Covid-1984: Fighting the Fear Virus, With Reality.

Following up on the fallacy of wearing gloves as a way to not spread the virus.
Notice no recommendation to wear a mask, still? Wash your hands, use hand sanitizer only if necessary- It's really not rocket science. It's just common sense.

The toughest virus that needs fighting is FEAR

The CDC is stating that the way this virus spread is NOT necessarily, though possibly, by touching a surface or object unless you touch your face (which you will for sure if you're wearing a mask)

COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly through close contact from person-to-person.

The virus does not spread easily in other ways

COVID-19 is a new disease ( that's loosey goosey) and we are still learning about how it spreads. It may be possible for COVID-19 to spread in other ways, but these are not thought to be the main ways the virus spreads.
  • From touching surfaces or objects. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus.
Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

  1. Hey, Penny: Did you see in the Globe that Trudeau intends to wear a mask in Parliament? Can you imagine what's going to collect on that beard? Or do suppose he shaved first?

  2. all part of the theatre... of the absurd
If he doesn't shave his mask will be filthy-
    shakes head..

  3. Fear of the virus is not based in reality but fear of the destruction (economical, cultural, psychological, spiritual) and death (by despair, food shortage, oppression) that is being generated by using fear of the virus is too real by far. By cover of covid they make war on humanity.

Penny, good on ya for phoning CTV. We don't have TV so the only glimpse I have at the idiocy of our "leaders" is in short clips included in videos made by people who are valiantly trying to bring truth to light. Today I'm going to get caught up on the last few UK Column episodes, maybe even have time for some Ron Paul and Richie Allen since it's raining outside. (Spring is being agonizingly slow to get in full gear this year. No blossoms yet but leaves are tentatively popping out and there's a smattering of daffodils to be seen.)

Saw my family doctor, with family in tow, at a newly "open for dine in" cafe today. (They picked up treats to go while we enjoyed a sit down with hot chocolate and soup.) They say libraries will open in Phase 2 but they don't give a date for that. -- M. Rocknest

    1. Re: CTV- I emailed them regarding two of their misleading reports...

Yes, the leaves are coming out finally here as well. And hubby busily transplanted and did yard work, while I did some spring cleaning.

It looks as if, finally, we'll be able to put away the cold weather clothing? Or so I hope.

Got my home heating bill today and of course it's been increased- because the cold won't end
      Same thing happened last year.

The heat hasn't come on for the past few days so here's hoping to catch a break on that expense.

Glad you got to get out and enjoy a dine in cafe
it must have been lovely :)

  4. The CDC recently admitted that the "virus" DOES NOT spread easily on surfaces.
    Imagine that.
    Sorry for the Fox link.
