Canadian and Afghan people sharing the misery

When thinking about the story I posted yesterday, as I like to humourously call it -Tories flip the bird to Canadians.

Keep this in mind- Majority of Canadian employees living paycheque to paycheque, survey shows . Therefore, while the governing Tories tell Canadians it is none of their business how the tax dollars are being spent in Afghanistan..... Canadians are having a harder time surviving.

"Nearly 60 per cent of Canadians would have trouble paying the bills if their paycheque was delayed by one week, a new polls suggests."

Then think about this-

The Afghan people wonder what has democracy done for them ?

Well, it is pretty obvious it hasn't done much of anything, nor was that the intention.

The invasion of Afghanistan was for the energy bridge, the gateway, the strategic position of Afghanistan in the war for control of energy. Oh, and the opium.

Read TAPI pipeline construction, and previous posts on opium production, or this

Here is a simple little map of the pipeline

Except the pipeline now extends to India, so just draw the line through Pakistan to India.

( An aside: Now you understand the attacks in Pakistan?)

Sorry for rambling......
To summarize, as Canadians get poorer, unable to support themselves, as jobs leave their 'government' says too bad for you.
The lives of the Afghan people are made more miserable, unable to support themselves and their 'government' says too bad for you too!
