PKK/YPG Take Syria's Largest Oil Field in Deir Ez Zor with US Help

Yup, that terror crowd sure get's by with a lot of help from it's friends!
DW

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) aka PKK, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters, on Sunday captured one of Syria's largest oil fields in the Deir el-Zour province.
Riding on the heels of victory against the "Islamic State" (IS) militant group in Raqqa, the SDF is racing to seize parts of Syria's oil-rich Deir el-Zour province.
PKK in Raqqa

On Sunday, the Kurdish-led forces announced they took full control of the al-Omar oil field in eastern Syria after forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad came under attack from IS militants.

So ISIS left the oil fields to attack SAA enabling the PKK to take them? That's how I'm reading this news- KurdIShIS anyone?

The SDF added that pro-government forces were about three kilometers (1.86 miles) away from the oil field.

NYPost

The U.S.-led coalition said allied fighters captured Syria’s largest oil field from the Islamic State group on Sunday, marking a major advance against the extremists in an area coveted by pro-government forces. (Stealing Syrian resources)

The SDF, with air support from the U.S.-led coalition, said Sunday it captured the Al-Omar field in a “swift and wide military operation. (as usual)

It's been a source of constant amazement (not) how swiftly ISIS folds to PKK- Time and time again. Like a coordinated series of moves and counter moves.  Centrally coordinated, that is.

  1. I'm sure this 'tag-team wrestling' performance of the PKK and ISIS is not fooling anyone with power in the region.

The PKK/SDF can only establish their Kosovo-like statelet through either the agreement of surrounding govts (which will never happen) or through massive and ongoing US military occupation (which won't/can't happen either).

Th best the PKK can hope for is to be able to trade the oil fields fo political concessions but I don't like their chances because their strategic position (totally dependent on US supplies and military support) is so weak. The US is slowly being squeezed out of the MIddle East.

    1. Hey james!

I know Russia has made statements regarding the KurdIShIS dance for some time now
      As has Turkey
      As has Syria

Kosovo, funny you mentioned that- I wrote that so long ago about this pushed for Kurdistan being just another terror state -drugs, organs, people

      Khazars
      Kosovars
      Kurds
the KKK of terror states- flew over most people's heads
same as my theory of the interplay between Kurds and ISIS..

Always knew the time would come when the collusion between the two parties would become too obvious to ignore or obfuscate!
