Warming Arctic Causes Arctic Ice Growth- Seriously NASA?

Go back to the post: Propaganda is the Art of Overwhelming Logic
And yes, it's relative.
(outlink at above post) Contradictions (A and not-A)

In classical logic, the law of non-contradiction (LNC) (also known as the law of contradiction, principle of non-contradiction (PNC), or the principle of contradiction) states that contradictory statements cannot both be true in the same sense at the same time, e.g. the two propositions "A is B" and "A is not B" are mutually exclusive. It is the second of the three classic laws of thought.
Contradictory Statement: Warming Arctic Causes Arctic Ice Growth

Warm
a: having or giving out heat to a moderate or adequate degree warm weather a warm fire
b : serving to maintain or preserve heat especially to a satisfactory degree a warm sweater
c : feeling or causing sensations of heat brought about by strenuous exertion

Ice Forms: How does the water freeze?

Freezing happens when the molecules of a liquid get so cold that they slow down enough to hook onto each other, forming a solid crystal.

Ask a scientist
Liquids boil when their molecules heat up to the point that they start moving so quickly that they can vaporize and turn into a gas. For water, this happens at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Freezing happens when the molecules of a liquid get so cold that they slow down enough to hook onto each other, forming a solid crystal. For pure water, this happens at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
For salt water it's lower.

Recap:

When water heats up, molecules speed up,  it forms a gas and vaporizes,

When water gets cold, the molecules slow down and form a solid crystal.

Therefore: Warming CANNOT create more ice.

Contradiction- Warm Arctic Causes Ice to Growth

Cognitive Dissonance:
Cognitive dissonance refers to a situation involving conflicting attitudes, beliefs or behaviors. This produces a feeling of mental discomfort leading to an alteration in one of the attitudes, beliefs or behaviors to reduce the discomfort and restore balance.

For example, when people smoke (behavior) and they know that smoking causes cancer (cognition), they are in a state of cognitive dissonance.
When you believe that a warming Arctic would increase ice you are in a state of cognitive dissonance as well.  Because that is a contradiction.

Geofish :NASA Cracked About Arctic Ice

Harold should have said NASA was on crack. At least then the irrationality of their contention would be understandable. Not believable, but, understandable..
Ice Volume for 2018 is UP and looking to have increased greatly

Thanks Harold!

WUWT
“But at the same time that sea ice is vanishing quicker than it has ever been observed in the satellite record, it is also thickening at a faster rate during winter.
This increase in growth rate might last for decades, a new study accepted for publication in Geophysical Research Letters found.
This does not mean that the ice cover is recovering, though. Just delaying its demise.”

Nice spin.. aka perception management “delaying it’s demise”
Though it reads as if the ice is recovering, quite a bit.
But, let’s not state that, since it doesn't fit the agenda.
Even though it's stated “This increase in growth rate could last for decades”
Which  must means it’s ‘recovering’

Recover:  Make up for a loss : Middle English (originally with reference to health): from Anglo-Norman French recoverer, from Latin recuperare ‘get again’.

Warm Arctic, Increased Winter Sea Ice Growth?
These model simulations showed that in the 1980s, when Arctic sea ice was on average 6.6 feet thick in October, about 3.3 extra feet of ice would form over the winter.
That rate of growth has increased and may continue to do so for several more decades in some regions of the Arctic; in the coming decades, we could have an ice pack that would on average be only around 3.3 feet thick in October, but could experience up to 5 feet of ice growth over the winter.
You’re supposed to believe that 5 feet of ice growth could occur in the winter when it’s warmer?
And that's not recovering. It's just delaying it's demise for decades. LOL

I don’t have cognitive dissonance

I feel no discomfort, while holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously.
Nor do I smoke and lie to myself.

Obviously. Quite obviously it's colder. Period!

    2. Forget the "French Revolution" of 1789 as a model, if that is what you are referencing, because it was probably another (the first?) bankster revolution.

    3. wallflower: when I go to the beach in the summer.. and the water is warmer... can't help but notice the absence of ice. Contrary to NASA's claims.

Yah, and it spread "enlightennment" as was claimed, but, I don't actually think so- story for another day!

    5. Really a pity you can't read french. The books and conference of Marion Sigaut are wonderful eye openers concerning the history of the revolution and the pre-revolutionarty regime.
There's one thing that most people miss with the French revolution, is that the "liberals" had put in place their agenda "free market and liberalism" (called the physiocrats) long before the revolution (Turgot died in 1781 for example). That was in fact the big fault Louis XVI made, he put the liberals in charge of the realm. This is, what drove people to rebel. The bourgeoisie then took over and installed the terror regime. The repression was done against the old order of things and it is clear from the historical record that the normal commoner sided with the old regime and wanted a restoration of the kingdom as it was before the liberals ran things. This can be seen with the rebellion of the Chouans that was repressed in what can be called the first genocide.

    6. Gallier2:

Gallier the Elder sent me a piece on this topic, translated, read it yesterday, and will post it here at the blog- for everyone to read. Hopefully today.

  2. Makes sense to me. The thickening ice continues to thin; the cooling climate continues to warm. Everything is fine. Now excuse whilst I grab another can of Kool Aid from the fridge...

    *pffft*

Ah, that tastes great -- it is so kool it is warm.

  3. As the famous propagandist and profiteer of global warming scheme A Gore stated in support of some mad climatologist and his own agenda "It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis" there you have it, NASA wasn't first.
Now we don't hear term "global warming" as much as we hear new and more inert term "climate change" which still gives them reason for imposing draconian measures such as some 250% carbon tax here in Alberta and yes which worked miracles I admit as it reverted global warming and we had our first to stay snow in middle of September. (Sarcasm intended)
Rethorical question is if that tax would be 125% would we get our first to stay snow in middle if October? Or what about truly climate saving tax of say 500% (sarkazm intended)
Dictate of perverted science is upon us expect for more to come.
In retrospect I do believe that human activity impacts climate but I am not sure how much and how.
One thing I do agree with Gore and his cohorts is that polar caps were melting at unprecedented rate on Earth but also on Mars but I object to be somehow blamed and penalized for it. Whether planet is facing man made global cooling or warming as we are discussing, either outcome is much less serious than nuclear winter which is increasingly more real and frightening lately.

  4. Let's summarize those thoughts.

Objection is that what authorities were promoting as global warming due to human caused green house emissions is actually observed as global cooling likely caused by reduced solar activity which in fact is them moving goalposts of their agenda.
Reality is that humans are misled about arrival of colder weather and due to this bogus the humans are utterly unaware thus unprepared for this unpleasant scenario.
If that is you position I am with you.
