Taking out ISIS/L Daesh is where the US, Russia and Syria are all on the same page- Russia and the US cooperate on taking this bunch out- Erdogan is saying Turkey is not going to Raqqa on it's own- In other words doesn't want to be drawn further into this fight..

      Seems prudent enough

I do have the opinion Russia tipped Erdogan off wrt the coup- And I see no conflict for Turkey here, between US and Russia over the fight against ISIS

"A Western diplomat in Ankara who wished to remain anonymous due to his sensitive position said Turkish and US expectations regarding Raqqa were ultimately discordant “The Americans suspect that Turkey only wants to join the Raqqa operation to prevent the PYD from gaining a foothold there,” the diplomat told Al-Monitor.

"According to Duran, Turkey is “objecting to a power grab by the PKK and Shiite militants in Mosul at the expense of local Turkmens and the peshmerga.”

    7. “The future of Syria should be determined by its own people ... Why is this killer [al-Assad] being backed by some states?” Erdoğan said. “Al-Assad cannot be part of any transitional period ... the world should find a solution that does not involve al-Assad ... Syria’s territorial integrity should be respected by other countries,” he added.

US moves on Mosul. "Kurds" lock it up with the support of Turkmen but no militias (Abadi just said undecided on militia participation - but with US training Iran PKK militias TBD). Turkish troops carve into Syria. US specops and airbases provide the Rojava cover. Post Mosul, insurgency kicks into high gear Southeast Turkey with Turkey loss compensated by gain at Syria expense. Syria divided just as CIA Brennan has said repeatedly will happen which is in fact what Kissinger said years ago. Turkey safe zone moves appears to be a premature carrier landing (Russia carrier back in the zone by mid October rumored to be stand in for attack helicopters platform a la mistral). The escalation in Van would appear to attest to that. Russia keeps its bases Latakia/Khmeimim, Tartus forgo Qamishli?

Interesting that rumor yesterday about the Iraq fusion center shut down? Such an outcome would NOT be favored by Iran (Russia bomber use of airbase shut down as Rouhani guards protested but days ago rumors surfaced of negotiations again for deployments). And former President Ahmadinejad to Run in 2017

    8. the Erdogan quote doesn't make sense to me..
and I'm wondering if it's out of context. varying dates and more then one quote joined together...

I'd have to see that quote from multiple sources, cause it's just not linear in context and time frame
there are numerous articles about Erdogan in New York- much of it so far appears to be about gulen

  2. I would say the convoy was indeed real.. But it was NOT carrying "humanitarian aid" as the liars try to promote, but actual weapons for ISIS...

The dead giveaway that this is a fraud is of course the "white helmets" involvement... Those "white helmets" are a front for the US/Israel/NATO criminal cabal and have been used to supply weapons to the US bought and paid for mercenaries...

    2. Ban Ki Moon always whines... What else can that man do?

The ceasefire ended when the US struck SAA- they were on the spot and that was their out- tragically for all concerned

Try not to be too fearful Ally- It's a confusing situation, and that makes it tough, I know that well, but don't let fear get the better of you..

  5. I say that because Erdogan seems to want to have his cake and eat it too, playing nice w/ US + Rus, but still stating loudly.. Assad must go ! yet again.

Erdogan is literally taking away a Huge chunk (5000 square Km of N Syria for his safe zone where he is planning moving 'refugees' out of Turkey, and when the new elections are called for,( and they will-yet again) there may be enough votes (bought or fraud in some way) to oust or support 'questions' about the vote and legitimacy of ASSAD's presidency by the West.

I don't believe Russia will go for the loss of Sovereignty in the North AND give up Aleppo while at the same time supporting Syria's Golan efforts w/ israel occupying their land in the south.
And make no mistake, Rus does support Golan as do more and more members of UN. They have for years been against the settlements in Palestine / israel and are strongest voice in UN to make israel go back to 1968 (? forget if that's the # right now) borders.

could be very wrong, and it sure wouldn't be the first or last time :)
just stuff bouncing around in my tired old brain :)
