The Arab Mission Report the UN ignored & a Russian Veto

"Every member of the council has to make a decision: Whose side are you on? Are you on the side of the Syrian people? ... Or are you on the side of a brutal, dictatorial regime?" Hilary Clinton

Why did I open with this quote?
Because this is how your perception is managed. Everyday. By the people in charge, via the media. Her language sets the standard for the false dichotomy on Syria.

Is the West really “on side” with the Syrian people? Clearly and emphatically the answer is NO!
Is the West really against a brutal dictatorial regime? Again the answer is NO!

Ms Clinton’s words are chosen to present a simplistic black and white scenario that is easily digested by readers and viewers via the whoring media.

The troubles in Syria have never been about being on the “side of the people” or on the side of the “brutal dictator” Ms Clinton is very well aware of that since she is part and parcel of the destabilization campaign that has been waged by the West against Syria.
She is the promoter of ruin. The bringer of death and destruction. And she is not alone.
But, she doesn’t want you to realize that. To be aware. To discern.
So through language she creates an illusion..... An illusion that the masses must break free of.

The other day I wrote on the UN “debate” on Syria. The report from the Arab League was to have been presented to the council. This did not happen. I am going to link to the report for you to read yourself, once you begin to read it you will understand quite clearly why this report was not even mentioned. You can access the report here

13. Immediately on arriving in Homs, the Head of the Mission met with the Governor of the city, who explained that there had been an escalation in violence perpetrated by armed groups in the city. There had been instances of kidnapping and sabotage of Government and civilian facilities. Food was in short supply owing to the blockade imposed by armed groups, which were believed to include some 3000 individuals

14. The Mission visited the residential districts of Baba Amr, Karam Al-Zaytun, Al-Khalidiyya and Al-Ghuta without guards. It met with a number of opposition citizens who described the state of fear, blockade
and acts of violence to which they had been subjected by Government forces. At a time of intense exchanges of gunfire among the sides, the Mission witnessed the effects of the destruction wrought on outlying districts. The
Mission witnessed an intense exchange of gunfire between the Army and opposition in Baba Amr. It saw four military vehicles in surrounding areas, and therefore had to return to the Governorate headquarters. It was agreed with the Governor that five members of the Mission would remain in Homs until the following day to conduct field work and meet with the greatest possible number of citizens.

15. Immediately on returning from Homs, the Head of the Mission met with the Government and insisted that it withdraw military vehicles from the city, put an end to acts of violence, protect civilians, lift the blockade and provide food. He further called for the two sides to exchange the bodies of those killed.

16. At that meeting, the Syrian side agreed to withdraw all military presence from the city and residential areas except for three army vehicles that were not working and had been surrounded, and one that had been taken from the Army by armed groups. The Syrian side requested the Mission’s assistance to recover and remove those vehicles in exchange for the release of four individuals, the exchange of five bodies from each side, the entry of basic foods for families in the city, and the entry of sanitation vehicles to remove garbage. It
was agreed at the end of the meeting that the Mission would conduct another visit to Homs on the following day in the company of General Hassan Sharif, the security coordinator for the Government side.

So we have armed groups terrorizing the city of Homs.. Kidnappings and sabotage of government and civilian facilities. A food blockade imposed by armed groups. Armed groups waging gun battles with Syrian soldiers. We have the Syrian government agreeing to pull back military presence from the city EXCEPT for three army vehicles that were not working and one that had fallen into the hands of the armed fighters. We also have the Syrian government requesting the assistance of the mission to enable the entry of basic food for the families into the city.
This indicates, at least to me, that for all intents and purposes Homs is occupied by armed fighters, who are holed up in the outer areas of the city and are terrorizing the civilian population. The Syrian army was present and attempting to rid the city of these terrorists.

What it also indicates to the reader, importantly, is that the Syrian government was cooperative with the Arab mission and attempted to resolve these difficult situations.

A. Monitoring and observation of the cessation of all violence by all sides in cities and residential
areas

Violence by all sides- This definitely does not play into Hilary Clinton’s simplistic black and white wording now does it? Nor does it jibe with the media version the western audience has been spoon fed.

Do you recall the French cameraman who was killed. I covered that here. The mission confirmed that he was killed by opposition mortar.

Pg. 60 # 44: “It should be noted that Mission reports from Homs indicate that the French journalist was killed by opposition mortar shells”

That was completely obvious which is why the story disappeared quite quickly. Other then the very brief initial spin, the story fell off the media radar within pretty much a day. Two at the most. The most obvious reason for that? It would have drawn attention to the fact that the “peaceful protestors” are waging an armed terror campaign. Bought, paid for and supported fully by the West. Couldn’t have that awareness getting too wide spread. To known.

Interesting to read of the difficulties the mission had, I won’t list them all, only the ones that pertain what were supposed to be unbiased observers and media reports..

VII. Obstacles encountered by the Mission

50. Some observers reneged on their duties and broke the oath they had taken. They made contact with officials from their countries and gave them exaggerated accounts of events. Those officials consequently developed a bleak and unfounded picture of the situation. (Likely the Saudi observers)

E. The media

68. Since it began its work, the Mission has been the target of a vicious media campaign. Some media outlets have published unfounded statements, which they attributed to the Head of the Mission. They have alsogrossly exaggerated events, thereby distorting the truth.

69. Such contrived reports have helped to increase tensions among the Syrian people and undermined the observers’ work. Some media organizations were exploited in order to defame the Mission and its Head and cause the Mission to fail.

It looks as if the mission had what can only be called spies in amongst the ranks, making the job more difficult then it already was.

When one reads through the report it is clear that Syria did attempt to meet the demands of the Arab mission. Under rather tough circumstances. What is also very clear is that there is, and has been for some time now, a fully armed and entrenched group of western backed destabilizers and terrorizers in Syria. Which is why this report was not addressed at the UN.

Instead we have another resolution being tabled at the Security Council, with the Western nations the US, France and Britain looking for a way to start flying bombers over the beleaguered nation. Because their armed terrorist killers simply aren't getting the job done fast enough! Especially if Syria has to be taken down before an attack on Iran can be undertaken.
Once Syria falls, Iran is not far behind.

You may or may not be aware that wrangling regarding a new Syrian resolution at the UN is ongoing at this time.
The West is insisting Assad step down.
I find this demand so surreal.

How is it that the West can simply demand a leader of a sovereign nation step down?
As of today it seems Russia is going to veto this latest move by the West at the UN.
It appears China is on board with the veto.

“Russia signaled on Wednesday it would veto a draft UN resolution calling for a political transition in Damascus unless it explicitly ruled out military intervention.”

A day of diplomatic discussion on Syria at the UN Security Council ended without agreement as Russia and China remained opposed to move for a regime change in Damascus.
Moscow’s envoy to the European Union, Vladimir Chizhov, said on Wednesday there was no chance the text could be accepted unless it precisely rejected armed intervention.

The draft “is missing the most important thing: a clear clause ruling out the possibility that the resolution could be used to justify military intervention in Syrian affairs from outside. For this reason I see no chance this draft could be adopted,” Mr Chizhov said.

The West claims that specific language in the draft should indicate to Russia that military intervention is not going to be undertaken.
I will quote the so called specific language.....

“"Nothing in this resolution compels states to resort to the use of force or the threat of force," says the draft, obtained yesterday.”

Now I will laugh at the absurdity of this "language"Double speak!
If you or I can read simple words and understand the absurdity in this surely the Russian and Chinese delegates comprehend them also.

While according to the wording nothing in the resolution may compel states to resort to the use of force

There is nothing specific in the resolution that PREVENTS the use of force or the threat of force.

Russia and China both understand that simple fact. Both nations understand there has already been covert military intervention in Syria.
So what they are attempting to prevent is overt military intervention including a massive bombing campaign to support the NATO backed rebels, as was undertaken in Libya

Or as the last sentence from the FT acknowledges...

Some western officials believe that a Russian veto could shift the debate onto finding other ways to directly assist the Syrian opposition.

Since the West along with the Arab nations have already been indirectly assisting.....

Speaking of the Arab nations- Russia expressed some interesting thoughts on their active participation in the destruction of Syria

"The Arab League is now in the driver's seat; sometimes you can press the accelerator too hard and you find yourself in a ditch," Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, said yesterday. "The Security Council cannot prescribe ready recipes for the outcome of domestic political processes."

The vote at the UN will be taken this Friday. Will Russia and China change their minds in this short time? We will wait and see.

This is in my opinion a false claim.
What the exact purpose of making this claim is, I don't know?

Vaccine effectiveness reduced by common toxins in human body

I have covered the topic of vaccines many a time on the blog.
The fact that they are mostly ineffective, often contaminated or prone to going wild and spreading the disease they are supposed to prevent. And even causing cancer.
If you have missed any of those important posts the big pharma label at the bottom should take you back..

To bolster the case that vaccines are ineffective along comes this bit of news.
And what makes it worse, is the fact that human beings are so polluted, and these pollutions are what is alleged to cause the reduction in effectiveness. Which was already minimal anyway.
But "no need to panic". As if you would anyway?
Just keep taking those useless shots, making the pharmaceutical companies profits ever bigger.
And one more thing.....aren't all the additives in vaccines adding to the polluted and toxic chemicals in the human body? You know formaldahyde, mercury........

The researchers measured levels of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) - found in food packaging, stain-resistant carpets, and nonstick pans - in nearly 600 children who lived in the Faroe Islands in the Norwegian Sea and found that those who had the highest levels of PFCs had a 50 percent lower reaction to tetanus and diphtheria vaccines, according to the study published in last Tuesday’s Journal of the American Medical Association.

“Previous studies have suggested that vaccine effectiveness may be reduced by other chemicals, like PCBs, but with PFCs we saw a much steeper effect, and this was surprising to us,’’ said study author Dr. Philippe Grandjean, an environmental health physician at Harvard.
Levels of PFCs found in the Faroe children (who consume high levels of seafood associated with increased PFC exposure), he added, are similar to those found in American children, but it’s not known whether the same effect occurs with other vaccinations.
There’s certainly no reason for parents to panic over the finding, said Dr. Rick Malley, an infectious disease expert at Children’s Hospital Boston who wasn’t involved with the research. “I would say it’s an elegant study and it’s provocative, but it’s just showing an association, not a cause and effect.’’

Written by Bill Keller, who is allegedly the former editor of NYT's. Which I guess says it all ?
Given the NYT's propensity to shovel shit and call it news.
This editiorial was so callous in it's disregard for everything human, I was taken back.
The level of blood thirstiness in it? I don't know?
I have probably read stuff equally as appalling in the so called main stream media, but, this entire piece was oozing with venom. Callous.
No regard for human life.
Filled with out and out fabrications.
I could hardly believe this much shit could be crammed into one piece. Can you imagine the plunger needed for this... much excrement.

In fact in the last paragraph of this call to war, Bill Keller acknowledges the ever present IAEA inspectors.

Iran will probably try to score sympathy points by trotting out dead bodies and wailing widows, but the majority of the victims will be the military personnel, engineers, scientists and technicians working at the facilities. Fair game, in other words."

Well there would be dead bodies and "wailing widows" would there not? And children who lose their parents and parents who lose their children.
Fair game? Really?

"To be sure, America could just let the Israelis do the bombing. Their trigger fingers are itchier by the day. But they probably can't do the job thoroughly without the US, and America would get sucked into the aftermath anyway. You might as well do it right and get the credit. Really, sir, what could possibly go wrong?"

You had to know the Israeli card was going to be played. Do it for God, apple pie and Israel.
Why not let Israel just do the bombing themselves, with their ever itchier trigger fingers.
After all what weapons do they have that the US doesn't. What with their 200-400 nuclear weapons arsenal. American does not have to "get sucked in" If Israel want's to go for the jugular let them do that on their own. Wow, this guy is all for American's dying for Israel's gain.

Syria: Russia's red lines, France replays it's terror role and the Kurds

Here is some of the latest- Russia and the UN concerning Syria

Following a lengthy closed door meeting Friday afternoon on a draft resolution proposed by France, Britain and Morocco, the UN Ambassador from Russia made these statements-
He speaks of red lines and he speaks quite clearly about the situation in Syria as it relates to Russia's stand.

“The red lines included any indications of sanctions, the red lines included any sort of imposition of arms embargo - because we know how in real life arms embargo means you supply arms to illegal groups but you cannot supply weapons to the government - we cannot accept that"

Precisely as it happened in Libya.

There was an embargo and the NATO nations supplied the "rebels". Who murdered the leader and are in the process of raping and torturing their way through the nation. Oh yes attempting to hold the nation they never had a hold on. Not without NATO bomb/slaughter sorties.
Canada, speaks out of both sides of it's mouth

Canada delivered a harsh diplomatic rebuke to Libyan officials in both countries Friday after "credible" reports of torture linked to the country's interim government

Harsh my arse! Canada threw it's lot in with terrorist, radicals and killers. Knowing full well what the outcome would be.

Back to Syria, where we can see a very similar plot has been undertaken by the NATO nations and Israel.
In Libya the NATO backed rebels were able to take a small piece of Libya and control it with the help of NATO, various special forces, mercenaries etc.,
It would appear that the so called "Free Syrian Army" is attempting the same. By trying to control areas near the border with Turkey

Which is why we see the names Idlib and Aleppo in the next article I will link to.
You may recall the attack on Syrian forces at Jisr Al Shigour? West of the town of Idlib. This attack came with the help of Turkey. And sparked the appearance of "refugee camps" on the Turkish side of the border. Does anyone notice we never hear about the so called refugee crisis anymore? Wonder why that is?
What would seem most plausible is, there never was a refugee crisis.
As I had speculated repeatedly the camps were a cover for attacking muslim brotherhood, turkish troops, special forces, mercenaries... who ever could be bought and paid for by NATO and western taxpayer dollars!

Keep in mind this is the NYT's-

Turkey is deeply involved, while not having entire control. They have control of what emanates from their border.

In some places the militias are filled with local men, and in others, like Saqba, many of the defectors come from other parts of the country, welcome but somewhat mysterious guests.

NYT's plays fast and loose with facts. What they are really saying, without saying, is the "mysterious guests" can come from anywhere. Turkey, Libya , Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan...take your pick.

Some residents of Homs, including several Christians and Alawites, expressed fears that hard-line Sunnis known as Salafis were forming armed groups and stoking violence.

The government promised to strike “firmly” at the armed gunmen, like the army defectors in Saqba, who it says represent the true face of an opposition it has branded as terrorists. The message has found sympathetic ears, not only among Mr. Assad’s large base of supporters but also other Syrians who fear that a growing armed insurgency will destabilize the country.

That's right. Assad has a large base of support. A very large base of support. 55 percent of the populace. And they have a right to be concerned about their nation being destabilized, for that is the plan. It has been the plan all along. Since the created uprising began March 2011.

It is being reported that one of the "Top" opposition groups is helping the armed rebels
That is of course the Syrian National Council & Bassma Kodmani who is letting loose the propaganda in France

Educated in Britain and France, she is an Arab world expert who has worked in several Paris-based think tanks.

She and her group (NATO) are working to aid the Free Syrian army in their agenda of destroying and driving Syria into civil war as in Libya.

By assisting in arming the same radicals, terrorist, killers, rapists and torturers- Just like in Libya.

Kodmani said the council is working to identify and locate FSA rebels to see how they can connect and equip them with communications equipment and bulletproof vests.

Just communications equipment and bullet proof vests, eh?
Come on! Not credible..
If they are supplying /equipping the "rebels" with bulletproof vests OBVIOUSLY they are providing them with weapons to fight. Why else would bulletproof vests be needed?
So now we understand that the " Syrian National Council" is a mechanism of destruction, with a legitimate sounding title.

The aim is to get territory under their control. Have I mentioned that already?

The FSA has no command structure (nonsense) and holds no territory — unlike the Libyan rebels who used Benghazi as a base to topple Moammar Gadhafi with help from a NATO air campaign

What a claim, "no command structure"!

The FSA (Free Syrian Army) has a command structure via the nations of France and Turkey. Two prime examples discussed in this post. It is clear France is using the Syrian National Council to arm the destabilizers and that constitutes a command structure.
As of yet control of a chunk of Syria has alluded the Free Syrian Army, but there are working at it.

Now, one last piece of the Syrian puzzle. One I have mentioned in a number of previous posts.
The Kurds- They are important to this situation. So far though, they have been mostly absent in Syria. But, Turkey and Israel are hoping to change that.
Quite frankly I can't see that working out, but, you never know.

The stuff about the PKK and Syria. I don't see this as anything but spin.
The PKK is so thoroughly owned by Israel and the US it is non credible to entertain a Syrian PKK connection. So that bit of spin is probably easy enough to dismiss.
Turkey is playing an interesting game with the Kurds.

The game plan of Turkey appears to have focused on two tracks. Turkey has pushed the SNC to establish strong ties with restive Kurdish groups in Syria, offering them a clear vision for the post-Assad era to quell fears of Arab reprisal against Kurds.

Recall I mentioned the Syrian National Council, from France, earlier in this post?

At the same time, with the exception of the PKK and related groups, Ankara urged Kurds in Syria to openly denounce separatism and to support the territorial integrity of the country. Secondly, Turkish officials have held talks with both Iraqi Kurdish leaders Massoud Barzani and Jalal Talabani to sway Syrian Kurds to their side. Barzani has closely aligned with the Kurdish Democratic Front, the largest coalition of Kurdish parties in Syria, while Talabani has close contacts with the coalition called the Kurdish Democratic Alliance.

Syria has been mindful of the Kurdish population in the country. I have mentioned that previously and will broach the subject again shortly.

What is interesting here is to note the fine line Turkey is having to walk regarding the Kurds.
Turkey has issues with the Kurds within their own borders. If they accomadate the Kurds of Syria, will they embolden the Kurds in Turkey? Only time will tell. These moves Turkey is involved in to destroy Syria have the potential to come back and bite the Turkish government. Hard.

It is also known that the Syrian Kurdish political scene is notoriously fragmented, with the traditional Kurdish parties harboring misgivings toward the Arab opposition groups as well as toward Turkey. These various cleavages have afforded the Assad regime an opening it sought to exploit.

And Assad did exploit the opportunities presented. It only makes sense.

Early on in the uprising, Bashar al-Assad moved to neutralize the Kurdish areas. He issued a decree naturalizing the registered stateless Kurds (the so-called ajanib, or “foreigners”) and repealed Decree 49 of 2008, which regulated land use and ownership in the border regions.

These concessions were made “preventatively, in order to hinder or at least minimize Kurdish participation in the Syrian revolution.”

And these concessions have worked so far. Which is why we see Turkey and France meddling.
After all “There is a lot of distrust among Syrian Kurds towards the Kurdish parties.”

So someone is courting the Iraqi Kurds?
Would that someone be Israel? It has been previously reported that Israel's army is present and active in Kurdish Iraq.

Iraq’s Masoud Barzani has assumed a notable role.

Barzani, who had declined an invitation from Assad to visit Syria, hosted the president of the SNC Burhan Ghalyoun earlier this month. According to some reports, Ghalyoun sought Barzani’s mediation to get the KNC to join the SNC. Negotiations are apparently ongoing, and the KNC’s secretary general, Abdul Hakim Bashar, said on Monday that the Kurdish council was awaiting the SNC’s response to some amendments to their respective political programs, which could allow for the two groupings to join forces.

Iraqi Kurdistan is thus emerging as a critical player in the Syrian arena, and a convergence point for many of Assad’s opponents, from Turkey to Lebanon.

Ben S Bernanke laid the groundwork for a third round of large-scale asset purchases should unemployment remain higher than the Federal Reserve would like while inflation falls below a newly-established target.

The Federal Open Market Committee “recognizes the hardships imposed by high and persistent unemployment in an underperforming economy, and it is prepared to provide further monetary accommodation,” Bernanke said yesterday at a press conference in Washington.

Stocks and Treasuries rallied after policy makers said the benchmark interest rate would stay low until at least late 2014, pushing back a previous date of mid-2013. Fed officials also lowered their projections for economic expansion and inflation for this year and next.

“It was an unambiguous, aggressive statement,” said Julia Coronado, chief economist for North America at BNP Paribas in New York. “My expectation is that we are going to get quantitative easing three in April,” she said, referring to a third round of bond buying.

*What we have witnessed these past few months has been a speculative bubble in the commodities market. Specifically food and energy.

*Speculation has been driving the energy prices. Not instability. There is plenty of oil. Saudi Arabia has offered to ramp up production. Libyan oil is a mere fraction of the global oil inventory.

The government buried a worst-case scenario for the Fukushima nuclear crisis that was drafted last March and kept it under wraps until the end of last year, sources in the administration said Saturday

After the document was shown to a small, select group of senior government officials at the prime minister's office in late March, the administration of then Prime Minister Naoto Kan decided to quietly bury it, the sources said.

That means COVER UP!

"When the document was presented (in March), a discussion ensued about keeping its existence secret," a government source said .In order to deny its existence, the government treated it as a personal document of Japan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Shunsuke Kondo, who authored it, until the end of December, the sources said. It was only then that it was actually recognized as an official government document, they said."The content was so shocking that we decided to treat it as if it didn't exist,"(COVER UP) a senior government official said.

A private-sector panel investigating the disaster at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant intends to examine whether the government tried to manipulate information during its handling of the crisis.
( That must be why this news is coming out now, the private sector panel, no doubt full of nuclear industry types will validate or demonstrate or create the perception that the government did not manipulate information but acted in the best interests of the nation)
The panel plans to interview Kan and Goshi Hosono, minister in charge of the nuclear crisis and Kan's former adviser, among others.Kondo drew up the document at Kan's request and is dated March 25, 2011.

The document forecast that in a worst-case scenario the plant's crippled reactors would intermittently release massive quantities of radioactive materials for about a year

Tokyo Electric Power Co. on Monday reported an increase in radioactive materials leaking from damaged nuclear reactors at the Fukushima No. 1 power plant.

The total amount of radioactive cesium that leaked from the containment vessels of the No. 1 to No. 3 reactors reached 70 million becquerels per hour, up 12 million becquerels from the December level, the power firm said.

Worst case scenario, anyone?

The projection was based on a scenario in which a hydrogen explosion would tear through the No. 1 reactor's containment vessel, forcing all workers at the plant to evacuate because of the ensuing lethal radiation levels.
The document said that in such an event, residents within a radius of 170 km of the power station, and possibly even further away, would be forced to evacuate. Those living within a radius of between 170 km and 250 km of the plant, including Tokyo, could chose to evacuate voluntarily. The wrecked power station is about 220 km northeast of the capital.

Isn't it interesting that there was an explosion at Fukishima, if I recall correctly possibly two of them? No wait, I looked back at my old posts on this topic. There were three explosions at the Fukushima complex.Yet no expansion in evacuation to the 170 km to 250 km zone?

I have had these two news stories below bookmarked for quite a while now.
So long in fact it seems the first one is only available via cache.
For those who may not know, Mahdi is Canadian.
He was in Libya. He was only able to leave Libya with the help of others. Not Canada.

"I was threatened there through different channels," he said, though he would not elaborate.

He alleges there was an effort to not allow him to leave on board an evacuation ship, but he could not specify which groups might have been responsible.

Do I doubt his claims? No.

So how detached from reality is this headline? US: Assad losing control, his fall inevitable, White House says

Perhaps the Syrian leadership should make the claim that President Obama has already lost control of his nation and his fall is inevitable. At least that would be closer to the truth.

Let's read together the news of Assad's 55 percent approval rating. In a poll conducted and funded by the Qatar foundation.

Suppose a respectable opinion poll found that most Syrians are in favour of Bashar al-Assad remaining as president, would that not be major news?

Especially as the finding would go against the dominant narrative about the Syrian crisis, and the media considers the unexpected more newsworthy than the obvious.

Alas, not in every case. When coverage of an unfolding drama ceases to be fair and turns into a propaganda weapon, inconvenient facts get suppressed. So it is with the results of a recent YouGov Siraj poll on Syria commissioned by The Doha Debates, funded by the Qatar Foundation. Qatar’s royal family has taken one of the most hawkish lines against Assad – the emir has just called for Arab troops to intervene – so it was good that The Doha Debates published the poll on its website. The pity is that it was ignored by almost all media outlets in every western country whose government has called for Assad to go.

Some 55% of Syrians want Assad to stay, motivated by fear of civil war – a spectre that is not theoretical as it is for those who live outside Syria’s borders.

Biased media coverage also continues to distort the Arab League’s observer mission in Syria. When the league endorsed a no-fly zone in Libya last spring, there was high praise in the west for its action. Its decision to mediate in Syria was less welcome to western governments, and to high-profile Syrian opposition groups, who increasingly support a military rather than a political solution. So the league’s move was promptly called into doubt by western leaders, and most western media echoed the line. Attacks were launched on the credentials of the mission’s Sudanese chairman. Criticisms of the mission’s performance by one of its 165 members were headlined. Demands were made that the mission pull out in favour of UN intervention.

The critics presumably feared that the Arab observers would report that armed violence is no longer confined to the regime’s forces, (it never was confined to regime forces) and the image of peaceful protests brutally suppressed by army and police is false. Homs and a few other Syrian cities are becoming like Beirut in the 1980s or Sarajevo in the 1990s, with battles between militias raging across sectarian and ethnic fault lines. (foreign militias armed by NATO)

As for foreign military intervention, it has already started.(that has been obvious to this blogger since about June 2011) It is not following the Libyan pattern since Russia and China are furious at the west’s deception in the security council last year. They will not accept a new United Nations resolution that allows any use of force. The model is an older one, going back to the era of the cold war, before “humanitarian intervention” and the “responsibility to protect” were developed and often misused. Remember Ronald Reagan’s support for the Contras, whom he armed and trained to try to topple Nicaragua’s Sandinistas from bases in Honduras? For Honduras read Turkey, the safe haven where the so-called Free Syrian Army has set up. (death squads my friends, death squads)

Here too western media silence is dramatic. No reporters have followed up on a significant recent article by Philip Girald.

Giraldi states that Turkey, a Nato member, has become Washington’s proxy and that unmarked Nato warplanes have been arriving at Iskenderum, near the Syrian border, delivering Libyan volunteers and weapons seized from the late Muammar Gaddafi’s arsenal. “French and British special forces trainers are on the ground,” he writes, “assisting the Syrian rebels, while the CIA and US Spec Ops are providing communications equipment and intelligence to assist the rebel cause, enabling the fighters to avoid concentrations of Syrian soldiers …”

And yet 55 percent of the population of Syria supports Assad.
With huge demonstrations. Massive outpourings.
All the while the Western leadership and media continue on touting war in the name of humanitarianism.
Claiming an unpopular leader is on the verge of falling.
A leader who is more supported by his populace then the leader of the US is supported by his!
How insane is this supposed version of reality?

Thai 'terror' with a Libyan twist?

Boy, oh boy. The Thai 'terror' plot grows ever more curious.....
Why, we even have a connection to Libya appearing.

Libya! Of all places. You may recall Libya? It suffered horrific bombing and slaughter of innocents at the hand of NATO bombers and terrorist fighters brought in and trained by NATO or specific countries under the NATO umbrella. Israel played a unique role in the destruction of that nation too.

Is this the future for Thailand?

A quick overview-

Approximately mid December 2011 Israel warns Thailand (and the US) of a terror threat, linked to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Yes, boys and girls the entire Hezbollah narrative originated with Israel. Not a surprise, really.
Then on the 13th of January/2012, yes that is Friday the 13th, there is an arrest- Of a Swedish national, complete with Swedish passport, by all appearances a valid one.
No verifiable Hezbollah connection except for claims made by Israel.....

Yesterday I put up a news article, where it was reported that the fertilizer was miraculously found in a building rented by the police.
And claims that said chemicals had been put there some time ago.

Let's examine that claim further or more accurately let's read the police response to that claim

About the building housing the fertilizer..

Deputy national police chief Pansiri Prapawat, head of the investigators handling the case, yesterday rejected claims by Democrat spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut that police had set up the raid to clear themselves of suspicion in the cache.

Mr Chavanond said it was widely known among residents that it was actually police who rented the building.

The police are sticking to their claims but then this sentence?? What does this mean?

Checks had found a policeman also rented the building for workers to stay, but only for two months.

So a policeman had also rented the building for workers to stay? What workers?
Stay where? Stay in the building?
For two months only? Which two months?
Not mentioned at all.

What this check does is offer confirmation of police renting the building. Which corroborates the claim made by the Democrat spokesperson- The police rented the building and could have placed the fertilizer there. The police are connected to the building.

Now onto the Libyan connection- From "The Local" Sweden's News in English

A little background first-

Atris took Swedish citizenship after marrying a Swedish woman in 1996, Israeli news site Ynet reported.

According to his wife, Atris was in Thailand on business at the time of his arrest.

“He's travelled to Thailand several times previously and purchased goods which he then sold in Lebanon” Rania Koubaisi, Atris's wife, told the newspaper from her current home in Libya.

She denied suspicions that her husband was a terrorist.

“Why would he do something like this? I'm one hundred percent sure that this is a misunderstanding,” she told the newspaper.

His wife from her current home in Libya? A Swedish woman named Rania Koubaisi? Speaking from her current home in Libya? From Sweden to Libya? Why? When?

Thailand's Terror- This Fertilizer stink has been smelled before!

Still thinking about the "terror in Thailand" nonsense.

When I first put up the story Thailand police were saying no charges were laid because the individual who had been arrested had actually done anything.

Authorities said charges had not been pressed against Hussein because of lack of evidence that he had committed an offence.

Suddenly we have charges being pressed and this individual confessing to knowing the whereabouts of some fertilizer?

The fertilizer angle is really curious.... as in suspicious, as in "where have I heard this before"?

Democrat spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut said yesterday the police seizure of the bomb-making materials in Samut Sakhon was a police set-up.

Mr Chavanond said it was widely known among residents that it was actually police who rented the commercial building in the Mahachai area and the fertilisers and the ammonium nitrate had been kept there for "quite some time".

Digression alert!

How familiar is this scenario to those who follow the news of various alleged terrorist groups and their fertilizer/bomb fantasies?

Toronto 18- The RCMP delivered "fertilizer" to a warehouse that had been rented by two of their moles. The money for the rental had to have been provided for by either CSIS or the RCMP. The moles then took delivery of the "bomb making"material.
One got a nice chunk of change for his dealings- 4 million dollars.
But he was" not motivated by the money"- riiiiiiight......
This scenario has played itself out verbatim in many other places. Portland and the "Christmas tree" bomber is another recent intelligence delivered explosive set up.
There was one in Miami and many, many others....

Ok, now that we have gotten that out of the way.....

Fertilizers delivered to a building rented by the police in Thailand. Fertilizers that had been present in the building for " quite some time"

Then this Lebanese angle.
A claim with nothing really to back it up.
Here is what appears to be factual. This guy has documentation indicating he is Swedish.

In this article Swedish officials make some odd claims

Anders Jorle, a spokesman for the Swedish Foreign Ministry, said the Swedish passport had expired.

Then Mr Jorles says. "We cannot confirm whether he is a Swedish national."

Nor can they deny it!
And they don't.
Keep that in mind.

The picture of the passport indicates the passport has NOT expired.
It is good till Sept 2015.
And it is a Swedish passport.
So far there is nothing, absolutely nothing indicating this man is attached to Hezbollah. Other then claims via the msm.
There is however documentation linking him to Sweden. And Sweden is NOT denying he is a Swedish national, they are just not confirming it.

Interesting bits from this article-

The arrested man "is not one of Hezbollah's members", said Ghaleb Abu Zeinab, a Hezbollah political bureau member, according to the Lebanese Broadcasting Corp.

And of course the Israeli's as a target connection/possibility is reinforced.
I view this in a different light.
How perfect is the set up in Thailand for covert ops?

I just want to follow up on a couple of news stories-

Was there electricity in the building?
There is an electrical outlet shown in the video, not sure how or if it is relevant to the alleged dungeon room? Given the home had been lived in for many, many years prior to it's abandonment.
Also, noting there was video equipment and furniture found in the dungeon room itself.
It is unknown whether these items had been removed prior to the fire?

Second, a follow up to this post- US Troops & Radar deployed to Israel- Drills to follow

It was recently being reported that the US and Israel have decided to postpone these exercises.
Why?
It seems "budgetary constraints" is the reason given....
Myself, I am not buying that excuse. So why, really?
Or is this a ruse entirely?

Israel and the United States have agreed to postpone a major joint military drill scheduled for spring, Israeli public radio reported on Sunday, saying budgetary constraints were behind the delay.

The radio, citing military sources, reported that the exercises, codenamed "Austere Challenge 12," would be pushed back to the end of 2012.

Despite the postponement, there were no changes to a visit to Israel by top US military chief General Martin Dempsey, scheduled to arrive later this week for meetings with Defence Minister Ehud Barak and Chief of Staff Benny Gantz.

The postponed military exercises were to include thousands of American and Israeli soldiers in the largest missile defence manoeuvres ever held by the allies.

The postponement, attributed to budgetary constraints, also comes as media reports suggest disagreement between Israel and Washington over a possible military strike on Iran.

Israel and the United States have a longstanding strategic alliance and are jointly developing the Arrow anti-ballistic missile system.

Leading one to assume that this was an actual person from Lebanon that had been arrested.
This would have been a very incorrect assumption!
The individual arrested is a Swede.

A Swedish national of Lebanese origin? Really?

Then this....

Authorities said charges had not been pressed against Hussein because of lack of evidence that he had committed an offence.

We have read reports of other persons having the book thrown at them for possessing "terrorist" material.
Or persons arrested and charged for discussing potential "terror" scenarios.
Not ever going through with them, merely discussing them, usually with undercover officers- of the intelligence variety.
Or persons meeting with individuals who may or may not be involved in something.
Cases such as the Toronto 18 or Jihad Jane come to my mind.

But here we have a Swedish national, allegedly of Lebanese descent, thought to be linked to pro-Iranian Hezbollah militants.
Thought to be?
Had he travelled from Sweden to Thailand? Had he stopped along the way somewhere?
Or had he come from elsewhere?
I do wonder.

According to Joshua Schmidt, a lecturer at Ben Gurion University, for young Israelis just released from mandatory military service, "travel is a pressure valve for stressed youth", a journey of pure escapism. Israel, a country of only 5.2 million, may have the biggest per capita expat community in the world _ with 40,000 a year of those recently discharged coming here to taking advantage of Ha'Kesher Ha'Yisraeli, or the Israeli connection prevalent throughout Thailand's tourist destinations.

What function is visiting Thailand serving for the Israeli military? Oh and why do the Israelis even bother to go if they just drag the spectre of Israel with them? Or is that the intent? Not to visit, but, to invade?

The more I look into this one, the more my initial reaction of "false flag potential anyone" is appearing to be on the money as the saying goes.

I find it so improbable.

A Lebanese suspect from the Hezbollah group has been taken into custody by Thai officials and police are investigating further," Chalerm Yoobamrung told Reuters.
"Following concern raised by the Israeli embassy about a possible attack by a group of Lebanese terrorists in Bangkok, Thai police officials had been coordinating with Israeli officials since before the New Year."
In Jerusalem, Israel's Counterterrorism Unit issued a "severe travel warning" to nationals, advising against travel to Bankok "in the near future," and to "avoid congregating at known spots favored by Israelis, watch out for suspect items and not to accept packages from strangers in Bangkok."
Defence Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapha said Thai and U.S. intelligence officials were monitoring the movements of other individuals and were stepping up precautions in areas deemed to be at risk such as tourist sites and Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport.
A defence ministry source said Israeli intelligence had contacted Thai officials on December 22 with information that two or three suspects could be planning an attack in Thailand. However, the individuals travelled to the south and left the country.
The Israelis alerted Thai officials again on January 8 of the danger of an attack around January 13 to 15 in areas where there are often large concentrations of Western tourists, such as the Khao San Road, which is popular with young backpackers.
The arrest was made after the second Israeli warning, the source said, adding that Thai security officials were working
closely with the United States and Israel.
Defence Minister Yuthasak said the Israeli embassy and synagogues could also be targeted and that the attacks could come in the form of car bombs.
"Thai officials had not intended to release the news at this time since it could have an impact on tourism and cause panic among citizens," he said, noting that the U.S. embassy naturally was concerned about the safety of Americans.
Earlier, the U.S. embassy had warned of a possible attack by "foreign terrorists" and told its citizens to be careful in areas of the capital frequented by tourists.
"We're warning all U.S. citizens to take caution when visiting public areas where Western tourists are known to gather in Bangkok," said Walter Braunohler, a spokesman at the embassy, declining to give further details.
Bangkok, a magnet for tourists with its vibrant nightlife and a transit point for those heading for Thailand's beaches, has gone through periods of violent political turmoil in recent years but threats of foreign attacks are rare.
Hezbollah, a Shi'ite Islamist group in Lebanon backed by Syria and Iran, is on the official U.S. blacklist of foreign terrorist organizations.

Did you hear or read the news that a journalist was killed in Syria?
Have you noticed the vagueness with which this news is being covered?
Have you noticed that what is being implied via the main stream media is that somehow the Assad government or Assad personally was responsible for this death?
He isn't. Nor is the Syrian government as a whole. Nor is the Syrian Army.

The journalist (cameraman) was killed by the so called activists. The "Free Syrian Army". Muslim Brotherhood. Al Quaeda fighters brought in from Libya. Pick the perpetrator from the aforementioned groups.
Entertain the thought that it is possibly special ops from the US or the UK involved. Perhaps even Israeli military. Those are more realistic suspects.

The attack took place in Hom/Homs We are always informed that this province is a "restive" province.

So let's cut through the bullshit and spin and read what is really going on.
It will only take a bit of common sense thinking to figure out who attacked the foreign journalists killing the cameraman from France.

The Assad government arranges for a bunch of foreign journalists to go on a tour of varying areas of Syria.
Supporters of the Assad government come out enmasse to demonstrate for their own government.
This would be a blow to the propaganda campaign that has been so skillfully waged via the main stream media. And the social media outlets.
Pictures of the average Syrian supporting Assad, in the areas we have been repeatedly informed are "restive", getting out to the world.... unthinkable!

So which party stood to lose the battle for hearts and minds if a pro-Assad picture was painted for the world?
Who was going to be "the biggest loser" in the media campaign if pictures of the people supporting their own government were released to the world?
Come on this is easy!
The obvious answer is the destabilizers were set to lose. Their lies exposed.
Clearly this cannot be allowed to happen!
So you as a terrorist/destabilizer lob a bunch of grenades at the journalists, you know some of them are going to connect. And it really doesn't matter with which one. If you happen to kill some Syrians who were showing their support for Assad, all the better. Killing two birds with one stone as the saying goes. Now that's the way to do it!

Then you have the destabilizers get their video footage uploaded to YouTube right on time.
Is it from this incident? Or is it not?
It doesn't matter because the destabilizers know it will be picked up by the compliant media and reported. And many useless feeders will get over to YouTube to be shocked and appalled by the carnage of the attack. And that is what will stick in their feeble minds. The graphic imagery.

Video footage posted on Youtube appeared to show the aftermath of the attack, with people frantically loading the injured into cars. There were pools of blood on the ground. The authenticity of the footage, however, could not be independently verified.

Then the main stream media will start spinning this as the Assad government's fault.

Part 2: The dungeon house, the fire and the questions

Following up on yesterday's post, the bizarre dungeon house and the conveniently timed fire.....

Aangirfan had done a brief post on this story. In that post is contained this little tidbit.
Before I get to that, let me place the video here that is contained in the preceding post.

This video was shot by a photographer for the Toronto Star. Who was on the receiving end of a "welcome wagon" when he shot the video.

Contained within this article, is the response to the intrepid reporters investjgation

" the suspicious eye of a roving government-hired security guard, who, along with four police officers, rushed to the area to deal with a curious Star reporter Tuesday morning."
It was a given that after the containment room/dungeon was found in the abandoned home, security would or should have appeared. I would assume 24 hour, round the clock security, would have been undertaken at the house.
After all, one would think that there would be a great deal of interest in who had constructed the dungeon. Therefore surveillance would be undertaken to see who comes and goes from the house.
Where was the surveillance the night the house burned down to it's foundation?
Isn't it odd that no one saw anything, or reported that the house was burning until it was very nearly gone. Where was the private security? Where were the police?

A fire has destroyed an abandoned farmhouse in Pickering that was the subject of a police investigation after a “confinement room” was discovered inside in November.

The fire reportedly started around 12 a.m. Friday at the 136-year-old farmhouse on Concession Road 7 at the York-Durham Line.

Durham Regional Police made an appeal for tips last month after contractors discovered a recently-built “confinement room” in the basement of the empty house that was slated for demolition. The workers alerted police who opened an investigation.

The first officers to arrive at the scene after the bizarre discovery was made in late November believed the room was built for the sole purpose of keeping someone captive.

Is it interesting to note the gap in time from the date of discovery by the demolition person and notification of the police, to the date the police go public with the information.
Nearly a three week gap. Therefore the police had abundant time to investigate and gather evidence.....Or undertake other actions, as necessary.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for building a confinement-style room in an abandoned home in northwest Pickering.

On November 29, 2011, contractors surveying an abandoned residence on Concession Road 7 in northwest Pickering discovered recent construction had taken place in the basement of the residence. As the abandoned residence is slated for demolition, the contractor contacted Durham Regional Police.

Yes, a house with a dungeon, was discovered. It was found and lost in a fire in a two week time span.
This news story has been nagging away at me since it was first reported just before Christmas.
Who was aware that this house had been abandoned and would be for a long enough time to construct a dungeon? And use a dungeon?

Who was locked in this room? How many individuals were locked up here? Why?
How did they get there? Where did they go? Did they leave alive?
And finally, when the dungeon was discovered who burnt the house down?

Those aren't even all the questions I can think of. There are some really horrifying ones to put forth. Were the people tortured? Was it filmed? You know snuff films.

And on and on and on.

If you have been reading along with the David McGowan/Laurel Canyon series, you may recall dungeon rooms, sordid activities of all sorts and finally murders.
If you have read his book "Programmed to Kill"?
Or even took in the six chapters I have posted at the side. You may think of "The Finders"?
Of course there was "sleazefest in seattle" .
If you aren't familiar with these happenings and Dave's work ...you got a lot of catching up to do!
So let me begin at the end. This past week it was reported the abandoned farm house burned down.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that reduced a southern Ontario farmhouse containing what appeared to be a dungeon to rubble and ash.

The abandoned farmhouse on Concession Road in northwest Pickering burned to the ground after catching fire around 1 a.m. on Friday.

Upon reading this news, I thought "how convenient-cleansing with fire"
Of course the fire is suspicious. That is a given.
What the fire will conveniently do is make the whole sordid tale go away. The police and fire marshal will investigate what the cause of the fire was. It will be arson. And with that, the story will go no further.

One of the earliest news stories- A nightmare before Christmas

Like what? This is an area so remote, it is not likely that kids will party there or homeless persons will take shelter in it. So what kind of "stuff" goes on in the area?

When the house dungeon house was first discovered this is what the local police had to say about the discovery

"I can't get into what was in the room, but the way it was constructed - the time and effort put into it and the materials used - clearly indicated it was a room designed to hold somebody in," Durham Region-al Police Det. Darren Short said last month. "There was a locking mechanism nobody would be able to penetrate or breach."

One last thing- How was the dungeon room found? By contractors surveying the house for demolition

The building was part of a police investigation after a newly-constructed dungeon was discovered in December by contractors surveying the structure for demolition.

Now the house is gone. All that is left is the foundation.
The tale of terror comes to it's end. Cleansed by a fire.
Someone or several someones wanted this one to go away.
And, it seems they have succeeded in making at least one aspect of the horror go away.
While the building is gone. The mystery still surrounds it! Who, what, where, when and why, will leave some people wondering.... what the hell was actually going on there?

Another bomb targetting security and civilians in Damascus, Syria

Another day, another explosion in Damascus, Syria.
Civilians killed. Destabilization continues.

The explosion took place near Hassan al-Hakeem Basic Education School.
This terrorist bombing is the third to hit the capital Damascus after two terrorist attacks, less than a minute between them, targeted the State Security Directorate and another Security Branch in Damascus on December 23, 2011, marking an escalation in the terrorist attacks afflicting Syria at the hands of armed terrorist groups for more than nine months.
The two previous attacks, according to the investigations, were undertaking using booby-trapped cars, causing a death toll of 44 security and civilian and 166 wounded, the majority were civilians.

Was there a booby trapped bus this time?

Many dead mean, wearing white shirts and black pants.
Were these policemen or security officers, of some sort, who were riding the bus at the time of the explosion.

Was the explosion set off by remote control as the bus passed through a crowded neighbourhood to generate maximum casualties and destruction. Fear and Terror.

Angry residents were at the scene shouting and denouncing the bombing as the work of "terrorists".

Who would target a police bus? Filled with police.

The first attack in Damascus was on the political party headquarters of the Assad government
The second was on intelligence buildings, possibly involving Russian offices?
The third attack has a police bus blow up in a crowded neighbourhood, near a school.

The Arab League looks to be attempting some sort of move at the UN.
Which would of course really mean the Gulf Cooperation Council countries are seeking "help" from the UN.

"The Arab League made mistakes in its monitoring role in Syria and is seeking the United Nations' help for the mission, Qatar's prime minister said Thursday."

Of course, Qatar. Fresh from their starring role in the destruction of Libya

The Schrodinger being referenced is, as I found out, is Erwin Schrodinger who formulated a decades-old paradox which has been used to relate complex quantum mechanics to everyday objects.

Speaking for myself, of course myself being the only one I can speak for, I found the whole series extremely thought provoking. Like I said, a mix of quantum physics, brain research and perhaps a different take on spirituality.
Or maybe you will think it a bunch of "gobbledeegook"

Update on Syria- The destabilization continues

The West has got a problem with the created Syrian opposition.

It is being reported the so called opposition is in disarray. Which it likely is, since Syria is a nation of complexities.
With the "opposition" in disarray it is a bit difficult to have your ready made stooges, ready to go...... For an overthrow.

Syria's opposition was in disarray Wednesday, struggling to present a united front.

" A pact that two of Syria's main opposition factions -- the Syrian National Council (SNC) and National Coordination Body for Democratic Change in Syria (NCB) -- agreed last week now appears to be in tatters.

The political agreement signed on Friday in Cairo had outlined a "transitional period" should Assad's regime be toppled by a pro-democracy uprising that erupted in March.
However, in a Facebook posting, the Syrian National Council said late Tuesday the "document conflicts with the SNC's political programme and with the demands of the Syrian revolution."
Widely regarded as the most inclusive of Syria's opposition alliances, with representation from both the Muslim Brotherhood and parties drawn from the Christian and Kurdish minorities, the SNC has been at odds with some activists over the extent of foreign intervention required to bring change."

The Syrian National Council is of course made up of western stooges. They have been vocal in advocating for wholesale slaughter in Syria, as in Libya, because they don't live there and haven't for a long time. I have covered a number of these characters in a number of posts, so I won't rehash.

However take 12 minutes to watch the video from RT at the end of this post. The professor does mention them and their connections.

Also, there has been more sabotage undertaken by the destabilizers, cutting off electricity to the beleagured populace of Syria. This is the fourth in a series of attacks on gas pipelines in Syria. It will cut off 400 megawatt hours from the electricity network and would add one hour of power cuts daily. The destabilizing forces say they will step up attacks.

The Arab League monitors had not been working out as well as the West had hoped.

The US has heavily criticized their mission.

U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told a news briefing on Tuesday that "the Syrian regime has not lived up to the full spectrum of commitments that it made to the Arab League when it accepted its proposal some nine weeks ago... For example, the violence hasn't stopped. Far from it."

In an official statement, Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi said Wednesday that "the U.S. statement is a provocative stance that would hurt the performance of the Arab observers even before the issuance of their first report."

"The U.S. is not part of the deal between the AL and Syria, but rather a part in the process of raising and inciting violence," Makdissi said.

It seems the monitors haven't been finding all that much going on in the way of governmental oppression etc., Particularly on the topic of snipers.

To get around the little snag presented by the monitors not getting the required results. The West is looking to bring in the GCC- the Gulf Cooperation Council.
These are of course the most compliant of the Arab Nations. By compliant, I mean the most supportive of the western NATO agenda.

This of course means Saudi Arabia will play a leading role!

“The total number of observers to be sent by Saudi Arabia is not yet known,” said Osama Nugali, a spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He said that the Saudi government, however, was working closely with all parties in the Arab mission.

Saudi Arabia, well known for democracy and human rights....... with a wink and a nudge of course!

US Troops & Radar deployed to Israel- Drills to follow

First we will start at the Jerusalem Post

Israel is moving forward with plans to hold the largest-ever missile defense exercise in its history this spring amid Iranian efforts to obtain nuclear weapons.

Last week, Lt.-Gen. Frank Gorenc, commander of the US’s Third Air Force based in Germany, visited Israel to finalize plans for the upcoming drill, expected to see the deployment of several thousand American soldiers in Israel.

The drill, which is unprecedented in its size, will include the establishment of US command posts in Israel and IDF command posts at EUCOM headquarters in Germany – with the ultimate goal of establishing joint task forces in the event of a large-scale conflict in the Middle East.

The US will also bring its THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) and ship based Aegis ballistic missile defense systems to Israel to simulate the interception of missile salvos against Israel.

The American systems will work in conjunction with Israel’s missile defense systems – the Arrow, Patriot and Iron Dome.

Gorenc came to Israel for talks with Brig.-Gen. Doron Gavish, commander of the Air Force’s Air Defense Division.

U.S. European Command (EUCOM) has deployed to Israel a high-powered X-band radar and the supporting people and equipment needed for coordinated defense against Iranian missile attack, marking the first permanent U.S. military presence on Israeli soil.

More than a dozen aircraft, including C-5s and C-17s, helped with the Sept. 21 delivery of the AN/TPY-2 Transportable Radar Surveillance/Forward Based X-band Transportable (FBX-T), its ancillary components and some 120 EUCOM personnel to Israel's Nevatim Air Base southeast of Beersheba, said sources here and in Stuttgart, Germany.

EUCOM has repeatedly deployed troops and Patriot air defense batteries for joint exercises and Iraq-related wartime contingencies, but has never before permanently deployed troops on Israeli soil.
A EUCOM spokesman declined to comment. MDA officials referred to the U.S. State Department, which did not provide comment by press time.

Back to US troops and Radar in Israel-

The deployment is believed to be part of the Bush Administration's compensation to Israel for not backing an Israeli military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.
According to reports last week, Israel wanted to attack Iran as early as May of this year, but was denied the needed support from Washington. The Bush White House also reportedly turned down a later request for a flight corridor through Iraqi airspace.
The US did, however, approve the recent sale of 1,000 advanced bunker buster bombs to Israel, which will significantly improve the ability of the Israeli air force to carry out a successful raid on Iranian targets.

Humanity has for a long time now truly forgotten how to live.
Many people barely participate in their own lives.
They sit passively in front of their television sets, having their reality created for them.
They encourage their children, sometimes from infancy, to do the same.
These children then believe that life begins and ends in front of some "entertainment device"
They can't create because all is created for them.
They don't think, because thoughts pour into their heads via devices.
This type of life can't be construed as living.
It is spectating.
Humanity cannot continue existing. Cannot evolve. Cannot grow.
Through passive participation.
By being a spectator.

An outing for many a human family now consists of a trip to the shopping mall.
Or big box store.
They interact via "shopping"
Humans have been made into consumers.
You all didn't think you chose that path, did you?
Sadly, you may think to yourself " I chose to do that"
But, you didn't really.
A great many people cannot recall when, if ever they have "thought" for themselves.
Are your thoughts your own?
Or have you been influenced to think and act and behave in all the ways you do?
To fit in. To be cool. To get the "right" car.
The "right" house.
What are all those things really?
Do they matter?
Have you learned to live? To be human?
That entails a lot. Have you even stopped to think about it?
Or are you one of the people who are busy being entertained or infotained, but not really living.

So for 2012 and all years after that wouldn't it be great if humanity, as a whole, began to examine themselves?
To take a look at life and all it entails. It's joys and sorrows. It trials and tribulations.

And perhaps, then perhaps, not only will we all learn to truly live our gifted lives.

Syria: From Nail Bombs to Israel and all points in between!

Alert, Alert!!! Going to cover alot of ground here. Come prepared with necessary accoutrements!

I want to open this post with a news story of Syrian forces allegedly firing "nail bombs".
Of course, this cannot be independently verified. Of course.
This report comes from the Britain-based group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and is based on a lone claim from an unnamed activist

"An activist in the city told the Observatory that he was hurt by shrapnel from those bombs"

Unimpeachable, to be sure? Ah, not so much.
This appears to be a demonization story planted in the media for perception management purposes. We have heard stories along this line any number of times. Libya and Viagra being one really laughable example of war propaganda.

Which leads me to wonder if there was a nail bomb at all?
Or just who was using the nail bomb?

Was the person claiming to be wounded by the "nail bomb", the person attempting to use one?

This makes more sense to me, as I will explain.
The so called "nail bomb" seems to have a long history of use, but, not by governmental forces or armies. They would have no need to use a 'nail bomb'.
So who would use a nail bomb?
Let's see..... the patsy destabilizer type would find a real good use for them.

Nail bombs seem to have had their modern birth with one terrorist patsy in the UK.

More recently "nail bombs" made appearances at a subway bombing in Minsk.
At that time the President of Belarus suggested the nail bombs were the work of foreign agencies.

The "explosion was aimed at undermining "peace and stability" and hinted at possible foreign involvement"

Prior to that "nail bombs" also appeared at the airport bombing in Moscow

"the explosive device was packed with bolts, nuts, nails and ball bearings"

I covered the news of the airport bombing here. That one was a bit fishy too.

Reviewing the brief history of "nail bombs" they look to be a mode of destruction and terror used by destabilizers with intelligence backers. Good for causing fear amongst the domestic population.

An Army would have no use for this type of bomb. Therefore, as stated if there was a nail bomb being used, the person injured was most likely the one attempting to deploy it.

Onto another interesting story- Snipers rule the streets in Homs

From the msm outlet CNN. Being spun of course as Army Snipers. How does he know this to be fact? He tells a story of terror at the hands of the snipers. All very emotional.
But, gives nothing to back his claims up.
Given previous reports of snipers it seems plausible there are snipers, but what advantage would sniping citizens give to the government. None.
Randomly killing civilians serves the destabilizing forces. It will wear them down and cause them to join the destabilizing/terror forces rather then risk being killed.
The Assad government has nothing to gain undertaking these tactics which would only serve to turn more people against them.

Alleged "defected Syrian soldiers position their rifles as they take cover behind a the wall of a damaged house in the Baba Amr area, in Homs province, Syria."

Do you notice that they are higher up? Well above the city streets. Are these the snipers, reported on by CNN, who have made holes in the wall to shoot people in the streets? . Entirely Possible. Their not Syrian military.

It seems the Western corporate media is working fast and furious to create a perception of a brutal despotic regime, whose people are in need of humanitarian aid under the R2P doctrine, of course.
R2P is really imperialistic, tyrannical takeover through massive slaughter via aerial bombings, sugar coated for the western audiences so they can feel "smug and secure" while their tax dollars are used for the mass slaughter of innocent civilians.

Sugar coated indoctrination. Makes you feel good, if you don't bother about facts or reality.

It is also not a coincidence that the media is spinning fear and mayhem today because just yesterday the Arab monitors that had been going through Syria, reported all was not as bad as had been portrayed.
In fact one monitor reported that there was nothing "really frightening" going on.
Which of course raised the ire of the so called activists and the international community.

Earlier, Mohammad Mustafa al-Dabi, head of the observer mission, told the private Addounia TV that the situation in Homs is "placatory till now." His words aroused accusation and unsatisfaction among oppositon groups, which said "this is contrary to the fact," and cast doubts over the evenhandedness of the Arab mission.

Some opposition figures accused AL members of collaborating with the Syrian government

Contrast the international communities voice with this-

Hassan Abdul-Azim, chairman of the opposing Syrian National Coordination Body, said the Arab observers are coordinating efforts with the body and with other organizations, contrary to the allegations of some opposition parties

If anything it would seem the Arab Monitors have emboldened the destabilizers.

Calling to arms and gathering without fear, in light of the fact that "Syria has pulled some of its tanks from the city of Homs and released about 800 prisoners."

Meanwhile at the UN Security Council- France wants "serious and rapid work" done on Syria. Which means a no fly zone and "security corridors", as they have pushed for previously.

France believes that the UN Security Council must "seriously and rapidly get to work" on a resolution on the Syrian crisis and the international community must act in view of the situation.

Not to be left out of the melange- Qatar Creates Anti- Syrian Army in Turkey.
Of course in Turkey! Turkey has been destabilizing Syria for months and months now.

Damascus /NationalTurk – Qatar finances and arms radical intervention force based in Turkey to activate it in Syria with the purpose to defeat the government of president Bashar al-Assad.

And one more nation that has been heavily involved in the destabilizing of Syria
A nation that has much to gain from Syria's ruin. The Golan Heights.
A nation, whose media just happens to get an exclusive interview with persons who have allegedly fled Syria and want the "World to Bomb Syria"

In first interview with Israeli media, two" Syrian exiles" urge world to wake up.
Who of course do not give their real names. So they could be anyone, from anywhere.
Or they could be Israelis spinning a story?

Just another day in Israel. That "free" and "open society". The only "democracy" in the middle east? Being a typical western nation, a nation of consummate hypocrites the hue and outcry is only due to the fact the extremists attacked a young Israeli child.
Make no mistake the fanatics have attacked others before, verbally and physically.
But these attacks have been on the "gentiles" or the Palestinians
Recall innumerable attacks on mosques, olive groves, Palestinian Children...
Recall a settler hitting Palestinian children with vehicle, with malicious intent?

The Israeli car driven by David Be'eri, the leader of hardline Elad organization trying to ILLEGALLY settle Jews in Silwan, (steal land) charged a group of Palestinian kids, hitting one boy full on and throwing another off his feet. The driver was of course released on bail.
If anyone has any information on whether or not the charges were simply dropped I would like to know? The eight year old child hit by the settler died later of his injuries.

Then there was this attack: Some of you may recall the attack on a female reporter from Australia? Because she used a tape recorder!

In fact, I was later told, it was because using a tape-recorder is itself a desecration of the Shabbat even though I'm not Jewish and don't observe the Sabbath."

These attacks don't give the Israeli's or their government much of a pause for thought.
Finally however, the religious fanatics have taken it to far? Maybe?

Fury at ultra-Orthodox Jews after girl abused

These people spat on an 8 year old and called her a prostitute?
Really?

Humbly, my opinion is that none of this outcry over an attack on an Israeli child by Israeli's will change anything. Israel as a nation is far to filled with extremists and extremism. Not entirely. But largely. The extremism is created through the use of manipulation (propaganda) employed by the Israeli government and Israel's media. Of course religion plays a huge, huge role!
These religious extremists are needed and used by the Israeli government for exactly the actions they are undertaking. The need them to steal land from the Palestinians. The settlers were brought into Israel from other nations to do their duty. As their "God" has required of them.

The Nightmare is Now Israel's Too-

Extremist Israeli settlers have recently turned some of their manic wrath on their own government alongside the ever escalating violence against the Palestinians.
The two cannot be compared in terms of magnitude, but the fact that the nightmare Israel had intended solely for the purpose of running the Palestinians off their land has turned on them is an ironic twist nonetheless.
What sets these fresh attacks on Israeli targets apart from the traditional Palestinian assaults is that Palestinians expect this from settlers. Israelis do not. Palestinians are very aware that the settlers have been allowed to squat on Palestinian land with the official seal of approval from the Israeli government. While the most extreme settlers believe Palestine has been given to the Jews by God, Israeli politicians such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have far less “holy” intentions. For these guys it’s all about expansion, taking land and ridding the “land of Israel” of as many Palestinians as possible.
For years, the method worked like a charm. Israel brought in scores of immigrants who strongly believed that Palestine was theirs and planted them smack in the middle of Palestinian populations. Thousands of acres of land were stolen right under Palestinian owners’ noses for home constructions, settlement infrastructure and, more recently, the separation wall, which was designed in order to protect these illegal settlements. What was worse, the structures came with less than friendly neighbors too.
However, Israel’s government ploy, manifested in the settlers did not pan out exactly as its leaders envisioned. Extremism festered and the end result has been settler groups that will fight the Israeli army tooth and nail before an outpost is removed. Last week, the so-called Hilltop Youth raided the Jordan-Israel border in protest of what they thought was Jordan’s interference in matters concerning the “Temple Mount”, taking over churches there until the embarrassed Israeli military came and kicked them out. Earlier that day, settlers attacked an Israeli army base, pelting their own soldiers with rocks, in protest of a settlement outpost evacuation.
If anything good is to come out of this horrible violence, it would be that Israel and those who support it realize that nothing positive can ever come of illegal settlements on Palestinian land. We have been saying it for ages. The international community has adhered to this opinion as well along with international law that deems their presence illegal and illegitimate. But no one until now has been able to force Israel to reverse its policies. Ironically, if the settlers continue to attack their own people and become more of a burden than a fruitful political tactic, perhaps it will be Israel’s government to finally put its foot down.

Don't look for the Israeli government to "put it's foot down" with the settlers. They will tolerate attacks on 8 year olds. Attacks on the military. Whatever. All for the goal of Greater Israel.

Weapons-grade uranium is quietly being transported within Canada, and into the United States, in shipments the country's nuclear watchdog wants to keep cloaked in secrecy.
A confidential federal memo obtained through the Access to Information Act says at least one payload of spent, U.S.-origin highly enriched uranium fuel has already been moved stateside under a new Canada-U.S. deal

(at least one load of highly enriched uranium, could be more.)

The shipments stem from the highly publicized agreement signed last year by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama, amid fears that nuclear-bomb-making material could fall into the hands of terrorists.

The above italicized part is nonsense, it is spin to justify what is really going on here. Canada is supplying the means to make more bombs to the US. Plain and Simple. The natural question that follows is where will these bombs be placed? In Canada?

The Canadian stash gradually being shipped from Chalk River, Ont., contains hundreds of kilograms of highly enriched uranium -- large enough to make several Hiroshima-sized nuclear bombs.

But even as the radioactive freight travels toward the U.S. border, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has no plans to hold public hearings or disclose which communities lie along the delivery route.

Why is that you ask?

When asked why public hearings aren't necessary for the uranium deliveries, a commission spokeswoman replied by email: they (Public Hearings )

"are not carried out given the robustness of the packages used and due to the security issues related to the transfers of highly enriched uranium."

Recall above the spin about this material falling into the hands of "terrorists" Which is bullshit.
We then get a total contradiction on why there is no public hearings or disclosure- everything is so secure.
If everything is so secure, why transport this material to the US?
Clearly there is another agenda at play.
If everything is so secure, why do the lying lips use the "terror" angle?
Because it stops any questioning dead in it's tracks!

What makes these types of shipments particularly galling is Canada's horn blowing on non-proliferation

Car bombs in Syria- Intelligence targets linked to Russia?

I come here, as I have since March 24/ 2011, the time I first noticed the seeds of destabilization being planted in Syria. Brought to my attention through nothing more sinister then carefully reading world wide media reporting.
Really, paying attention to the hidden truth glossed over by the overt message, the perception management, if I may?

What made it possible for me to pick up on the beginning of a Western Backed "revolution" in Syria, was simply that I had long ago removed my rose coloured glasses. (idiom)

If you have been reading along then you too have removed your filters. This is good. This is necessary. Vital, really.
But, still not enough people are choosing the reality. The unvarnished truths.
As ugly as they may be, it is necessary to face them.
Keeping all that in mind, let's look at the news today on Syria.
I read with a heavy heart, this news of a "Double suicide car bombing in Damascus"
The main stream media is using the word "twin" I refuse to use that loaded word and all it's connotations and propaganda reinforcements. These are not twin anything.
This is just a western backed/ state sponsored attack of terror conducted with two vehicles.
It is highly doubtful these are "suicide attacks" either. I can't prove this, but, always find this claim totally unsubstantiated. These statements can't be qualified or proven. It is a statement made only to reinforce a specific propaganda message.

Let's get back to the city of Damascus, where we have seen millions come out and support Assad An area that has been largely free of western intervention and terrorism. Largely, but not completely. There was one previous attack, covered here.
The Free Syrian Army took responsibility for an attack and then denied it.

So called Syrian Army "defectors" had attacked the Baath party office. But, then they didn't.

"the FSA had said it fired rocket-propelled grenades at the headquarters of Syria's ruling Baath party."

This attack was way worse, many civilians dead. It would seem looking back at the previous attack, it may have been a practice run for something bigger?

So what was the target?

" coordinated bombings struck a security and intelligence complex"

2 rigged vehicles cause explosion in capital killing several civilians, soldiers, most casualties are civilians.

"Two booby-trapped cars blew up at security sites in Damascus on Friday, killing a number of civilians and soldiers" Lebanon warned al-Qaida had infiltrated from its territory

Security and Intelligence complexes. What does this mean exactly?
Assuming these are complexes vital to the defence of Syria, this may leave Syria more vulnerable to attack.

Who wants to attack Syria?

The US, Israel, France, Britain, Turkey. Collectively known as NATO. All have had a hand in this campaign of destruction since March of this year.

What does the timing of this attack say to us?

“President Sleiman conveyed to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad his condemnation of the terrorist attacks today,” read a statement released by Sleiman’s office.

“The timing of the attacks, which coincides with the arrival of the first monitors to Syria, aims to disrupt the Arab solution agreed upon by Syria and the Arab League.”

The timing of the attacks, to coincide with the arrival of Arab monitors, to disrupt the Arab solution.

Who did not want the Arab monitors? I covered that here.

The foreign opposition (western backed stooges, speaking out of both sides of their mouth) did not want the Arab monitors. They want boots on the ground. They want a military NATO bloodbath.

This includes but is not limited to the concocted Syrian National Council.Also, that British intelligence mouth piece group, you know the one based in London- Syrian Observatory of Human Rights and others.

US "requesting" to nix release of details of bird flu research

In today's news there is curious reporting regarding the US government "asking" medical journals not to publish the details surrounding the creation of a deadly strain of H5N1. You may recall I put this post up about a week or so ago...????

If you didn't read that when I put it up, you should read it before taking in the latest.

At the time the initial news coverage emerged, it was heavily reported this "creation" had come out of Dutch laboratories. Even though that was clearly NOT the case.

When one dug just a little further it became clear this was a joint effort between US & Dutch researchers. But who was in charge? Who was the initiator?

I would argue the initiator of the experimentation is the one trying to control the resulting data.

Fearing terrorist attack, US asks journals to censor flu experiments.

Not the government of the Netherlands. The US government is requesting the censorship.

A government advisory panel, the National Science Advisory Board for Bio security, overseen by the National Institutes of Health, has asked two journals, Science and Nature, to keep certain details out of reports that they intend to publish on the research. The panel said conclusions should be published, but not "experimental details and mutation data that would enable replication of the experiments.The journals, the panel, researchers and government officials have been grappling with the findings for several months.
The Dutch researchers presented their work at a virology conference in September.

Interesting- this lab created virus was not reported on until early December 2011, though it was actually created months prior to the date mentioned in my previous post of September 2011

"This finding shows it's much easier to evolve this virus to an extremely dangerous state where it can be transmitted in aerosols than anybody had recognized, he said. Transmission by aerosols means the virus can be spread through the air via coughing or sneezing.

Transmission by aerosols can also mean aerial spraying. Or dispersal by other means.

Think back to the anthrax MAIL attacks immediately following the 9/11 attacks. The Anthrax had been aerosolized to make it more effective and deadly.

Or one can recall numerous news reports and books containing information of covert weapons testing on unsuspecting populations in major city centres-

Both studies of the virus - one at the Erasmus Medical Center in the Netherlands, and the other at the University of Wisconsin-Madison were paid for by the National Institutes of Health.

Also known as The US Department of Health and Human Services

The idea behind the research was to try to find out what genetic changes might make the virus easier to transmit.

What genetic changes might make the virus easier to transmit????

The premise of this article is that the 'how to' of this mutation or the means with which this was accomplished should not be published, lest it fall into the hands of "terrorists"

What the article does not mention, but should, is that without the knowledge of the genetic changes made to this virus, there would be no widely known way to stop the spread of the lab created genetically mutated virus.

THEREFORE: The only real conclusion that one can draw from all of this news, previous post, present post and historical realities is that this was created as a potential BIO-WEAPON.

May I remind you that this creation funded by the US would almost certainly be in contravention of the CONVENTION ON THE PROHIBITION OF THE DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION AND STOCKPILING OF BACTERIOLOGICAL (BIOLOGICAL) AND TOXIN WEAPONS AND ON THEIR DESTRUCTION

Spin as they like, the facts stand for themselves. The facts show that the US bought and paid for the creation of a genetically altered virus, with bio-weapons potential. By blocking the science behind it, the virus can then be used to target specific countries and it's people via terrorism.

I find this NYT's article interesting. "Syrians find creativity in uprising"

I find the hand of PR firms in these forms of protests that are made for television. Made for the video generation. And wonder at just who paid for these acts to be done?
In one instance where we have a catchy beat and street dancing taking place?!?

A young actor who "cut loose"? Must have thought it was an audition for American Idol?

Another time, protesters painted scores of Ping-Pong balls with words like “Leave” and “Freedom” in red and blue ink, and then released them on a hill above Mr. Assad’s house. A video shows them clattering down the cobblestones"

How very eye-catching? Made specifically for video and social media sharing.
Sorry, but this kind of stuff reeks of public relations firms created stunts.
It is done to attract the attention of the infantile mind weaned on a steady stream of junk video.

That bit of mind control/perception management out of the way, let's get down to the real nitty gritty!

Syria is allowing Arab League monitors into the country.

The observers have been given a one month mandate that can be extended on a month by month basis.

It is being reported that Syria has passed a law sentencing to stop the flow of weapons to the destabilizers.

"Syria’s President Bashar Assad has signed a law imposing a death penalty on anyone providing weapons or helping to provide weapons to terrorists, the AFP news agency says.
The decree also imposes life imprisonment with hard labor for arms smuggling "for profit or to carry out acts of terrorism," and 15 years' hard labor for arms smuggling for other purposes."

If true , it is more a public relations move then a viable reality. Since most of the weapons are coming into the country, across the border from Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon. This type of law would have limited use

A Russian Resolution at the UN; Condemnation from the West.

The way the western main stream media represents the news.
I shake my head. Your perception carefully managed, everyday, your entire life.
Think about it!

The western media is reporting that Russia is abandoning Syria with a tough new UN proposal.
Is mother Russia leaving Syria to fend for herself?
When one reads through the news. Actually reads through it....

I can't see how this bit of news is being promoted as abandonment, when it supports the Syrian position that they have a problem of armed destabilization. By condemning the armed destabilizers.

Clearly Hilary Clinton understand that- As earlier news reports, or at least the one from Bloomberg quotes the evil one:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Washington that the U.S. doesn’t support the resolution because it presents “a seeming parity” between the Syrian government, which has used deadly force against opponents, and “the peaceful protesters and other Syrians who are trying to defend themselves.”
The text, which doesn’t call for sanctions in step with the Arab League, isn’t balanced and the language reflects equivalence of violence by the government and by protesters, French Ambassador Gerard Araud told reporters at the UN.

The draft “demands that all parties in Syria immediately stop any violence irrespective of where it comes from.”

The language reflects and equivalence of violence because that is what has always been going on in Syria, armed destabilization: government response

This report out of Kuwait mentions that the Russia draft puts forth the idea that no one should be exempt from punishment for crimes committed in Syria-

No one should be pardoned for "criminal" acts in Syria -- Russia

Russia confirmed on Friday a Russian-Chinese draft resolution had been put on the table for debate among member states of the United Nations Security Council, stressing "criminal" acts in this country must be punishable.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Alexander Lukashevich described the draft resolution, in a statement, as objective and balanced, urging both the Syrian authorities and the opposition to stop the violence and hold dialogue on the basis of the Arab League initiative.
" The draft resolution condemns practices of the extremists who have been roaming the Syrian regions, he said, stressing no one in Syria should be exempted from punishment for "criminal and provocative practices."

The spokesman called for speedy dispatch of Arab observers to Syria to assess the conditions and tackle unresolved issues concerning the Arab League and Damascus.
He added that the draft resolution must not be understood as implying a call for outside intervention in the country, warning that such a development would deepen instability across the whole Middle East.

Moreover, he renewed support for the Arab League initiative on Syria, but stopped short of addressing direct warnings to the Syrian leadership. He also indicated that the current visit by the Syrian Vice President, Farouk Al-Sharaa, was part of consultations, conducted by Moscow with both the Damascus government and the opposition.

It is also highly unlikely that this is a surprise. As the media portrayal would have you believe.
Nothing done at the UN is ever a surprise.

The resolution "strongly condemns" violence "coming from all parties.
The draft does not include any sanctions or an arms embargo.

Germany's U.N. ambassador, Peter Wittig, said the Russian draft resolution is "insufficient" but could be improved.

Despite the media spin, the west is not appeased. The move is "insufficient"

From the BBC article:

The draft condemns the violence by both Syria's government and the opposition, but does not mention sanctions.

Western nations said the proposal was not tough enough but that they were prepared to work on the document.

Whatever "prepared to work on it" is supposed to mean?

The fact is Russia put forth condemnation of all parties, with no mention of sanctions or an arms embargo.

Pure politics.

It is being reported that Syrian and Russian officials are holding talks today.

The Syrian vice president arrived in Moscow Friday to talk with Russia's foreign minister about the unrest that has roiled Syria for months, a Russian state news agency reported.
Vice President Farouk al-Sharaa plans to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov "to discuss ways for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in his country," the Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Obviously there is ongoing cooperation between the two nations. Will we be seeing Russian peacekeepers in Syria? Or something along that line?

The loud mouth John Baird again told Canadians to get out of Syria.

But, not immediately.

"Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said Ottawa has “directed officials to undertake a voluntary evacuation over the next month”

Should this be taken to mean that in a months time things will really heat up?

Another Mosque set ablaze by the Jewish "Extremists"

A follow up to yesterday's post!
You may wonder why I quote-end quote the word "extremist" regarding the followers of Judaism that perpetuate these kinds of attacks?
So I will explain, the attacks are not rare, they are the norm.
Therefore it is hard to think of this as the work of a few bad apples, when by all appearances these type of activities go on day in, day out. For sixty years now.

Mosques burned, homes demolished, olive groves burnt, children killed.
Old ladies shot. Schools damaged. Excrement smeared walls. Cheese factories bombed.
Jews only roads. Collective punishment.

Rather then the work of a few "extremists" what many, but not all Israelis do presently and have done to the Palestinians previously seems the norm, rather then the exception.
Therefore I find this news presented as the work of a few "bad apples" Not realistic.

Another Palestinian mosque torched in West Bank

Vandals set fire to another mosque in the West Bank on Thursday and defaced it with Hebrew graffiti. The Hebrew words for "war" and "Mitzpe Yitzhar" were painted in red on a wall

Jews attack Mosque

Jewish extremists on Wednesday tried to torch an old mosque in Jerusalem, as Israel reopened a ramp leading to the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, whose closure sparked Muslim anger.
The overnight attack on the disused mosque (incorrect) in downtown west Jerusalem saw unknown attackers try and set the building alight and daub its exterior walls with racist anti-Arab slogans written in Hebrew.
It was the latest in a slew of so-called "price tag" incidents - revenge attacks by Jewish extremists which generally target Palestinians and Arabs.

The attack targeted the Nebi Akasha mosque, which dates back to the 13th century and had not been used as a place of worship since Israel’s creation in 1948. The city council currently uses the building as a storage facility.

In other words the ancient mosque, which belongs to the Palestinian people, is not used because Israel has disallowed or barred it's use by the Palestinians and commandeered it for their own purpose.

In what can can only be seen as an attempt to wipe the history of Palestinian people off the map. Looks that way.

Reading further through this article it is obvious I am not the only one that get's what is going on.

"The destruction of the antiquities, in this case probably by Israelis, is part of the process of erasure of ‘the other’ - of everything that doesn’t suit the extremist and one-dimensional ideology of certain Israeli groups,"

Of course, it isn't just this mosque. There is an ongoing problem with attacks by Israeli Jews on Palestinians

Coincidence or something else?
You might have caught this news from the last week or so?
The news about the man made pandemic flu virus. Very deadly. Completely lab created.
Done in September of this year. That is September 2011.
Three months ago.

Two teams of scientists have independently constructed a deadly strain of flu.

Before we get into reading this article, let's ask a couple of questions.

What was the agenda behind this research?
Who paid for this research to be done?
Let's not kid ourselves, scientists do this kind of work because someone is paying them to do it! Who? Why?
And one more question, were the two teams of scientists really working "independently"?
If so, that is quite a coincidence.
Regular readers here may recall me saying, a number of times, I am not a coincidence theorist.
Did the two teams have a common financier? Were they working competitively against one another? Or were they working together from labs that have differing capabilities?
I wish to point out that most of the news coverage has made mention of only the Dutch team.

"A research team led by Ron Fouchier at Rotterdam's Erasmus Medical Centre said in September it had created a mutant version of the H5N1 bird flu virus that could for the first time be spread among mammals."

The lack of coverage of American involvement is curious.
Makes me wonder if this was indeed a collaborative effort, led by the research at Rotterdam's Medical Centre.

Back to the article from Scientific American-

Epidemiologists have long debated the pandemic potential of H5N1, a.k.a. avian bird flu. On one hand, the virus spreads too inefficiently between humans to seem like much of a threat: it has caused less than 600 known cases of human flu since first emerging in 1997. On the other hand, when it does spread, it can be pretty deadly: nearly 60 percent of infected humans died from the virus. For years now, the research has suggested that any mutations that enhanced the virus’s ability to spread among humans, would simultaneously make it less deadly. But in a recent batch of as-yet-unpublished studies, two scientists - Yoshihiro Kawaoka from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Ron Fouchier of Erasmus Medical Center, in the Netherlands – have shown otherwise

"For years now, the research has suggested that any mutations that enhanced the virus’s ability to spread among humans, would simultaneously make it less deadly."

And that is what makes sense. Virus's have a goal to live. Call it a hard wiring, whatever. Virus's do what they do. They wish to thrive, survive and get around. Virus's can't do that if all their hosts die. Therefore the virus's ability to survive and thrive would be contingent on it's host survival.

The fact that these mutations could be created in laboratory conditions does not imply that this would ever occur naturally. These mutations were created under very specific conditions.

Fouchier initially tried to make the virus more transmissible by making specific changes to its genome, using a process called reverse genetics; when that failed, he passed the virus from one ferret to another multiple times, a low-tech and timehonored method of making a pathogen adapt to a new host.

After 10 generations, the virus had become “airborne”:

After ten generations.
At which time, in real life and quite naturally, humans would have already built up natural immunities.And the virus may have mutated in another direction completely.

So, what is this really about? One if left wondering.
Of course bio-warfare comes to mind.
Or simply corporate malfeasance? Anything to make a buck.
Or both? Perhaps population reduction? Maybe all of it!

As part of the testing, last week the plant produced two lots of "prepandemic" H5N1 flu vaccine for the Strategic National Stockpile, and another lot will be completed this week, for a total of 6.5 million doses, said Liz Power, a spokeswoman for Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Cambridge, Mass.

Does that make anyone else go Hmmmm?

Scientist create a deadly version of the H5N1 flu virus, September 2011 and Novartis is producing a pre-pandemic H5N1 vaccine in December.

Oh, well I guess that is just another coincidence..........

Syria- The beat goes on: Part 3

We are going to take a look at the Syrian situation from a number of different angles today.

Let me first open with a report from DEBKA- I am aware this is a source that is replete with spin, and disinfo. Just like the main stream media.

That said, this bit of news is quite plausible- The US is shifting troops from Iraq to the Jordanian border with Syria.

The spin from DEBKA ,which is ridiculous, is this is being done in preparation of Syria's attacking Jordan.
Syria will not attack Jordan.

The scenario that will play out will be that Syria will defend itself from an attack launched via Jordan. Not the other way around.
Jordan and the NATO war criminal crowd will spin this the way DEBKA is spinning, but, that won't be the reality. It will be newspeak. Or doubletalk.

Keeping in mind that Jordan has been covertly attacking Syria for some months now. Since March of this year, Jordan has supplied destabilizers, both persons and weapons.

In July 2011 it was reported US Special Ops were in Jordan ostensibly participating in a "warrior" competition.

For the first time in its history two joint teams, consisting of soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and Jordanian Special Operations Forces, competed in the 3rd Annual Best Warrior Competition at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Center, Hashemite Kingdom in Jordan, May 8-12.

This first time ever competition to place May 8-12/2011. Just two months after destabilization via Jordan began in March.
When did US Special Forces arrive there? Were they there prior to this date? Did they leave after this competition? Inquiring minds want to know?

This past paragraph makes me think there is much more to this special op warrior competition then meets the eye.

USSF Soldiers were in Jordan as part of a Joint Combined Exchange Training exercise, or JCET, with Jordanian forces. These types of exercises are designed to provide training opportunities for American Special Forces in countries that the forces may one day have to operate in, as well as providing training opportunities for the armed forces of the host country.

Clearly there have been US Special forces on the ground in Jordan, for many months now.
How many of these US Special forces, along with Jordanian Forces have been infiltrating the Syrian border, killing civilians and Syrian soldiers for how long now???

All question that beg for answers.

Back to the DEBKA story- The gist of the story being that the US is shifting troops out of Iraq and into Jordan is quite possible. Likely being done to bolster the contingency of special ops already in place and laying the groundwork for further assaults on Syria.

You can check back to previous posts where I have mentioned that as a distinct and real possibility.

Let's skip round to Turkey. And their Alawite population.

In Antakya, a cosmopolitan Turkish city on the border with Syria, the Alawite minority has taken sides against Ankara in staunch defense of Bashar al-Assad – dreading their fate if he is toppled.

“Everything is calm in the (Syrian) cities. There is nothing in (the northwestern town of) Latakia; the people who come here say that they are living normally,” claimed Suheyla Kocak, an actress in the Antakya municipal theatre which has staged numerous plays in Syria.

“Where are the incidents happening? In remote areas, where people are ignorant and where they can easily lose their heads. It is in these types of places where they are fighting and killing each other.”(correct)

“Millions of people are on the street to support (Assad’s) reforms,” added Ali Yeral. (correct)

“If Assad is overthrown, it is clear that there will be a massacre of Alawites,” said Yeral. (correct)

There will be a massacre of Alawites and other religious minorites, such as Christians, who have also expressed great fear at what is going on in Syria. Not fear of Assad. Fear of the Islamists that the West is arming. This slaughter via civil war is exactly what NATO is working for.

“The Muslim Brotherhood are the ones who are creating all of these incidents,” he claimed.

Not alone, they have had help.

One more stop back in Turkey- Scenarios for Turkey's involvement

The first scenario-

Unilateral military intervention is unlikely. A core dimension of Turkey’s policy towards Syria is the formation of an anti-Assad chorus. The implication is that Turkey is trying to avoid taking unilateral action against Syria, preferring instead to coordinate with the Arab League, NATO, and other concerned actors.

Let's look at the second scenario-

Turkey could intervene to set up a secure buffer zone inside Syria, or participate in the implementation of “humanitarian corridors,” to help civilians affected by the unrest in Syria. If such a zone is created, the Turkish military would guard it. While the border between Turkey’s Hatay province and Syria offers a probable site for this initiative the area, is, in fact, highly sensitive because the border is patrolled by the Syrian military. While the proposal falls short of military intervention, humanitarian convoys might need armed protection supported, ideally, by a UN resolution, should Damascus refuse to accept such a proposal.

Turning these plans into actions is tightly linked to certain developments in Syria, one of which is inter-sectarian violence. (fomenting civil war)

The third scenario for Turkey's involvement revolves around sanctions-

The latest sanctions recommended by the Arab League could possibly pave the way for the emergence of a resolution to the humanitarian issue in Syria. Advocates of the decision say these sanctions are specifically targeted at the regime.(Bullshit, sanctions are always done to target the populace) They hope the population will be able to cope. However, the economic package of sanctions will certainly affect Syria’s citizens and could develop into a humanitarian problem that will force a call for international intervention. In this regard, countries like Russia and China that currently threaten to veto resolutions against the Syrian regime may come under pressure to comply with international obligations. Should that happen other foreign powers will have the authority to implement “humanitarian corridors,” or create buffer zones.

The Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee has confirmed Michael McFaul as the US Ambassador to Russia.

Reports that McFaul would succeed John Beyrle as Russia ambassador were published in May.

President Obama made an official statement to this effect in September.

Prior to his appointment, McFaul worked for the US National Security Council as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director of Russian and Eurasian Affairs.

When I say the "beat goes on" I mean the continuing saga.
I have been following along with some of the news surrounding that nation's destabilization by the usual suspects.

So let's go!

Hillary Clinton met with the so called "Syrian Opposition" in Switzerland.
This was reported on December 5/2011

Mrs Clinton is expected to speak with seven opposition members in Geneva, where she is to give a speech on human rights. It will be her second meeting with opposition members in six months, following a similar gathering in Washington in July.

Isn't that interesting? Her second meeting with them....first one taking place in July?
Was she creating the opposition team at the time. Picking and choosing the "leadership"?

She will then attend a NATO foreign ministers meeting in Brussels and give a speech on Internet freedom in The Hague before flying back the America on Thursday.

She is so swell. What a humanitarian!

Syria accepted the Arab League observers, requesting changes to the wording of the agreement.
And no sanctions.

The Arab League, after being directed by their masters rejected Syria's offer.

The Arab League said it won’t lift sanctions imposed on Syria, after President Bashar al-Assad’s government demanded the removal of the sanctions as a condition for admitting observers.

My take on this Arab League tit for tat?
The Arab League is obviously getting their orders from on high - see Hilary above.
It is all a political game.
Arab League says this. Syria accepts the offer with conditions.
Conditions that will not be met.
The Arab is not really attempting to help resolve the situation in Syria and I would think that Syria is aware of the insincerity of the offer, but is attempting to buy some time.

US Ambassador Rob Ford is going back to Damascus

The US ambassador to Syria, who was removed from the country after threats to his safety, is due to return, US state department officials have said.
Robert Ford left the Syrian capital, Damascus, in late October.

He had angered Syrian authorities by showing solidarity with activists involved in an uprising against President Bashar al-Assad's rule.
Meanwhile, France's ambassador returned to Damascus on Monday having been recalled last month.

So first it was too dangerous for Robert Ford, but now it is not?
France's Ambassador is set to return also. In fact he there all ready. Rob Ford may be there at this time too.

We are supposed to believe that it was too dangerous for these men in Syria a month or so ago.
So they had to leave, for safety reasons.
But, now when we are supposed to believe that Syria is on the verge of civil war both Ambassadors are going back to Syria?
Is there a disconnect in the logic in this scenario?

It would appear that there is more destabilization work to be done. More death squads to arm.

Fukushima: Water Leaks, Nitrogen Injections & a cold shutdown?

Massive Water leaks from the still crippled Japanese Nuclear Plants-

— Japan's crippled nuclear power plant leaked about 45 tons of highly radioactive water from a purification device over the weekend, its operator said, and some may have drained into the ocean.

Ok, leaked about 45 tons? I guess this means that it is not known how many tons of water have leaked into the ocean. Given the propensity to downplay the Fukushima disaster, it could have been more water. I like the "may have drained" into the ocean.
Where the hell else would it go?
If we read on, it is clear it went straight into the ocean via a gutter-

A pool of radioactive water was discovered midday Sunday around a decontamination device, TEPCO said in a statement on its website. After the equipment was turned off, the leak appeared to stop. Later, workers found a crack in a concrete barrier leaking the contaminated water into a gutter that leads to the ocean.

Does that sound intentional to you?

Clearly the gutter was built to direct water to the ocean.
Either before the Fukushima disaster or right after it? If not, why was the gutter there?

The pooled water around the purification device was measured Sunday at 16,000 bequerels per liter of cesium-134, and 29,000 bequerels per liter of cesium-137, TEPCO said. That's 270 times and 322 times higher, respectively, than government safety limits, according to the Citizens' Nuclear Information Center in Tokyo.

Cesium-137 is dangerous because it can last for decades in the environment, releasing cancer-causing radiation.
The half-life of cesium-134 is about two years, while the half-life of cesium-137 is about 30 years.

This recount from one of the Fukushima 50 makes it clear, in my opinion anyway, that all was not well at Fukushima immediately after the earthquake/tsunami.

He realized that the tsunami had caused a disaster when the lights on the plant's control panels flickered, and then went out. "I came to realize that a tsunami had hit the site when one of the workers came rushing into the control room, shouting 'Sea water is gushing in!'" he said. "I felt at a complete loss after the power went down."

"We put on full protective gear, but we couldn't possibly let younger workers do that job as we were entering an area with high levels of radiation," he said.

"When I got there, I heard a strange, loud popping sound from below, and when I tried to start work, my black rubber boots melted [due to the heat]."

I found this interesting, a report from December 4/2011

In late October, Tokyo Electric Power Company began extracting gases from the containment vessel of the No.2 reactor to remove radioactive substances. During the work, TEPCO found hydrogen accumulating in parts of the reactor at a density of up to 2.9 percent.

TEPCO started pumping nitrogen into the pressure vessels of the No.1, 2, 3 reactors on Thursday to lessen the concentration of hydrogen.

The density of hydrogen accumulating in the containment and pressure vessels is thought to be below 4 percent, the level where an explosion could occur.

TEPCO says the nitrogen injection will push out hydrogen and reduce its concentration.

Recounting:

In late October TEPCO discovers hydrogen is building up and begins injecting nitrogen into the Number 2 reactor. Is hydrogen still building up at this time? Is TEPCO still injecting nitrogen into reactor number 2? Unknown.

Keeping hydrogen density low is an indispensible condition in the second step of the process decided upon by the government and TEPCO to resolve the nuclear accident. They are aiming to achieve a state of cold shutdown for the reactors by the end of the year.

The date of December 16 was reported by the Japanese press as an important milestone in the efforts to bring the ongoing nuclear crisis one step closer to a resolution.

A cold shutdown is reached when the water used to cool down nuclear fuel rods remains under its boiling point, preventing the fuel from heating again. Internal data from Tokyo Electric Power Co, the operator of the Fukushima plant, showed at the end of November that the temperatures of the nuclear fuel lying at the bottom of the containment vessel have been stabilized.
If the prime minister Yoshihiko Noda declares a cold shutdown at the plant, it would be an important step towards the end of the nuclear crisis. For example, it may allow the government to end the evacuation period for about 80,000 residents on a 20 kilometer area around the plant who have been forced to leave their homes.

Is the attempt to achieve cold shutdown linked to massive radioactive water spill that was directed into the ocean via the gutter?
Would the Japanese government declare a cold shutdown successful and move people back into a deadly radioactive zone?

Major food and candy maker Meiji Co. said that it was recalling canned powdered milk for infants, with expiration dates of October 2012, as a precaution.

The levels of radioactive cesium were well below government-set safety limits, and the company said the amounts were low enough not to have any affect on babies' health even if they drank the formula every day.

Flu and Vaccine news: new virus, destroyed immunity and forced vaccination

In 2006 the US introduced a rotavirus vaccine followed two years later in 2008 by an additional rotavirus vaccine......

RotaTeq, the first of the two vaccines now on the U.S. market, received Food and Drug Administration licensing in 2006, but widespread U.S. rotavirus vaccination of children did not reach a high level until 2008, when a second formulation, Rotarix, also received FDA approval.

It came out in 2010 that the vaccine Rotarix had been contaminated with pig DNA.

Interesting that it took two plus years for the FDA to mention that?

This year the Rotarix vaccine was made mandatory in Ontario, likely in the rest of Canada.

Annual Flu Vaccine May Weaken Kids Immunity

The annual flu vaccine can weaken children's resistance to other types of influenza virus, including those that could cause a pandemic, according to a study published in the November issue of the Journal of Virology.

In fact, if I am reading this correctly it seems that unvaccinated children had better immunity then vaccinated

Of the unvaccinated children, 24 of 27 (89%) had antibodies against at least 1 A/H3N2 virus, and 20 (74%) had antibodies against at least 1 A/H1N1 virus. All vaccinated children had antibodies against at least 1 influenza virus, including A/H1N1(2009). However, unvaccinated children had significantly higher geometric mean titers for several viruses, including the influenza A/Panama/07/99 (H3N2) and A/Solomon Islands/3/2006 (H1N1) viruses (P = .04 and P = .01, respectively).

They found that the percentage of virus-specific ICD8+ T cells — that is, T cells with a memory for influenza viruses — ranged from 0.00% to 2.32% in unvaccinated children and from 0.06% to 1.56% in vaccinated children.

They noted an age-dependent increase in the virus-specific CD8+ T cell response in the unvaccinated children (P = .040), but not in the vaccinated children (P = .714).

Finally, in children older than 5 years, the investigators found a significantly higher percentage (P = .038) of CD8+ T cells in the unvaccinated group (mean, 0.86%; standard deviation [SD], 0.67%) than in the vaccinated group (mean, 0.37%; SD, 0.45%).

Digression- Of course the spin is still that vaccines are effective, despite the fact that study shows the vaccine weaken immunity in children? And that the unvaccinated children had better immunity. Talk about cognitive dissonance!)

Flu vaccine to include a seizure warning

DRUG giant CSL has changed its prescribing information for next year's flu vaccine to warn doctors that two toddlers had to be hospitalised during clinical trials supervised by the federal government's key immunisation adviser.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration yesterday revealed that it had known of the side effects for six years, yet only now had it notified doctors "to provide a complete picture of the vaccine safety"

So there will be a warning about the seizures, but, the recommendation stands- give your kids the flu vaccine.
What is going on with the child's brain that it is seizing in that manner? What has the vaccine done to the brain to cause that seizure?

Parents who do not have their children fully immunised will be stripped of family tax benefits under a scheme announced by the Federal Government.

Russia has supplied Syria with cruise missiles, as in "Done Deal"

Fulfilling a contract signed in 2007, Russia has supplied Bastion coastal missile systems with Yakhont cruise missiles to Syria under a contract signed in 2007, a diplomatic source in Moscow has told Russian media.

"The Yakhont supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles have been supplied as part of Bastion mobile coastal missile systems," the source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Interfax.

However, delivery of the weapons systems is just the first part of the process, and now “more time is needed to complete Syrian personnel training," the source said, adding that the missile system will “enable Syria to protect its entire coast from a possible seaborne attack."

Speaking on the missile delivery to Syria, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told reporters earlier this year that Russia intended to fulfill the 2007 contract.

"We are going to supply Yakhonts to Syria. We are going to fulfill the contract," he said.

All reports appear to indicate the missiles have already been delivered.... the uncertainty is how many.

I am always leary of anonymous sources, but, it seems possible.

The international scene has been recently witness to various threats by Israelis, Americans and certain European countries against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Although such threats, especially from the Israelis, had started before release of the recent Iran report of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the country's nuclear program, they became more serious after IAEA director general, Yukiya Amano, published his report. The report has been assessed by most experts as being purely motivated on political grounds. In that report, IAEA claimed that it is in possession of information which proves the existence of a military dimension to Iran's nuclear activities. Interestingly, Israeli and American officials knew all about the content of the report before it was officially circulated and orchestrated an intensely negative propaganda campaign against Iran. According to IAEA Statute, the content of the reports, which is considered confidential, cannot be revealed before they are released to all members of the Agency.

Although recent threats against Iran have been very extensive, the West's claims about diversion in Iran's nuclear activities are nothing new. Efforts made by the western countries to intensify sanctions against Iran are not new either. Even Israel's military threat against Iran is not new.( all of this is correct, given the previous posts on the blog on this subject)
Many experts maintain that all these threats and measures are aimed to help the United States to set the stage and encourage the international community to agree to more serious and extensive sanctions against the country. In this way, they want to make Iran totally isolated in economic terms. Even before IAEA released its latest report, they talked about imposing sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran to disturb the country's import and export system. According to this viewpoint, although the White House has followed its usual strategy toward Iran in which no option has been ever taken off the table and military assault is always an option, a threat to military strike against Iran seems to be nothing more than a political tactic.

Under present circumstances, a military strike against Iran is not strategically possible for the United States because of various reasons.

In more precise words, the region is in the vortex of extensive strategic changes and concurrent pressure on Iran and Syria can be considered along the same line. In view of the aforesaid reasons, military intervention in Iran is currently out of the question. Therefore, the United States and Europe are trying along with their allies to boost political, economic, and psychological pressures against Iran to make economic and political activities more difficult for the country. Intensification of Iran's geopolitical isolation will have profound psychological effects on the spirit and power of Tehran's strategic ally. The United States and its allies have done their best in recent days to occupy Iran with grave psychological and economic problems in order to prevent its political and military support for Syria.

Examples to the point include recent allegations about Iran's complicity in an assassination plot targeting the Saudi ambassador to US and insistence of Washington and Saudi Arabia on taking the case to the United Nations Security Council to adopt an anti-Iranian resolution as well as intensification of tensions between Iran and the Saudi - Turkey axis. They have been also escalating international sanctions against Tehran to include the Central Bank of Iran in a bid to disrupt the country's import and export mechanisms.The undocumented report of IAEA director general (mostly based on US claims) about Iran's nuclear activities and its consideration by IAEA Board of Governors was done with the purpose of using that report to further incite the international community against Iran. They have also launched an unprecedentedly widespread propaganda campaign about possible military attack on Iran. Add to this long list the fact that Iran is already entangled in domestic political, foreign, and economic crises.

Distract Iran to destroy Syria?

On the other hand, Syria, as Iran's closest strategic ally, is experiencing totally critical conditions on the other side of the equation. Now that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is done in Libya, the United States and its allies have completely focused on Syria. Although Damascus has threatened that foreign intervention in Syria will be like playing with fire, the United States and its allies have decided to reduce the power of Damascus before any form of direct intervention. As said before, unlike Iran, foreign military intervention in Syria is by no means impossible. At present, Syria's conditions have become once more critical. Perhaps this is somehow due to the reality that just a day after the Syrian government announced its agreement to the Arab League's plan to stop harsh treatment of protesters, withdraw security forces from the streets and start negotiations with the opposition, clashes heightened between protesters and government forces. Some opposition figures even noted that the Arab League's plan was too reconciliatory and lenient and asked the protesters to continue street demonstrations, avoid of negotiations with the government, and continue their struggle until the Syrian regime is toppled with the help of foreign forces.

The conditions provided the Americans and their allies with a good opportunity to use a multifaceted active diplomacy (one facet of which was worsening geopolitical isolation of Iran) and clear the way for a regime change in Syria. It is quite evident that the Arab League's plan was meant for justification of foreign intervention from the first. After opposition groups treated the plan coldly, the European Union announced that its members have reached an early agreement to impose more sanctions against Syria. Meanwhile, the pressure exerted on Syria by Russia and China to accept the Arab League's initiative should not be ignored. If it was not for such pressures from Russia and China, the Syrian government would not have accepted the plan even orally. (Syria did not accept the last round of Arab league edicts resulting in sanctions)

One day after the Syrian protesters carried placards asking the Arab League to suspend their country's membership in the League and officially recognize the transitional council, the League members took the Syrian government by surprise and in addition to suspending its membership, recalled their ambassadors from Damascus.

Judging from their positions on Syria, it seems that Arab countries have been convinced about regime change in Syria. Diplomatic pressures, in the meantime, are tightening on the Syrian government. It started by suspension of Syria's membership in the Arab League and was followed by the Jordanian king's call on Assad to step down and the three-day deadline given to Damascus by the Arab League to stop suppression of protesters and allow foreign observers to enter the country. In addition, it was recently announced that some Arab leaders have said they were ready to grant asylum to the Syrian president. Turkey has also announced that if military intervention gains relative legitimacy from Arab countries and even the EU, it will directly take part in the conflict. Turkey has already ended cooperation with Syria in exploring oil reserves and has threatened that if the violence continued in the country, it would cut power exports to its southern neighbor.

On the whole, the international community has not reached a final conclusion on the necessity of military intervention in Syria, as it did in the case of Libya. However, overall political situation in the region as well as threats leveled and pressures exerted by the Americans and their allies against Iran and Syria indicate that all the pieces of the regional political and geopolitical chess have been arranged in a cunning way by the United States and its allies against Syria. In fact, the United States and its allies are trying to kill two birds with one stone through this strategy. Firstly, they want to increase Iran's geopolitical isolation by boosting concurrent political and economic pressures on Syria. If successful, this process will provide Turkey and Saudi Arabia, as the sole regional rivals of Iran, with a vital geopolitical opportunity.

Therefore, the main goal of all the ongoing propaganda as well as political, economic and military threats by the United States and its allies is to change the Syrian regime. At any rate, Iran's diplomatic apparatus should take West's threats quite seriously because increased sway of the West in Syria will lead to contraction of Iran's geopolitical borders.

Another day, another Pro-Assad protest. As always far bigger then the NATO backed protests.
Not just in Damascus. Also in Latakia. Syrian supporters have also protested outside of embassies of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, to name a couple. As I had mentioned in a previous post, Syrians have also protested in the US in support of Assad and against western intervention.

The msm has been spinning allegations of atrocities against children. Unsubstantiated, of course.

"At present, the humanitarian needs identified in Syria do not warrant the implementation of either of those mechanisms," she said, adding that the United Nations had been unable to assess comprehensively those needs because of the limited number of international staff operating in Syria.

"Before any further discussion of these options, it is essential to get a clearer sense of what exactly people need, and where," Amos said in a statement released on Friday

Does this mean all the logistics are not in place? That the "free syrian" army is not well armed enough? Or not enough fighters and infiltrators have been brought in?

Alleged "Libyan rebels"

Libyan sources conveyed in recent days that 600 rebel fighters have already gone from Libya to Syria The sources explained that the announcement of Libyan interim leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil regarding his country's willingness to provide support for the rebels in Syria, has actually opened the door to volunteers. The source pointed out that there is coordination between the Libyan interim government and the Syrian opposition.

As I have stated previously and repeatedly the "free Syrian" army is neither free nor Syrian. Someone is paying for those mercenaries? Someone is paying for Muslim Brotherhood fighters? Or the Turkish troops? Who could it be?

Russia is calling for an end to ultimatums against Syria

"Right now, the most important thing is to stop acting by means of ultimatums and try to move toward political dialogue," Mr Lavrov said.

Lavrov also criticized a proposed arms embargo

"We know how that worked in Libya when the arms embargo only applied to the Libyan army, the opposition received weapons," Mr Lavrov told reporters.

Yeah, we know how that worked.

As you may have read yesterday, Russia is sending a warship into the Tartus (Tartous) port.

It is claimed to be a routine visit, much like the George HW Bush carrier is on routine visit
The paper said the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier would be armed with at least eight Sukhoi-33 fighters, several MiG-29K fighters and two helicopters.

It will also have cruise and surface to air missiles, the paper said.

A navy spokesman was not available to comment to Reuters.

Yegor Engelhart, an analyst with Moscow-based defence think-tank CAST, said Moscow did not want its position to be ignored while the Assad government was under pressure.

"At the very least Moscow wants to show that it is willing to defend its interests in Syria," he said

Russian officials say the naval base at Tartus is used for repairs to ships from its Black Sea fleet and Izvestia said about 600 Russian Defence Ministry employees worked there. There are currently no Russian ships there, the paper said. (I had doubts about the Haaretz report last week)

Libya is "gunning" for Syrian opposition- That is gun running

Syrian rebels held secret talks with Libya's new authorities (NATO backed government) on Friday, aiming to secure weapons and money (funneling guns and money from western intersts via puppet regime in Libya) for their insurgency against President Bashar al-Assad's regime, The Daily Telegraph has learned.

At the meeting, which was held in Istanbul and included Turkish officials, the Syrians requested "assistance" from the Libyan representatives and were offered arms, and potentially volunteers.

"There is something being planned to send weapons and even Libyan fighters to Syria," said a Libyan source, speaking on condition of anonymity. "There is a military intervention on the way. Within a few weeks you will see."

Libyan "fighters" or "rebels", means mercenaries, means special ops.
It sure as heck does not mean Libyan citizens.

The Telegraph has also learned that preliminary discussions about arms supplies took place when members of the Turkish-based Syrian National Council [SNC] — the country's main opposition movement — visited Libya earlier this month.

"The Libyans are offering money, training and weapons to the Syrian National Council," added Wissam Tariff, a human rights campaigner with links to the SNC.

The United Nations human rights committee has passed a resolution condemning Syria's crackdown on opposition protests.

In the previous post, I queried, was this enough to justify an attack on Syria?
However the invasion will be spun, will the UN human rights council vote be enough of an excuse?

The international "community" with according to Jupe consists of Arab League and UN lackies can get the regime to "allow" these humanitarian corridors.

Recall the number of posts I have had up regarding Turkey's attempt to create a "buffer zone" in Syria.
Recall the "Free Syrian Army" that is amassing at the border of Syria in Turkey& Lebanon, quite possibly Jordan.

Jordan's role, while definitely involved in the destabilization, has been garnering a little less coverage then Turkey's role in Syria's ruin.

Of course Jordan has a bigger role to play as we read in yesterday's post.

Once Syria falls, Israel will be free to do it's worst to the Palestinian's in the open air ghetto known as Gaza and Jordan will be there take in all the "refugees" from Israel's final onslaught to control that little piece of the Mediterranean and all the energy that is contained within the waters off the coast of Gaza and eventually Lebanon.

Secondly, an Arab world in turmoil would leave the Palestinians without even the minimal clout and bargaining power they "enjoy" today. Take away the threat of Damascus and Tehran and Israel would be free to do its worst.

This is presented as being beneficial to the Palestinian cause. Is it really?
Isn't it in fact more beneficial that Palestinians get their own nation, and their lands back and their right of return?
In fact the very concept of Palestinians in Jordan is one that is often promoted by Israel and that nations supporters..

This is linked to the destabilization of Syria

The thinking in Jordan is that when Assad's regime falls, (as if it is a foregone conclusion?) Hamas will need a new home - this is likely to be an excellent chance for Jordan to return to the center of Palestinian politics, from which it has been excluded for a decade.

Wild card Qatar

The factor apparently stirring the cauldron between Jordan and Hamas is Qatar, which recently held intensive talks with Abdullah in a bid to advance Hamas' return to Jordan.

A return of the Hamas leadership to Jordan would mark a significant political change in the organization's position. The establishment of a base in a country that has signed a peace agreement with Israel and is committed to Israel's security is not something even Israel can object to.

Why would Israel object to this? Hasn't this always been part of their agenda?

Plan for Syrian airspace closure completed

Reports claim that the purpose of the closure is to paralyze Syrian military movement and follow the Presidential Palace, military command and intelligence activities. "The Syrian military can be paralyzed in less than 24 hours," sources noted.
European sources in Washington have stated that the plan to close Syrian airspace has been completed. According to reports in Kuwait's Al-Rai newspaper, the plan will be carried out by Arab and maybe even Turkish fighter jets with US supplied logistical assistance.

Considering how the destruction of Syria is so beneficial to the US and Israel.
Particularly in the Middle East- Israel as the regional power. Sweet, for Israel.

Reading what Erdogan is saying today.....

After the attack on the Mavi Marmara, when Erdogan was spewing all the right rhetoric, I was fooled. Admittedly. No one is perfect.
That was then and this is now.
Now the blinders are off and Erdogan's true colours are shining through. Have been for some time now.
So the language that he used in his latest rail against Assad is all that more telling.

“Assad says he will fight until he dies,” Mr Erdogan said. “For God’s sake who are you fighting? Fighting your own people is not bravery but fear. Look at Hitler … look at the leader of Libya, who was killed and who used the same expressions as you.”
