Dave McGowan's Laurel Canyon and Programmed to Kill

Anyone who has been reading or listening to this series at either Dave's site or Meria Heller's show, or most likely listening and reading and then going back and reading again... ok, maybe that is just me, I admit it (shrugs shoulders)

Dave has said time and time again to read "Programmed to Kill", to get a better understanding of the goings on in Laurel Canyon.

"early on in this series, when I urged readers to pick up a copy of "
Well, You should and I did!!!!!!
Not only is the book and eye opener on it's own, it is indeed, important for the Laurel Canyon writings.

While touring around on the net I came across the first six parts of "Programmed to Kill".

I hesitated to link to them, because Dave has long been one of my favourites on the Meria Heller show and I love, own and have nearly read all 3 of his books. (working on Programmed to Kill right now)

In conversation with someone, the suggestion was made that I should post them, to whet readers appetites for more.

I gave this alot of thought, and decided I will.

So here are the links to the first six parts:
The Pedophocracy, Part I: From Brussels
The Pedophocracy, Part II:... to Washingto
The Pedophocracy, Part III:Uncle Sam Wants Your Children
The Pedophocracy, Part IV:McMolestation
The Pedophocracy, Part V:It Couldn't Happen Here
The Pedophocracy, Part VI:Finders Keepers

Dave, should you actually grace this blog with your presence, which would impress me immeasurably, I hope you take no offense to this, and I hope this does indeed pique people's interests enough to want to read the rest of the book.

Not exactly on topic, but related:
People in general , should read more and watch less tv. We would all be better off for it!

Western hypocrisy on China's Internet censorship

Well China is at it again, yes they are, they are in fact so evil they are blocking/censoring the internet!

Can you imagine that?
Every other country is lashing out at China via their alleged "free" media.
All singing from the same song book, at the same time.

The hypocrisy of it all is just so blatant, but how many people even realize that?
I'll give you one example: US says China has 'nothing to fear' from Internet
The United States on Wednesday ramped up pressure on China to live up to Olympic ideals by ending human rights abuses, as President George W. Bush promised "nothing to fear" from Internet freedom.

I love when the US government spouts this claptrap. Does it fill the hearts of the "true patriots" with pride? True patriots are just willfully blind and dumb persons, but I digress..............
Back to the nonsense.

The US says China has nothing to fear from the Internet, and there is no need to censor it, because freedom is good, the more freedom the better.

See there it is right there in black and white:

"President Bush has long said that China has nothing to fear from greater access to the Internet or to the press or from more religious freedom and human freedom and human rights," press secretary Dana Perino said.

This from the Bush regime?
Human freedoms, Religious freedom and human rights???
One word: Guantanamo, Rendition flights, Maher Arar, Torture. Oh sorry, I know I said one word. But they just kept coming and I just couldn't stop, but I am certain you get the drift.

China, there is nothing to fear from the Internet, as the US claims, freedom is good and yet, remember this one?

Internet snoops wanted. Apply US Army.
Do you have what it takes to snoop around web pages, chat rooms, blogs and other Internet areas? Great, the United States Army has just the job for you...
"The purpose of the services will be to identify and assess stated and implied threat, antipathy, unrest, and other contextual data relating to selected internet domains. The contractor will prioritize foreign language domains that relate to specific areas of concern."
Looks like the US is afraid. Of "antipathy" and "unrest", can't have the natives getting too restless I guess? Especially when the financial times are really tough, what with so many people losing their homes, their jobs, their pensions, can't afford food etc.,

Or how about all the recent news on the internet blocking and strangling as a means of censorship in the West.

Comcast has been blocking sites and strangling traffic to the point that Vonage made a collaborative deal with them.

Comcast Again Chided For Allegedly Blocking Internet Traffic

"Comcast's announcement that it has a collaborative agreement with Vonage to help ensure it can deliver itsVoIP services smoothly has drawn criticism.
Comcast has been criticized for slowing or blocking network traffic, but the company claims it has done so only to alleviate network congestion, without regard to the source of the content.

That's a lot of baloney, clearly Comcast knows what it is blocking, and it appears Vonage was but one of their targets.

In Canada, Bell has also been throttling Internet Service and on top of that claiming it is good for innovation?

Throttling Is Good for Innovation, Claims Canadian Telco

Therefore in summary, China censoring, throttling or blocking the Internet, is bad, very bad, it is infact so evil the "free" West must shout it from the rooftops.

But, from the West, throttling , censoring and spying is good, acceptable and innovative.
It is most certainly NOT evil.

Double Standards as usual.

Porn as the "cause celebre" to wipe out the internet

I am certain everyone has read about the plans to end the net as we know it. Since apparently Internet service providers are not making enough money, already charging for access, never mind if you actually have a website, but there are ever more opportunities to make, even more money. You can read about this kind of stuff here or here or I am certain in a myriad of other places.

All of the speculation on how the Internet Service Providers are going to manipulate you into accepting this massive grab of even more of your hard earned dollars depend on creating enough fear of the Internet. Pornography, especially child pornography will be the key to dead-bolting the Internet door

“The Internet will be more and more marketed as a place full of child pornography and other horrible illegal activity in order to get people on their [the ISP’s] side once they start restricting it and make it ‘safer,’

What is with the common theme of keeping you safe? Do you people not realize, that is a scam?
Hint: no one really cares about your safety, get over it, keep yourself and your loved ones safe on line or everywhere else for that matter. Use some common sense.
There, now I feel better.

Imagine that, porn being used as a justification to shutting down internet access?

Well it is a little tough to understand how that will be possible given the law is firmly on the side of the porn business, and it really is a business, a multi-billion dollar business!!!

Say what, the law is on the side of the pornographers? It does appear that way, read on.

In the book "Programmed to Kill" which has offered up some interesting tidbits that were wholly unexpected and yet are relevant to more recent news events. Like porn and the internet.
In the chapter of the book titled "The Pedophocracy PtII" the fearless author, passes on this bit of info to the reader:

In the age of the Internet, child pornography is a booming business. The Los Angeles Times noted in December of 1999 that: “the number of investigations for Internet-related child pornography is soaring. The FBI launched 1,125 such inquiries this year, more than twice as many as last year.” In the wake of this rising tide, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling on December 17, 1999 which struck a serious blow to the prosecution of child pornography cases.

As the Times reported, the decision stipulated that “the government cannot prohibit computer-generated sexual images that only appear to be pictures of children.” A later report noted that appeals court judge Donald Molloy stated that the First Amendment bars the government from criminalizing the generation of “images of fictitious children engaged in imaginary but explicit sexual conduct.”

On January 22, 2001, the United States Supreme Court agreed to hear an appeal of the case. Should the presidential appointees on the high court choose to affirm the decision of the lower court, prosecution of child pornography cases will become all but impossible in all fifty states. Until that time, prosecutors are “barred from bringing virtual-child pornography cases in California and the eight other Western states within the jurisdiction of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.”

I had to read that twice, a lower court issued a decision, which really did strike a blow to the ability to prosecute child pornography cases.

“the government cannot prohibit computer-generated sexual images that only appear to be pictures of children.”

Why did this strike such a blow to the prosecution of such cases you may ask, surely not all such images are computer generated?

I am going to let Dave explain that to you:

As critics have noted, graphics technology now available to the general public is so sophisticated that it is virtually impossible to determine if an image has been digitally altered, and if therefore any actual children were involved in the generation of the image. Justice Department lawyers argued that very point, noting that the “government may find it impossible in many cases to prove that a pornographic image is of a real child.”

Any good defense attorney could, in other words, raise reasonable doubt as to the authenticity of an image. It could in fact be argued that all such computer images “only appear to be pictures of children.” Computer images are not in fact photos, but are digital computer files that display as a facsimile of the original photo. A sound legal argument could be made that all digitally transferred and displayed child pornography is therefore legal, as it doesn't represent 'real children.'

There you have it, given that computer technology is all digital imaging, an argument can be made that any and all images of children are computer generated.

This ruling had an immediate effect, offering up the release of Patrick J. Naughton.

He was convicted on December 16, just one day before the decision was handed down in the case before the circuit court. Within hours of the appeals court ruling, Naughton was released by federal prosecutors on $100,000 bail. Despite the fact that he was, as the Times acknowledged, convicted of “possessing pictures of actual children,” the decision was made to release him “until the impact of the court's ruling can be sorted out,” illustrating the significant undermining of existing law that the court ruling portends.

Well that was certainly a good bit of luck for this fellow, eh?

You can read a little more on this issue, if you are so inclined here

But then it get's even better, wait for it........

On April 2002, the Supreme Court upheld the lower court decision. By doing this the highest court in the land, extended the ban on the prosecution of all "virtual pornography" to all 50 States.
Given the already mentioned court decisions and the fact that as I already mentioned, but, hell I don't think it can be said enough, the pornography industry is BIG business, I mean huge, likely billions of dollars, it is a given that NOTHING will actually be done about it, NOTHING.

What will happen if porn is used to scare people into acceptance of the need to restrict the net is, the vast majority of internet users will lose their right to chose where to surf, small sites will disappear and the net will turn into one big subscription television outlet.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

On a personal note

Reading this book, has been disturbing, to say the least.
Have I had difficulty sleeping? Yes.
Words from the book, haunt my dreams at night.

I got to hear an older interview today with the author regarding this book.
Dave made it clear that the book was, as I had suspected, a difficult one to write.

How could it not be?
It exposes the author and a reader to a world so perverse and twisted, one can hardly believe that people, alleged human beings, are capable of these attrocities, and yet, it appears they are.

But then , a passing thought, look at what people do to one another on a daily basis?
Just reading the news is enough to leave one in despair.

Look at the endless warfare, slaughter of innocent civilians, women raped and sold into prostitution, human smuggling as a global "business", the reports on tourism for pedophiles.
People gunned down, right on their own streets.

Have we as humans lost our humanity?
Have we lost our connection, to each other and to our planet?
How have so many of us let ourselves get to this level?
I fear, far to many of us have lost touch with what makes us human.
I just don't know..............

More weirdness from Dave McGowans book

While reading Dave McGowans book, Programmed to Kill, I was surprised to see a familiar name. Rudy Guiliani. America`s mayor and Republican Presidential Candidate.

Remember this news story from 2007 ?

Giuliani Defends, Employs Priest Accused of Molesting Teens

Presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani hired a Catholic priest to work in his consulting firm months after the priest was accused of sexually molesting two former students and an altar boy and told by the church to stop performing his priestly duties.

The accusations against the Priest were made in 2002 in testimony before a Suffolk County grand jury, 5 yrs before Guiliani hired him. An anomoly? Apparently not. This latest news wasn't Guiliani's first brush with accused pedophiles. Here is a snippet:

"As The Times Herald Record reported in June of 1991: “The incidents [at the West Point Child Development Center] unfolded against a backdrop of satanic acts, animal sacrifices and cult-like behavior among the abusers, whose activities extended beyond the U.S. Military Academy borders to Orange County and a military base in San Francisco, parents charged.”

The case first broke in July of 1984, when a three-year-old girl found herself in the emergency room of the West Point Hospital with a lacerated vagina. She told the examining physician that a teacher at the day care center had hurt her. The next month, the parents of another child leveled accusations of abuse at the center.

As the Mercury News reported: “By the end of the year, 50 children had been interviewed by investigators. Children at West Point told stories that would become horrifyingly familiar. They said they had been ritually abused.

Despite abundant medical and psychological evidence, and literally dozens of child witnesses, and despite “950 interviews by 60 FBI agents assigned to the investigation, an investigation led by former U.S. Attorney Rudolph Giuliani produced no federal grand jury indictments,” according to the Herald Record.

The Herald also noted that: “In 1987, Giuliani said his detailed investigation showed only one or two children were abused.” This was, it should be noted, a bare-faced lie as the Herald report divulged: “a still-secret, independent report - produced by one of the nation's top experts on child sexual abuse - confirms the children's accusations of abuse.”

This was not the first time that the prestigious academy had shown an appalling willingness to overlook extreme levels of abuse directed at children by army personnel. A year before the abuse case broke, a 22-month-old child was murdered by an Army staff sergeant. The Mercury News reported that: “After a court martial hearing, the sergeant was given an 18 month suspended sentence and dishonorable discharge." In other words, he served no time and was essentially given a free ride for murdering a child.

With help from Giuliani, the FBI, the U.S. Army, and the grand jury, the abusers of countless children at the day care center (which was, appropriately enough, building number 666 on the academy grounds) were likewise given a free ride."

Some people have accused Guiliani of aiding in a cover-up in the West Point Case.
A familiar accusation in the 9/11 movement.

The handling of the West Point abuse case so disturbed one Army doctor he refused promotion:

An Army doctor rejected promotion to major at a public ceremony yesterday because, he said, officials have failed to respond adequately to charges that his daughter, 3, and other children were sexually abused at the day care center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Capt. Walter R. Grote, 33, told a gathering at a promotion ceremony at Fort Dix, N.J., "I cannot accept promotion in a system that at first refused to acknowledge and now refuses to deal with the victims of extensive child abuse that occurred at the West Point Child Development Center."

Dave McGown: Laurel Canyon

Believe it or not, yesterdays post on the recruiting of children for the military was the segue to this post. Read on and you'll see why.

Anyone who has been following Dave McGowan's series on Laurel Canyon, particularly if you get to hear him on the Meria Heller show, know that he recommends the reading of his book "Programmed to Kill , The Politics of Serial Murder" as a primer for weird goings on in Laurel Canyon.

I have the book. It's one of those books , that at least for me, is an "Oh My God, you have to hear this" book and has me reading entire paragraphs to those around me wether they want to listen or not.

In the introduction , we read about mind control, MK Ultra, that sort of thing.

We meet George Estabrooks, who worked under contract to American Intelligence agencies and wrote the first book on the methedology of mind control in his book "Hypnotism" published in 1943. It is noted the degree to which a person is prone to being mind-controlled is relative to a persons susceptability to dissasociative states. This is explained further in the book.

Aslo mentioned, one of the most severe of the disorders MPD/DID (multiple personality disorder/dissociative identity disorder) stems from psychological trauma so severe that it cannot be integrated into the core experinces of the personality.
By far one of the most common causes of MPD/DID is early childhood trauma.

Another author and book: Paul Verdier "Brainwashing and the Cults: An expose on capturing the human mind" Verdier opens the book with the acknowledgement that "brainwashing is taking place here [in the US] by devious persons with personal gain in mind.

Verdier puts forth the concept that children are ideal brainwash candidates.

(now do you see the connection between the videogame targetting children in the US for military service? "ideal brainwash candidates")

Off topic but, I can't help but think of all the marketing , the advertising boom, that really took off in the '60's aimed at the young boomers, which seemed to morph nicely into the "ME generation of the '80's. Likely not a coincidence. Sorry for that, back to the book............)

Of course there has to be people that operate on the side of 'disbelief', and for that we have the False Memory Syndrome Foundation. Playing a key role in this movement of discrediting child abuse claims, are Paul and Shirley Eberle, authors of a purportedly authoritative book "The Politics of Child Abuse". Interesting title? Even more interesting are the Eberles themselves, who have been linked to child pornography, I'll let you look into that one yourself.

Then we move onto the pedophocracy chapter and here we meet from Brussels, Marc Dutroux.

" Dutroux was sentenced in 1989 to thirteen years for his crimes, but was freed after having served just three. This was in spite of the fact that, as prison governor Yvan Stuaert would later tell a parliamentary commission: "A medical report described him as a perverse psychopath, an explosive mix. He was an evident danger to society." The man who turned Dutroux loose on society, Justice Minister Melchior Wathelet, was rewarded with a prestigious appointment to serve as a judge at the European Court of Justice at The Hague"

Officials seem to have routinely ignored tips that later proved accurate, including a report from Dutroux's own mother that her son was holding girls prisoner in one of his houses.

In addition, key facts were withheld from investigators working on the disappearances and lines of communication were unaccountably broken, inexcusably hindering the investigation.

Officials ignoring tips, lines of communication brokem, key facts withheld. What is this a persistent MO ? It sounds all to familiar!

anyway, one can read on this topic here

In a nutshell, Dutroux was well connected politically, by the dirt he had on some very important people.

From Belgium(chapter 1) we move to Portugal and another large pedophile ring, going through a sordid rehash of child porn rings, and ritualistic abuse in other countries, eventually taking us to the US, (chapter 2) the biggest consumer of kiddie porn in the world, and all the way to the Franklin Cover-up, also linked to powerful people.

US Military recruits children through "America's Army" Video game

Video Game Violates International Law

In May of 2002, the United States Army invaded E3, the annual video game convention held in Los Angeles. At the city's Convention Center, young game enthusiasts mixed with camouflaged soldiers, Humvees and a small tank parked near the entrance. Thundering helicopter sound effects drew the curious to the Army's interactive display, where a giant video screen flashed the words "Empower yourself. Defend America ... You will be a soldier

The Army was unveiling its latest recruitment tool, the "America's Army" video game, free to download online or pick up at a recruiting station, and now available for purchase on the Xbox, PlayStation, cell phones and Gameboy game consoles. Since its release, the "game" has gone on to attain enormous popularity with over 30,000 players everyday, more than nine million registered users, and version 3.0 set for launch in September. "America's Army" simulates the Army experience, immersing players in basic training before they can go on to play specialized combat roles. Most of the gameplay takes place in cyberspace where virtual Mideast cities, hospitals and oil rigs serve as backdrops ( note the priorities) for players to obliterate each other. As a "first person shooter," the game allows players to "see what a soldier sees" in real combat situations - peek around corners, take fine aim, chose weapons that replicate those actually used by the US Army.

For the game's commercial developers, realism is one its strongest selling points. Console version programmers were shipped to military training facilities in Wyoming, where they ran boot camp obstacle courses, fired weapons at the shooting range and got whisked around on helicopters. Back at hip, safe San Francisco Bay Area game companies, Army weapons specialists worked with developers to ensure aim, fire, sound and reload functions for all of the game's weapons were as close to the real thing as possible. The Army also ensured that players learn real weapons skills such as breath control and the reload time for a M4 carbine. And in order to edge closer to the Army's goal of "realism" and "authenticity," several of the game's missions are based on actual combat experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even the training simulators and firing ranges are modeled on the real life versions at Ft. Benning, Ft. Lewis and Ft. Polk. In a 2005 press release, Ubisoft, the multimillion-dollar publisher of the console version of the game, wrote that "America's Army" is the "deepest and most realistic military game ever to hit consoles," hoping that it gave players a "realistic, action-packed, military experience."

But, why?

But behind the fun and games is an attempt, in the words of a military booklet on "America's Army," "to build a game for Army strategic communication in support of recruiting." The Army spent $6 million to develop the game at the Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation Institute (MOVES) before handing it over to private companies for adaptation to the console formats in 2004. As the name implies, the MOVES Institute is the military center for creating virtual training environments and simulators. A MOVES Institute booklet proclaims a later version of the game, "America's Army: Special Forces," was developed specifically to increase the number of Army Special Forces recruits. "The Department of Defense want[ed] to double the number of Special Forces Soldiers, so essential did they prove in Afghanistan and northern Iraq; consequently, orders ... trickled down the chain of command and found application in the current release of 'America's Army.'"(3)

Say what?! A video game to increase recruits for the Army? Why the US would never do that to it's own youth! That is the domain of despots, thugs and Islam. Right? (envision eyes rolling)

What the game's "realism" is attempting to do is to mask the violent reality of combat, and military experience in general, for very specific purposes. At a minimum, the Army hopes "America's Army" will act as "strategic communication" to expose "kids who are college bound and technologically savvy" to positive messaging about the Army

Phase one of the propaganda effort is to expose children to "Army values" and make service look as attractive as possible.

Phase two is direct recruiting. According to Colonel Wardynski, who originally thought up selling the Army to children through video games, "a well executed game would put the Army within the immediate decision-making environment of young Americans. It would thereby increase the likelihood that these Americans would include Soldiering in their set of career alternatives." To make the connection between the game and recruitment explicit, the "America's Army" web site links directly to the Army's recruitment page.

Isn't that convenient, and sick all rolled into one. The targetting, brainwashing and recruitment of kids in one slick video game! How many parents have bought their children this game??

But more then the fact that this is a perversion and any parents who may have bought this for the children, should toss this promptly in the trash only after smashing it to smithereens, of course. There is this........

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has found that Army use of the game, and its recruiting practice in general, violate international law. In May, the ACLU published a report that found the armed services "regularly target children under 17 for military recruitment. Department of Defense instruction to recruiters, the US military's collection of information of hundreds of thousands of 16-year-olds, and military training corps for children as young as 11 reveal that students are targeted for recruitment as early as possible. By exposing children under 17 to military recruitment, the United States military violates the Optional Protocol." The Optional Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict, ratified by the Senate in December 2002, protects the rights of children under 16 from military recruitment and deployment to war. The US subsequently entered a binding declaration that raised the minimum age to 17, meaning any recruitment activity targeted at those under 17 years old is not allowed in the United States. The ACLU report goes on to highlight the role of "America's Army," saying the Army uses the game to "attract young potential recruits ... train them to use weapons, and engage in virtual combat and other military missions," adding that the game "explicitly targets boys 13 and older." In June, at the 48th session of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, the Committee noted US violations of the Protocol and urged the United States to "ensure that its policy and practice on deployment is consistent with the provisions of the Protocol."(11)

this is just a few paragraphs of a really long, but good article.
I had to chuckle at the first comment, wanting more reality in the game

"a call for a more realistic game about U.S. military service, where you are thrown into combat with inadequate training and equipment, lose a hand and get PTSD, and return home to find no support for your multiple handicaps, and end up living out of a shopping cart."

Omar Khadr rallies held in Canada

Social activists across Canada held rallies to put pressure on the Harper government to bring Omar Khadr back home, to Canada.

There are a number of news stories in the western media, check this page out. Lots in Canada, of course and one from International Herald Tribune(France), also one in the Jerusalem Post?

France I get, as they play a role in Quebec politics, why? who knows? But apparently before the election Sarkozy had a campaign office in Quebec.

Wondering why Israel is that interested in what is going on in Canada over a Guantanamo detainee?

But then wasn't that Conrad Black's paper, before jail ? Or is it still ?
Conrad Black, now there is a story for another day............ so maybe that's why.

But what is the most interesting of all?
I couldn't find any American press coverage.
Don't the American public need to know? should know? want to know?
After all it is their torture chamber, on that one Island that delivered a big blow to the US ego, and most importantly where all the torture is done in their name.

Columbian Hostage release, did someone pull a fast one?

As if the whole Betancourt/ Columbian hostage release wasn't questionable enough, it is now being reported that indeed, as had been suspected, Mossad participated in the rescue.
So says the Israeli press from Jerusalem Post and in another story Y-net

Mossad, the US, and French intelligence services worked for more than a year with the Colombian authorities to develop the plan," the story run by Vanguardia claimed, citing an Israeli secret service source."

While Betancourt's statements to the media immediately after her release acknowledged Israel's "experience" in similar situations, she did not unequivocally admit that Israel was involved in her release

Myself, I don't think the rescue went down the way it is being claimed.
One thing that doesn't quite sit right is the presence of John McCain in Columbia on the day the prisoners were "rescued". McCain finds himself stage front in Colombia

"The timing didn't hurt the Republican presidential candidate, who has long touted his foreign policy experience as being much stronger than that of Democratic rival Barack Obama."
How fortuitious for John? A little boost?

Then of course there are the numerous and different reports on just how the "rescue" went down.

Covered really well here

Version 1:

According to Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos, the 15 held by the FARC were handed over to military forces disguised as members of a “humanitarian mission.” The government stressed that it was a peaceful operation with not a single shot fired by either side. Their explanation was that it was an undercover operation facilitated by “infiltrating high layers of the FARC” and making them believe that the prisoners were going to meet Alfonso Cano, the current FARC top leader, who supposedly had sent the helicopter to pick them up.

While Santos stressed that it was a 100-percent Colombian operation, with no involvement of foreign governments or organizations, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino stated on July 3 that it “was conceived by the Colombians and executed by the Colombians with our full support.”

Was it a 100% Columbian Operation? What was the support offered by the US?
according to this news story
On Thursday, Col. William Costello, spokesman for the U.S. Southern Command, said the command made 3,600 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance flights, followed up on 175 intelligence leads and spent $250 million trying.

"We've been actively searching for these guys every day for the past 5 1/2 years," Costello said.
And they couldn't find or rescue them in all that time? Oh wait a minute they did find them!
In fact they knew where they were for a year.? (or possibly longer)

These sources said, according to MSNBC, that “the U.S. Special Operations Command helped with surveillance that positively located the hostages within the past year using satellites, aircraft and ground reconnaissance—and had tracked them since then.”

Version 2:

The French online news site MediaPart and Radio Suisse Romande both reported that the operation was not a rescue but a “$20-million-dollar transaction” and that the Colombian government had paid that amount—provided by the U.S. government—for the release of Betancourt and the three Pentagon contractors.

What is really interesting is Version 3:

Narciso Isa Conde, a Dominican left leader, has presented a third version of the events. Isa Conde is part of the Continental Bolivarian Coordinating Group and has the authority to speak on this matter since he had participated in earlier negotiations for the release of Betancourt. In a widely circulated article written July 3 and entitled “There was no such rescue,” he wrote that the operation was really “an initiative stolen from the FARC.”

Isa Conde says that the FARC was about to release the 15 to the French-Swiss team, so they had to be brought to one point from their locations in three different parts of the jungle. The detainees were to be transported in civilian helicopters to a place where they would meet with the FARC leadership in a ceremony to hand them over to the Europeans.

However, the Colombian military, with the help of U.S. surveillance, located the helicopters and substituted military pilots dressed as FARC members, wearing Che tee shirts, who kept up the pretense until all the detainees were inside the helicopters.

This certainly would explain why the rest of the guerrillas were so willing to hand over the prisoners without a shot being fired.

Were the hostages about to be freed anyway, due to the negotiations of the Swiss-French team?

Did US, Israeli and French Intelligence conspire to steal the show and benefit the Columbian Government? Did they pay to make it happen??

Dave McGown: Laurel Canyon

Another excellent interview on Meria Heller's show with everyone and no one, or is that 'nobodies' favourite Dave McGowan.
For anyone else who doesn't know the Laurel Canyon series has been quite the eye opener for all the weird goings on there, from CIA movie studios, connections to cults, Charles Manson, the military industrial complex, and more.(both Meria and Dave are linked at the side)

Did you catch the stuff on Jack Nicholson? bizarre.

And nobody he gave us a teaser and I am going to post it for you here:

Dr. Strangelove's Workplace

the focus of the book being on one, Albert Wohlstetter

Abella focuses on Albert Wohlstetter, a mathematical logician turned nuclear strategist who was the dominant figure at RAND starting in the early 1950s and whose influence has extended beyond his death in 1997 into the current Bush administration.
Ultimately, however, it was not so much Wohlstetter himself as his acolytes -- those bright, eager and ambitious young men who had sat cross-legged on the floor with their mentor at his stylish house in Laurel Canyon, or later in his classroom at the University of Chicago -- who had a major impact in Washington. Their number included Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz and Zalmay Khalilzad, who became three of the brightest stars in the neo-conservative constellation and played a significant role in advocating the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Another was Andrew W. Marshall, formerly a RAND economist, who, as promoter of the high-tech "Revolution in Military Affairs" in Donald Rumsfeld's Defense Department, was dubbed the Pentagon's "Yoda."
where he is going with this bit of information, I don't know, but it is curious?

Clearing the air on politically motivated misinformation.

What I have posted is a response written by a fella by the name of Kevin, he gave me the thumbs up to share his rant. I think he raises valid and overlooked points.

It is a response to an article called: Let's clear the air on carbon taxes
David Suzuki with Faisal Moola

I admit: we aren't 100 per cent sure that human activity is causing global warming. So let's all go home in our SUVs and join an "axe the tax" campaign. Come to think of it, we aren't sure that our houses will be robbed, flooded, or burned to the ground, so let's cancel our home insurance while we're at it.

When politicians, business people, and citizens show leadership by proposing or implementing solutions to the very real problems facing the planet (yes, more than 90 per cent certain is as real as it gets in science), they deserve our support, not mockery and politically motivated misinformation. Axe the tax, my ass!

Here is his response:

"I agree, lets "clear the air" especially as it relates to "politically motivated misinformation."

We already pay a huge carbon tax and both the escalating price and
burning of fossil fuels is reaping havoc on our very existence.
Governments enjoy huge income based on the extraction, refining and
utilization of natural resources, a large portion of which is funneled
back to the largest GHG emitting industries in the form of subsidies,
tax cuts and supportive measures that range from building and
maintaining the infrastructure necessary for their success to the
privatization policies that remove this wealth from the public purse and
place it firmly in the grip of private practitioners.

This is not only evidenced in the policies that force us to burn fossil
fuels while discouraging alternatives, but is also prevalent in our
country's unique global position of handing over public resources to the
private sector for what is generally considered pennies on the dollar,
while what we actually receive in return is the environmental impact of
loosely regulated practices that have huge health implications.
Moreover, thanks to NAFTA, we don't even get to ensure our own supply
requirements are met into the future. So, in essence, the Canadian
public gets all the pain and no gain while governments add insult to
injury by applying inequitable tax schemes which accrue even further
benefit to corporations.

Why does Suzuki not put big oil and gas and it's large supporting
corporate apparatus in the hash marks of his criticism? Why doesn't he
decry the bold, record-breaking corporate profiteering? The spoils of
which could be applied to R&D initiatives or invested in alternatives.
Why does he choose to target opposition to the policies established by
the bought and paid for governments of the main proponents of
environmental destruction and GHG emissions? This flies in the face of
reason and calls into question his foundation's reputation of astute
policy analysis, all of which makes the intention of the environmental
community and it's leaders as clear as carbon and begs the question of
what the hell is really going on?

It is obvious that victories for the environmental movement are few and
far between. They are hard fought, hard won battles and many times
victory is elusive. But this is no excuse for the players to falsely
claim a win for the environment while simply green-washing the corporate
agenda. "If you can't beat 'em join 'em," might be applicable in other
fields but not when dealing with the destruction we are reaping upon
ourselves and our planet.

The lead advocates of Campbell's tax must pull their collective heads
out of the clouds and quit being persuaded by the deceptive headlines
that somehow BC is leading the world on Climate Change, especially as it
relates to Campbell's Carbon Tax. In other jurisdictions where carbon
pricing has occurred we can readily examine the results because they
have been established for years. So, this is nothing new and we are not
leading anything but the grand deception that we are actually doing
something for the environment.

The jurisdictions that have had carbon taxes, of one form or another,
and some who have highly punitive measures coupled with grossly
exaggerated prices give us all the empirical data we require to confirm
that we are not in the lead, the tax will have little if any impact on
emissions and that we have offloaded both the cost and guilt associated
with greenhouse gas emissions onto the least guilty in society while
letting of the real perps.

Never did I think I would be shaming the likes of David Suzuki but now,
when we need him the most, he proves he is nothing short of a misguided
public figure who must somehow be in the pocket of the carbon industry
as there is no other logical explanation for his brash contempt of
reason in favour of political expediency at the expense of the very
cause he has built his career on.

Suzuki has dropped all pretense of altruism related to his notorious
reputation of planet friendly advocate. He has entirely abandoned the
premise of his foundation's work by committing an unyielding effort to
the relentless world of political spin in what can only be described as
a bewildering about face.

His recent transformation into Campbell's crusader on Climate Change via
the establishment, of all things -a new wealth transfer policy - is as
inexplicable as it is deplorable . This sheer political display not only
jeopardizes Suzuki's career and impeccable reputation but it also surely
throws the charitable status of his foundation into ill repute and
potentially violates the laws governing such organizations.

For a generation the voice of the "Nature of Things" reached into the
homes of Canadians and by it's virtue gained a foothold in the psyche of
our citizenry. David Suzuki rightly claimed the moral ground as Canada's
High Priest of the Environment but now he has recklessly fallen from the
alter by proving his intent is not based in the righteous altruism that
permeated his work but is now something simply applied to forward a
political agenda.

The most bewildering aspect is not the prominent display of his
abandonment of principle. No. In fact, the glaring offense of Suzuki's
recent political machination is the outright hypocrisy of his thinly
veiled political overture in catering to the success of our country's
ultra conservative governments. The governing apparatus of the single
largest detriment to our environment - Corporations - now holds sway
over the country's leading voice for the health of the planet. It is
beyond the pale Suzuki can now be considered an advocate for the
anti-thesis of the environment. I guess he has taken the lead from
another prominent environmentalist named Patrick Moore who has traded in
his well earned environmental credential and political capital for
corporate reward while green-washing their agenda. Suzuki's hypocrisy is
in full regalia when he relentlessly attacks a well reasoned position of
opposition to the Campbell Carbon Tax while staying comparatively silent
on Prime Minister Harper's relentless attack on Dion's Carbon Tax. Whats
up with that?

In British Columbia we have a government that has not met a wealth
transfer policy it did not like, so much so, it is willing to abandon
it's original election plank of tax cuts and no new taxes in favour of,
what can only be described as, a smoke and mirrors tax scheme that dumps
the financial load of big emitters onto the people while simultaneously
shaming us into living as church mice. Campbell's Tax will see big
emitters let off-the-hook while average people pay dearly and more and
more, year after year. Where is the moral outrage to this reverse Robin
Hood tax scheme that many prominent environmental thinkers believe will
have little if any positive impact on emissions while only playing
rhetorical service to the environment?

Where is Suzuki's outcry against the Harper Government's incessant drive
to prop up the world's largest environmental disaster masquerading as
'wealth creation' in the Tar Sands? How come no pithy quotes like, " Oil
Sands 'Wealth' My Ass!" Where is the outrage with the conservative
politicians in both BC and Canada with respect to the abandonment of
KYOTO and the business as usual approach actually practiced by our
conservative governments? Someone please tell me why does Suzuki save
his moral indignation for a struggling opposition party simply trying to
improve both the environment and our quality of life by calling
Campbell's Tax what it is - A Green Shaft - while offering a well
reasoned alternative for the consideration of voters in the upcoming
election which, by the way, is nothing less than their responsibility as
an opposition party.

The notion of pricing carbon is a good one. We need to take measures to
improve our standard of life and quality of living in the long run by
doing the right thing and burning less fossil fuels. Campbell's Carbon
scheme does not have this affect and people are completely disillusioned
with environmentalists green-washing the wealth transfer policies of
Gordon Campbell. Finally, I for one am deeply disturbed with Suzuki's
notorious shades of green now inexplicably altered into deceptive shades
of blue. It is to weep."

thanks Kevin

Al Gore: the very convenient salesman

Let me say, I will always heap disdain on a war profiteer. They earn every bit of it. Profiting off of the misery inflicted on humanity through warfare is the bastion of scumbags.

How about a profiteer of another sort of misery?

How about a profiteer, that will reap the rewards, off of the hardship, impoverishment, misery and control of society, made possible by the carbon credit and carbon card schemes?

Al Gore seems just to be that type of profiteer!

Here I was yesterday, just minding my own business, and listening to the What Really Happened Show with Michael Rivero , over at GCN, and he said Al Gore was chairman of the company that stood to profit from this green scam of carbon credits and trading. WHAT?! This passing comment, sent me digging. Here is what I found.

Generation Investment Management LLP

"Generation is an independent, private, owner-managed partnership established in 2004 and with offices in London and Washington, D.C."

~Note the timing this investment firm was established.

"Generation has built a global research platform to integrate sustainability research into fundamental equity analysis. We focus on the economic, environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities that can materially affect a company's ability to sustain profitability and deliver returns. Our research plays an important role in forming our views on the quality of the business, the quality of management, and valuation."

"Our Advisory Board, convened by our Chairman the Hon. Al Gore, helps set our long-term thematic research agenda into global sustainability issues, including climate change, poverty and development, ecosystem services and biodiversity, water scarcity, pandemics, demographics and migration, and urbanization."

They have built a "global research platform", they have a "research agenda"?
What exactly does this mean?

Let's look at the founders shall we? From their own information.

The firm was created in 2004 by six founding Partners:

  • Hon. Al Gore is Chairman;
  • David Blood, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, is Managing Partner;
  • Mark Ferguson, previously co-Head of Pan-European Research at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and a Global Equities Portfolio Manager, is Chief Investment Officer;
  • Peter Harris, previously head of International Operations for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, is Chief Operating Officer;
  • Peter S. Knight, formerly Managing Director Met West Financial, lawyer, Chief of Staff for Senator Al Gore (D-TN) from 1977-1989, and Campaign Manager for President Clinton's successful re-election in 1996, is President of Generation U.S.; and
  • Colin le Duc, previously Director of Research for SAM Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich and strategy consultant for Arthur D. Little in London, is Head of Research.

Our Chairman, former Vice President Al Gore, has assembled Generation's Advisory Board which consists of global leaders and thinkers from capital markets, industry, sustainability, economics, and geopolitical fields. The Advisory Board plays an important part in establishing our long-term thematic research agenda into global sustainability issues, such as poverty, climate change, ecosystem services, biodiversity, pandemics, demographics, migration, public policy and responsible lobbying.

There it is again "research agenda" Since this is an investment firm , it goes without saying, what they are "researching", is the ability to MAKE MONEY. From poverty and climate change, and there it is ECO-SYSTEM SERVICES

"Eco-System services" is obviously the carbon card, carbon trading schemes that every government, world wide, is trying to shove down people throats!

Remember the date this investment firm was established? 2004!

Now what year did the movie "Inconvenient Truth" come out? It came out in 2006!!

Wow, how convenient for Al Gore's investment firm is that??
He comes out with the film, that benefits the investment firm he founded!! Timing? Luck?
I don't think so. How about marketing. The marketing of a product? With Al Gore as the front man, the consumate salesman,
That is sure what it looks like to me.
For christsakes how obvious does this stuff get?!
When does it ever stop surprising me?

I have previously written on this subject, carbon cards, carbon trading, enforced austerity, controlled lifestyle, just click on the tag at the bottom of this post and they will all come up.

Unencumbered by wars, Russia has been busy.....

As soon as I read the headline, it was clear. This is an obvious response to the "defensive" missiles the US wants in Europe, I mean"new Europe" as Donald Rumsfeld called it.

‘Russia may base planes in Cuba’
July 21: Russian nuclear weapons-armed strategic bombers could return to Cuba in response to the US plans to deploy its national missile defence shield (NMD) in Central and Eastern Europe, a media report said on Monday.

"While they are deploying the missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, our strategic bombers will be landing in Cuba," a highly placed Russian Air Force source was quoted as saying by Izvestia daily.

The US Response: US general warns Russia on nuclear bombers in Cuba

Now come on here, what did the US really expect? Increased Vodka drinking? This ain't the Yeltsin government!

The arms producers world wide, must be postively giddy at the thought of the taxpayer funded orgy of profits. Oh baby!

Now what else is going on?

Russia and Venezuela. Oh yeah!

I liked this headline: Russia and Venezuela forge ties and poke a finger in US eye

Russia and Venezuela reinforced their relationship yesterday as Hugo Chávez, the president, arrived in Moscow to sign arms and energy deals and establish a binational bank.

"I have great hopes we will be able to continue building our strategic alliance," Mr Chávez said after landing in Moscow, emphasising co-operation on oil and gas and military technology. "The deals will guarantee the sovereignty of Venezuela, which is being threatened by the United States."

See, this is what happens when countries (US) try to overthrow democratically elected leaders (Chavez) through trumped up coups, that play out so fancifully in western media, well to the gullible anyway. Think : enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Is that all the news with Russia?

Well the whole Georgia/Abkhazia issue is ongoing.
Germany is now involved in that one. I don't get the impression Georgia is liking the proposals. Interesting take on that situation here

Georgia has to keep in mind that Germany gets it's gas from Russia. Oh, that can be a problem.

The "special relationship" between Russia and Germany over energy supplies is both a challenge to European Union integration and an invitation to get serious about it, says Dieter Helm.

"Russia is the key to energy security. The dash-for-gas as the preferred fuel for electricity generation makes gas, rather than oil, the priority; and gas is cheaper through pipelines than shipped around the world in tankers for LNG. Russia has the pipeline gas that Europe needs. It is not just that Europe has a growing dependency on Russian gas supplies; but also that Russia has a powerful hand in influencing and controlling some of the major pipeline supply options - in particular, in the Caspian and the Caucasus. The other sources for European gas - Algeria and Libya - can watch the Russian moves and benefit from the higher prices and insecurity that result, and Norway, with its small population and more money than it can possibly spend, can husband its resources and enjoy the price level"
The US is, I am certain painfully aware of this.

There is just one more news item to go, one that may concern Canadians in particular.
Flashback: Mr Harper had already told Canadians that the Artic was the priority.
That was in October/2007 Read that here.

One of the concerns cited was : "to take action to vigorously protect our Arctic sovereignty as international interest in the region increases"

Then while perusing through the news, as I do, this just jumps out at me!
Russian navy boosts combat presence in Arctic

Global Warming Has Ended – The Next Climate Change to A Pronounced Cold Era Has Begun?

The Space and Science Research Center Issues A Formal Declaration:

“After an exhaustive review of a substantial body of climate research, and in conjunction with the obvious and compelling new evidence that exists, it is time that the world community acknowledges that the Earth has begun its next climate change. In an opinion echoed by many scientists around the world, the Space and Science Research Center (SSRC), today declares that the world’s climate warming of the past decades has now come to an end. A new climate era has already started that is bringing predominantly colder global temperatures for many years into the future. In some years this new climate will create dangerously cold weather with significant ill-effects world wide. Global warming is over – a new cold climate has begun.”

I have heard this theory before that it was the sun that had been heating things up on the planet. Here is another article on this topic.

This is an older article from over a year ago, March 2007, but in both articles it seems Sun activity is indicated to be the culprit.

Sun Blamed for Warming of Earth and Other Worlds

Abdussamatov told LiveScience in an email interview last week. “The considerable heating and cooling on the Earth and on Mars always will be practically parallel.

Earth is heating up lately, but so are Mars, Pluto and other worlds in our , leading some scientists to speculate that a change in the sun’s activity is the common thread linking all these baking events.
Habibullo Abdussamatov, the head of space research at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, recently linked the attenuation of ice caps on Mars to fluctuations in the sun's output. Abdussamatov also blamed solar fluctuations for Earth’s current global warming trend. His initial comments were published online by National Geographic News. “Man-made greenhouse warming has [made a] small contribution [to] the warming on Earth in recent years, but [it] cannot compete with the increase in solar irradiance,”

Other warming worlds

Benny Peiser, a social anthropologist at Liverpool John Moores University who monitors studies and news reports of asteroids, global warming and other potentially apocalyptic topics, recently quoted in his daily electronic newsletter the following from a blog called Strata-Sphere: Global warming on Neptune's moon Triton as well as Jupiter and Pluto, and now Mars has some [scientists] scratching their heads over what could possibly be in common with the warming of all these planets ... Could there be something in common with all the planets in our solar system that might cause them all to warm at the same time?”

The Maunder Minimum

This is not to say that solar fluctuations never influence Earth’s climate in substantial ways. During a 75-year period beginning in 1645, astronomers detected almost no sunspot activity on the Sun. Called the “Maunder Minimum,” this event coincided with the coldest part of the Little Ice Age, a 350-year cold spell that gripped much of Europe and North America.

Iran discovers oil field

This news story ties in nicely with the interview and article I posted yesterday.

"Iran has discovered an oil field with in-place reserves of 525 million barrels, Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari was quoted as saying on Sunday.

The discovery was made near the southern port city of Assaluyeh, state broadcaster IRIB said, without giving further details.

"A few other oil fields have also been discovered about which the public will be informed in the coming weeks," Nozari said.

It came a week after Nozari announced the discovery of an oil field holding an estimated 233 million barrels of recoverable sweet oil and in-place reserves of 1.1 billion barrels in the oil-rich southwestern province of Khuzestan."

"Terminator" technology for humans with discovery of gene key to ovulation?

This was in the news yesterday. Blocked gene key to ovulation, study finds

There were a number of news article regarding this discovery and what a breakthrough it is.

"Researchers at the University of Montreal discovered how a gene, known as Lrh1, plays an essential role in regulating ovulation and possibly fertilization"

"This discovery means we can envision new contraceptives that selectively stop ovulation,"

In their study, scientists "blocked" the gene from cells in the ovaries of genetically modified mice, he said. By removing the gene, they learned hormones were disrupted, preventing eggs from maturing and effectively stopping ovulation.

In all the articles, this was being pitched as a really wonderful discovery, that sometime down the road, can aid in all sorts of infertility issues. Of course, it can be just that.

But, where there is good, there is always bad. None of that was mentioned, of course.

Now the first thing that came to my mind was the patenting of modified genes in plant life, and one in particular came to mind.
The Terminator technology: which turns off a plants ability to reproduce itself, in other words, sterility. Brief little article here on Terminator technology, including link to a larger report.

Researchers report that deleting the newly discovered gene, they had "completely blocked ovulation".

In other words Terminator technology for humans.

Yes, I know I am simplifying, but, in essence this is the same science, wether plants or people it is the inability to reproduce, blocked via genetic manipulations.

Now, let's take this further, with one vision.

An inoculation (vaccine) to suppress this gene, and effectively render any number of people sterile. Pitched as an environmentally friendly solution to the problem of world over-population and climate change, food shortages etc.,

Interesting take on the entire Iran/US/Israel throw in Russia, just a great overview.

If I may.... a good read and an excellent interview!

First the good read:

Iran: War or Privatization: All Out War or "Economic Conquest"?

Then the interview with Guns & Butters' own Bonnie Faulkner.

"We discuss Iran's privatization program, U.S. war propaganda, Plan TYRANT, Congressional Resolution 362, the National Intelligence Estimate, dissent within the military, currency speculation, Russia, China, the police state and war agenda."

I am going to listen again!

Britian- breeding ground for overzealous state intervention ?

What is it about Britian and the British that allow this type of stuff to go on?

I don't think that any other country has YET enacted this level of "state intervention" to keep it's citizens controlled. Note I said, YET, I am sure the US, Canada, Australia and others are working ever diligently towards oppressing and controlling their populations also.
Oh sorry, can't believe I said that, I mean, I am sure all these countries really wants there citizens "safe and secure". Like, in a prison, with walls that can't be seen and the paranoid individual reinforces them daily.

Just a few news stories are enough to give pause for thought:

Feb/2008 Parents get new sex crime checks

June /2008-Millions must be on vetting list
then we end up with more scenarios like this:
Grandmother questioned after taking five-year-old to the park

May 2008-Phone calls database considered

which leads to
July15th/2008'Big Brother' database of all phone calls and emails condemned by watchdog

I simply don't know how parents raised kids for thousands of years and how the human race endured and thrived with out all these "necessities".

What exactly is the need for a database of every phone call, text message and email ??

“The changes to the way we communicate, due particularly to the internet revolution, will increasingly undermine our current capabilities to obtain communications data - essential for counter-terrorism and investigation of crime purpose - and use it to protect the public.

oh look, it's to keep you safe, of course. ;)

If your gullible enough to believe that, I have a bridge I would like to sell you

With much thanks to B, who stumbled on this link, it is clear that "Muslims against Sharia" henceforth, to be known on my blog as Manipulators against Sharia have been previously exposed.

Meet Ezra’s New Non-Muslim “Muslim” Friends!

(Glad to know, there are others with functioning bullshit meters.)

And lo and behold, it's the same behaviour as here.

Manipulators against Sharia, supporters of censorship, spreaders of hate, mongers of war.

Khalim Massoud-(muslims against sharia) camera shy or agoraphobic?

Khalim Massoud- to my suprise, or not, never appears in public.
That is the claim that is made.

From the Libertarian Republican Blog:
Editor's Note - This interview was conducted by our Senior Editor Andrew Murhpy with great care for security. Khalim Massoud does not appear in public nor permit interviews at public forums, for fear of death threats from Radical Muslim extremists. We are thankful that Mr. Massoud took such risk to talk with LR Blog."

To be sure he get's around, FrontPage Magazine most notably, lots of blog interviews.

Who is Khalim Massoud then? I mean even someone as high profile as Salman Rushdie appears in public. Hell, he is certainly far more recognizeable to a greater audience then Khalim Massoud.

If this is in fact correct, does anyone really know who Kalim Massoud is? Is he even Muslim?
Is he a fictitious namesake, managed by any number of , oh I don't know, bloggers associated with his site?

Even more 'pressing', how does he get his groceries? Or buy clothes? Does he have a personal shopper? What if in the middle of the night he has a 'hankering' for something, does he call someone to get it for him?

Muslims against Sharia: a motley crew

This is going to be a long, long post, and I do apologize in advance, so grab a coffee, tea, or whatever, hell, have a drink if you must to get through this one.
Enjoy the opening musical act: Journey to the Centre of Your Mind

Come along if you care
Come along if you dare
Take a ride to the land inside of your mind

Beyond the seas of thought
Beyond the realm of what
Across the streams of hopes and dreams where things are really not.

Cause this is all soooooo not what it seems !!!!!!

Let's start at the beginning, shall we?
I post the Omar Khadr video and get this crazy reaction? who and why?

This is what brought this crew from 'Muslims against Sharia' here, and yes it appears to be minimally a crew of two.

A MOTLEY crew of two. Now, motley can mean two things, one is a haphazard assortment of things or people that somehow become a group. The other is a Jesters' traditional costume.

As we already know, from my previous post the assortment of bloggers from MAS, is indeed a motley crew, but then it is said, that politics makes for strange bedfellows. MAS is clearly a political group, with the intention of swaying the opinions, by using fear, of the great unwashed masses, which this motley bunch of political opportunists has a great deal of disdain for.

The disdain is clear, MAS, is going to tell you what to think, how to think and what to be afraid of.
Because, little darlings, your to stupid to realize on your own!

But, why do I say that? It wasn't just that I had posted the Omar Khadr video, it was that I didn't condemn Omar Khadr in my commentary, when I posted the video. One of the comments left yesterday, but sadly deleted, was indicative that was the issue. Someone was having a 'non-acceptable' opinion!! Out comes the Motley crew from MAS, the over the top comments, profanity filled, just horrendous stuff really, from a "serious" group, committed to their "cause"?

Well, yes indeed, if the cause REALLY is to bully, intimidate, spread fear, silence different opinions and manage perceptions

That is what Muslims Against Sharia is really about. How else to explain the behaviour?

Yesterday, in the comments section, MAS, left a long answer and I have left it there, since it was written by the better behaved member of the crew. But rather then end with just that, we have a link to FEAR. Look at this and be afraid. Fear, fear, fear.

Well, whoever wants to look be my guest, I just want to address the long answer here:

"As soon as the Gitmo interrogation tape of Omar Khadr hit the Internet, the blogosphere was flooded with demands to repatriate him to Canada. This wave is reminiscent of a Soviet campaign to free Luis Corvalán from the "fascist regime" of Augusto Pinochet thirty five years ago."

Do you notice the quotations around fascist regime?? The writer of this piece clearly does not acknowledge that the Pinochet regime of Chile was just that, a despicable murderous fascist regime. Interesting? The masses of Chileans thought him a murderer, the elites of course backed by their US counterparts did not, going so far as to aid him in his bloody take over coup. Draw your own conclusions.

The "repatriate Khadr" crowd describes him as "a child", "a kid", "a boy", and even "a torture victim", with no facts to substantiate the torture claims notwithstanding.

That is not the case at all, but, I will draw the attention of MAS to the case of one Specialist Joshua R. Claus

What a special fellow, the kind I am sure MAS, has awarded some kind of perverse "justice" award to, and if they haven't already, they soon will.

But, why mention Joshua R Claus? Because he was assigned to Omar Khadr. And, get this "the military had promised immunity to one of Khadr's main interrogators for possible abuses against the Canadian while he was held at the Bagram detention centre in Afghanistan before being transferred to Gunatanamo Bay." Not proof, but, certainly damming.

"Let's forget for a second that Omar Khadr killed Christopher Speer."

Indeed, let's forget that entirely, because as of this moment Omar Khadr stands accused not convicted, so to assume this is wrong. Of course there is the fact that "Friendly fire might have killed U.S. medic, not Khadr: " Or that the Pentagon may have altered a report
Or that the Pentagon fired a credible the judge
Or that Khadr, was not the only one left alive at the scene, but the other survivor was summarily executed at the scene.

"The officer confirms that there were two individuals alive in the compound after a hand grenade was allegedly thrown."

To the defence team, the officer describes in his diary how he saw R not only kill, but possibly execute, the second al-Qaida suspect. The officer also admits to being on the verge of ordering "R," who is identified as being an army private, to effectively execute Khadr.

Since such acts would contravene the laws of war, the defence suggests the officer and the private had reason to later tell - or surrender to a request to tell - a different story about what happened during the firefight."

Somehow, MAS forgot all those FACTS. Instead MAS chooses to play emotional games using the family of the medic as their pawns to do so. When all that really can be said is, he was killed under questionable circumstances.

Ahhh, but by playing emotional games, MAS, can manipulate people, like the good propagandist group that they are. " The goal of propaganda is control over culture through influencing people vis a vis thought, feeling and action. The use of emotional manipulation is common."

But, wait a minute, MAS, who claims to be promoting, anything except "sharia law" , must therefore endorse western democratic law? NO, they seem to "flip the bird" to all LAW, the law of the land, human rights, International Law, etc.,

So what kind of law does MAS support, not democratic, not sharia, then what?
Well if the comment on the Pinochet government is any indicator?

Now these people understand law:

Re: Omar Khadr: Duty of Canadian government to protect the rights of Canadian citizen Omar Khadr imprisoned by U.S. authorities since July 2002 -- first in Afghanistan and, since November 2002, in Guantánamo Bay.

ok, back to the comment from MAS:

"Let's forget that Khadr's father was an al Qaeda financier."

Alleged, but then he is dead, so anyone can say whatever they want.

Let's forget that Khadr's family is known for it being al Qaeda sympathizers.

I am sure that lots of people, such as MAS bloggers, hold all sorts of weird sympathies, hey whatever floats your boat!

Let's just remember what this "child" was fighting for in Afghanistan.

Another assumption, since, one doesn't know what this child was fighting for, or if he was even fighting, who knows, really?

Now, and finally, back to the second meaning of motley, from way back at the beginning, the Jesters traditional costume. The behaviour exhibited by MAS, is that of a Jester, an entertaining buffoon providing a diversion from reality.

I wanna dedicate this song to the 'watchers' everywhere.

wasting time, on the taxpayers dime ???

Muslims against Sharia = Neocons are us Pt2. No question in my mind.

Muslims against Sharia:

Let's go through the numerous comments you left here, all containing foul language.
Some of them I had to delete as they were so profane.
What kind of person resorts to this? Lowering themselves to such a level?

"The fact that you are bitching about the terrorist scum not being pampered enough is fucking pathetic."

No one of sane or rational mind, would do that.

While this may be difficult for you to comprehend, I will try to explain, in the simplest of terms.
Omar Khadr has not been convicted of any crime, there in fact has not even been a trial!
Therefore as logic should follow, it cannot be said with any certainty that Omar Khadr is a terrorist.

You then respond again in kind with this comment:
"We are sorry we do not conform to your Muslim stereotypes. Starting tomorrow, we'll institute daily beheadings to combat the Neocon designation."

I hate to break it to you, I do not have stereotypes, don't use them, don't adhere to them, don't believe in them. Clearly you do.
Your response says that all, in fact your entire site says it all.

Then you resort to name calling! Ah, weakness at it's most obvious. I am not surprised at all.
Do you know why I consider name calling a sure sign of weakness?
It is an indicator, that you have nothing in the way of intellect, are incapable of rational discussion and are therefore forced to resort to brutishness. It shows an empty hand.

Still, I should thank-you for a few things.

Thank-you for confirming my suspicions as correct!
Thank-you for showing your true colours!

You have thrown more dirt on yourself, then anyone else could have ever dug up on you.

The Pope in Australia- what a show!

Wowee, the Pope is in Australia, what a show for the followers!

The devout, the shrieking, the pomp and circumstance and the Police State type laws passed to not annoy the pilgrims. Say What!?

You read it right.

Under the laws, protesters could be arrested or fined A$5,500 (US$5,340) for wearing anti-Catholic T-shirts or for handing out condoms in protest at church doctrine on sex and marriage.

Thankfully these heavy-handed laws were challenged and deemed unconstitutional.

"A federal court has thrown out laws banning protestors from causing "annoyance" to people taking part in the Roman Catholic church's youth festival in Australia. Critics say the laws were too severe and unnecessary. From Sydney, Phil Mercer reports.

The new laws were brought in recently by the New South Wales state leader Morris Iemma, in an attempt to limit protests against the pope's visit during the festival. The state government passed them without discussion or debate.

Apparently, the Pope is going to apologize for abuse perpetuated by Priests
Which will amount to a whole lot of nothing except, the true believers will feel better for it, the Church will continue on covering up and paying hush money.

But, what I find really interesting is the Pope is going to speak on Global Warming, or Climate change as it is now being called. I am deeply suspicious of this kind of talk coming from the Pope.
Why? I see the Pope as political tool, first and foremost, in the guise of a religious leader. This kind of talk coming from him makes that even more obvious.
