Happy Halloween! Strange days indeed.

The Doors - Strange Days

Matt-Dave [UNK, The Beast] | MySpace Video

"Vaccine phobia runs deep" because your irrational.

That's right!

When I got up today and contemplated my blog post for the day, I thought to myself
-Do not blog on swine flu! Let it go for a day or so. But, dammit, I can't!
Why? Because of the morning newspaper!
This article Vaccine phobia runs deep just burnt me up.

The very title of the article is intended to portray the concern over vaccine usage as irrational, hence the use of the word phobia. If the article wanted to portray legitimate concerns with anything other then derision, words such as "concern", or "uneasy" could have been used. But since that was not the intent of the article, the writer or someone chose derogatory terminology.

The opening cheap shot:
"Canada is in the midst of its largest-ever mass immunization campaign and, these days, people naturally turn to the Internet for information, or what passes for it"

Or what passes for it, means simply this is not credible information, it is just something that passes for it. Pretends to be credible. Better to get your info from msm or the government, because they do not lie or misinform, ever.

Then she quotes this statement as information available on line, "or what passes for it."

They will learn a variety of things. For example:

1) That vaccines are flat-out dangerous because they're chock-full of toxins; mercury, formaldehyde, aluminium, and such like.

Let's go to the closing paragraph, which of course no one is going to read, or very few people, save for me read to the end.

For the record: The H1N1 vaccine – named Arepanrix by manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline – doesn't contain a live virus but "antigens" that trick the immune system into thinking it's been attacked and help produce anti-bodies. It also contains two "adjuvants," agents that stimulate the immune system: vitamin E and the organic compound squalene from fish oil. Minute amounts of thimerisol, a mercury-containing preservative, and aluminium are in it too.
Do you notice that first paragraph of "what passes for information" is correct? Mercury and aluminum are indeed in the shots. Does Lynda Hurst wonder at the cumulative effects of these toxins in the body? Apparently not.

See, it's not that bad Lynda Hurst soothes us . GSK admits it has mercury, aluminum, two experimental adjuvants (which she fails to mention) and she forgot the formaldehyde.

Here is a link to an Arepanrix Information Pamphlet by GSK. That is the H1N1 vaccine.
And here is the formaldehyde mentioned in the pamphlet:

"The virus is inactivated with ultraviolet light treatment followed by formaldehyde treatment"

Oh and in between the labelling and ridicule we have the esteemed Dr. David Butler Jones claiming "People make up the facts". Yeah, sure they do!
The reality is you don't have to make this stuff up!

The experimental adjuvant is ASO3. "Adjuvant: DL-α-tocopherol 11.86 milligrams/0.5mL dose Squalene 10.69 milligrams/0.5mL dose, Polysorbate 80 4.86 milligrams/0.5mL dose
Squalene, Squalene, Squalene.

The adjuvant ASO3 was not tested along with the H1N1 vaccine for useage with children, it was tested with the H5N1 vaccine. GSK admits that in their own literature, though I have written on that previously. Their dosage recomendations are not even based on the mix of H1N1 vaccine and ASO3 adjuvants. GSK acknowledges that also.
The dose recommendations are largely based on:

• safety and immunogenicity data available on the administration of AS03-adjuvanted vaccine containing 3.75 μg HA derived from A/Indonesia/5/2005 (H5N1) (Arepanrix™ H5N1) at 0 and 21 days to adults, including the elderly

• safety and immunogenicity data available on the administration of the adult dose and half of the adult dose to children aged from 3-9 years with anotherAS03-adjuvanted vaccine containing 3.75 μg HA derived from A/Vietnam/1194/2004 (H5N1) at 0 and 21 days
• limited
I say largely because there was one limited study done with ASO3 and H1n1, done only on adults.

• limited immunogenicity data from 2 studies obtained three weeks after administration of a single dose of an investigational formulation of another AS03-adjuvanted H1N1 vaccine containing either 5.25 μg or 3.75 μg HA derived from A/California/7/2009 (H1N1) (Pandemrix™) to healthy adults aged 18-60 years

Therefore the dosage recommendations for children are based on a different vaccine.

Nothing has to be "made up" by anyone. All the facts are available.

But, how dare you make your own decision in your own best interests! How dare you want to chose and control the amount of known toxins in your own body? How dare you want to think for yourself, and not follow the herd. How dare you not listen to Lynda Hurst as she derides legitimate concerns. Your concerns are not legitimate, your just an irrational phobic prone delusional nutjob!

ESWI advising German government backed by 10 pharmaceutical companies

Epidemiologist Luc Bonneaux says ESWI is a lobby group "that has as much to do with science as McDonald's with healthy nutrition."

Can we say conflict of interest?

One revealing case is that of an organization called the European Scientific Working Group on Influenza (ESWI), operating under Belgian law with the goal of raising public awareness of the dangers of an influenza pandemic.

The group says it brings together scientific "key opinion leaders in influenza." The sole financial backers are 10 pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline -- manufacturer of the German swine flu vaccine -- and Roche -- producer of the antiviral drug Tamiflu.

The group also enlisted Walter Haas as one of its scientific advisors. Haas coordinates Germany's flu pandemic preparedness measures at the Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI), the federal institute for disease research.

ESWI portrays itself as an independent group of scientists. But even the organization's own statute tells a different story, describing its role as advising politicians and health authorities on "the benefits and safety of influenza vaccines and antivirals" and initiating "a policy for antiviral provisions."

Yup, it is a lobby for pharmaceutical corporations!

The difference between Seasonal and H1N1 influenza?

What exactly is the difference? There has to be something different, right? Given the over the top media coverage with "Breaking News" segments to keep us "up to the minute" informed. Repeatedly using the word pandemic, pandemic, pandemic, like a mantra.

I thought I would use the Health Canada Preparedness Guide to figure out just what is the difference between the seasonal flu and h1n1.
The following information helps to explain the difference between the H1N1 flu and seasonal flu.
" This is a new strain of influenza". It is claimed "humans have little or no immunity to" and that it can cause "serious and widespread illness"

Now let's read about seasonal flu:

Seasonal Flu: is also an"influenza". It is a "highly contagious, respiratory disease" "Influenza viruses can change rapidly. That's why there's a "new flu shot made every year" to protect against the circulating virus strains"

They are both influenza's. They are both contagious, both able to cause widespread illness.
No difference yet.

Maybe this? "Having little or no natural immunity for H1N1". No difference there either.
With seasonal flu, every year we have a different strain, "viruses change rapidly". And a different vaccine is required to contend with that strain,"new flu shot made every year".
So I would presume there is little to no natural immunity to seasonal flu virus either?
I am getting disheartened, still no difference.

Maybe the symptoms are different. Yes, yes that has to be it!
Page 6 of the guide: Symptoms of the Flu virus (H1N1 and seasonal).
What! They're the same symptoms!!! Cough and fever, Fatigue and Headache, Muscle Aches, Decreased Appetite, Sore Throat, Runny Nose, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea

Try as the guide may to portray H1N1 as something different, it ends up looking like just another influenza virus, and we get one of those every flu season.

There is one thing that is different though when reading Page 7:

"Seasonal influenza is a serious illness that infects millions of Canadians yearly. It is estimated that 2,000- 8,000 people die yearly from Influenza".
I am going to repeat this, so it sinks in.
2,000-8,000 Canadians die EVERY YEAR from Influenza".
Including " mostly seniors, children and those with chronic health problems"

This means on average 5,000 Canadians die every year from Influenza, every single year.

Well there is the difference! To date in Canada, through two waves of the H1N1 influenza outbreak, their have been 89 deaths. Every year in Canada the average death toll from seasonal influenza is 5,000 deaths. Why don't we hear about them, repeatedly? Are 89 deaths a pandemic, but 5000 deaths somehow not a pandemic? Are those Canadian deaths from an influenza virus that is not H1N1 somehow less tragic? And, before anyone say's "how dare you" make such a statement, I will say to you -that is the way it appears to be.
I am sure the people that have died from seasonal influenza were special to their family and friends, the people that love, cherish and miss them. But to the main stream media and government? These seasonal influenza victims barely garner any attention. They are and were cleary substantially less important. When a child died previously of seasonal influenza did it get any coverage at all? Is the media present to shove their microphones in the face of a grieving parent and sensationalize the tragedy? Not that I have ever seen. And, every single year there are seasonal flu clinics. But does the news media sit outside of them to report on the line-ups? Not that I have ever seen.
There are always out breaks of influenza in hospitals, every single year. It usually gets local news coverage which is necessary. But, does it get national news coverage? I don't think so.

89 h1n1 deaths every one of them tragic, especially to their loved ones, but more tragic then 5,000 average yearly deaths? More deserving of hype and 'preparedness guides'? The overblown news coverage complete with breaking news reports? The coverage from the flu clinics and the bashing of the health care system? Or is this being all done to create a vicious cycle of fear that justifies the tax dollars being used to enrich the pharmaceutical and media companies?

Manson & the Crushing of the Counter Culture Movement

Interesting to all the Laurel Canyon fans, also relevant to the "Programmed to Kill" book, by the same author, David McGowan.

An interesting interview, Mae Brussel, is available here.

"Charles Manson and the Crushing of the Counter Culture" with researcher and broadcaster, Mae Brussell. Originally aired in October 1971 on her radio program, Dialogue: Assassination, this show reveals Manson as a patsy and analyzes the so-called Manson murders as a premeditated political massacre designed to destroy the social and political revolution taking place in the late '60s.
Interesting interview, because it is right at the relevant time frame. It is like a snapshot at just the right moment.

Oh, and btw the website is very informative.

I found interesting the mention in the interview of the first 'opinion' piece in the main stream media, immediately preceding the murders, called "Did Hate kill Tate" written by Ed Butler.

Sadly, I could not find the article, I did however find some info on Ed Butler

Ed Butler, it seems, really got around. Besides writing propaganda, to attempt to initially frame the Black Panthers and or Communists for the Tate/LaBianca murders, he was also tied to the JFK assassination.

Ed Butler even used the fact, in his article that Roman Polanski, the man who has made so much news lately, had formerly resided in a communist country and perhaps this was why his wife was murdered........

BTW: Roman Polanski's victim asks court to drop charge against director

Obama's H1N1 Emergency Declaration see experimental drugs getting FDA approval

Anyone surprised? What side effects will these experimental drugs cause?

The first approval is Peramivir
President Obama Declares State of Emergency; FDA Lifts Limits on Experimental Anti-Viral Drug Peramivir

With more experimental drugs to come.

"The FDA could also approve other experimental meds, including Biota's laninamivir and T-705, or favipiravir, from Toyama Chemical. Researchers have late-stage data on laninamivir, in which a single dose performed as well as five days treatment with Tamiflu. Analysts also speculate that NexBio could eventually see an accelerated approval for FluDase, which stops the flu by blocking the body's molecular receptors. BioCryst, meanwhile, says it is completing production of approximately 130,000 courses of IV peramivir and is prepared to make more"

Within healthcare massive avoidable deaths hidden

In light of the swine flu 'pandemic', this seemed interesting, massive avoidable deaths hidden with the health care industry itself. How come this death toll is never addressed or barely even mentioned? Not sensational enough for the main stream media? The statistics say otherwise. In fact the preventable death toll is quite staggering. The figures should be shouted from rooftops!
However, this is not favourable to the medicine/pharmaceutical industry, it certainly won't increase sales, profits and stock options.

"Experts estimate that a staggering 98,000 people die from preventable medical errors each year. More Americans die each month of preventable medical injuries than died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

In addition, a federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study concluded that 99,000 patients a year succumb to hospital-acquired infections. Almost all of those deaths, experts say, also are preventable.

These numbers are not absolutes. There is no definitive study — which is part of the problem — but all of the available research indicates that the death toll from preventable medical injuries approaches 200,000 per year in the United States.

Ten years ago, a highly publicized federal report called the death toll shocking and challenged the medical community to cut it in half — within five years.

Instead, federal analysts believe the rate of medical error is actually increasing.

A national investigation by Hearst Newspapers found that the medical community, the federal government and most states have overwhelmingly failed to take the effective steps outlined in the report a decade ago.

Hearst also found that in states like California that have put some regulations in place, hospitals often ignore the rules without penalty.

Consequently, over that period, as many as 2 million Americans have died needlessly of preventable medical mistakes."

Why were these problems never addressed? I will bold the relevant section.

Back in November 1999, the report titled “To Err Is Human” was issued with the highest of hopes. Its authors believed it promised the start of a revolution in patient safety.

The report certainly sparked awareness of the scale of the problem. But some of its authors say the revolution was doomed by a lack of political leadership and the health care lobby's vested interest in maintaining business as usual, especially secrecy surrounding dangerous medical errors.

In other words, the healthcare industry, through their lobbyists ensured a lack of political leadership to address the problem.

The swine flu however is highly profitable. I wonder did the lobbyists ensure the political leadership addressed the H1N1 issue head on
Here is a just a sampling of headlines telling readers the pharmaceutical companies are reaping the benefits.

Novartis sees faster growth, H1N1 boost in Q4
It is turning out to be a better year for big drugmakers like Novartis than initially feared, thanks to hefty price increases and windfall sales from swine flu

Companies reap the swine flu windfall

Healthcare companies are reaping the benefits of a global swine flu pandemic, brightening what might otherwise have been a dismal third quarter and bringing new focus on the market for vaccines. (the market for vaccines, something to be sold to you, like a car)While swine flu has killed about 4,000 worldwide in 191 countries and send thousands home sick to suffer alone with its symptoms, the H1N1 swine flu virus may prove very lucrative for drug maker GlaxoSmithKline Plc. (GSK).

Dave McGowan Interview: Programmed to Kill

I came across this interview and thought I would share. I have the first six chapters of this book, Programmed to Kill, in the side bar of the blog.
The interview is more then two years old, but, it is worth a listen.
Particularly if you have become a recent 'devotee' of Dave's Laurel Canyon saga.
I have this book, I read this book, it is good, it is difficult....
Anyway, give a listen. I do hope you enjoy it.

VFTB 010: Dave McGowan — Programmed to Kill

State lifts limit on mercury preservative in swine-flu shots

Mercury is a poison, especially for pregnant women and small children, correct ?
In fact pregnant women are supposed to limit their consumption of tuna due to mercury contamination, correct?
Therefore, lifting the mercury limits of H1N1 vaccines for young children and pregnant women is also... correct?

In preparation for swine-flu vaccinations next month, the State's Health Department on Thursday temporarily suspended a rule that limits the amount of a mercury preservative in vaccines given to pregnant women and children under the age of 3.

The preservative, thimerosal, has never been linked to any health problems, said Secretary of Health Mary Selecky. But a vocal minority believes the compound could be linked to autism. The state Legislature adopted the limit in 2006.

This statement is not credible, especially when considering the next one.

Thimerosal has been eliminated from most vaccines in the United States, but it will be added to the bulk of the swine-flu vaccine being produced to stem a pandemic that health officials estimate could sicken more than a third of the state's residents.

Why would thimerosal have been eliminated if it was never linked to health problems?

Pregnant women and young children are considered at high risk for swine flu, and lifting the mercury limits will give them quicker access to the vaccine, Selecky said.

"It's vital that everyone in a high-risk group has the choice to be vaccinated when swine-flu vaccine becomes available," she said.

About 15 percent of the vaccine supply will be mercury-free, but people may have to wait longer for it to become available.

Vaccine flogging duo say naughty Canadians will ruin Christmas!!

The vaccine flogging duo of Dr. David Butler-Jones and federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq have been getting some heavy duty coverage as of late.
Though Canada has not (yet?) declared a state of emergency they have their vaccine flogging duo out in full force. While the main stream media dutifully reports every last word, every wild speculation and every bit of fear mongering without question. Let's see what the vaccine floggers are saying?

Some quotes from a couple of articles
If a majority of Canadians refuse the H1N1 vaccine, hospitals will be overrun by serious flu patients and many businesses will be strapped for staff by Christmas, Canada's chief public health officer Dr. David Butler-Jones warned Saturday.

Swine flu will be the grinch that will steal Christmas, with out an H1N1 vaccine! exclaimed David Butler-Jones.

Canadians who don't get vaccinated against H1N1 are needlessly putting themselves and others at risk, says federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq.
Canadians who refuse the vaccine are going on Santa's naughty list!

"I'm anxious to get it like everyone else because (H1N1) is out there and people are dying," said Aglukkaq."

She must have forgot that Canadians put themselves and others at risk all the time!!
Indeed, Canadians die from smoking (45,00 canadian yearly), car accidents (approximately 2,700), work related deaths ( 5 deaths a day, everyday) and every year from seasonal flu. (The worldwide total for seasonal flu related deaths is generally between 250,000 and 500,000 a year. ) And, with much less hysteria.
Those stats are much higher then the 83 deaths in Canada in total to date and the vast majority of swine flu cases being mild?

"People are coming out of the woods to be the experts on H1N1 -- no one is an expert on H1N1 because we've only known about it for the last seven months."

So no one is an expert? Not even the Federal Health Minister?
There is a revelation, a moment of candour?

I was already wondering, why is the government resorting to fear tactics to strong arm the populace in this situation?

Is it because they have already spent almost half a billion dollars on this vaccine, and they have to justify this tax dollar expenditure? A tax expenditure that has been very profitable to big pharmaceutical business at a time when their profits were declining?

Then this!

Sweeping ad campaign in works to urge Canadians to get H1N1 shot

The Public Health Agency of Canada has already spent millions of dollars informing Canadians about the H1N1 virus and how to avoid infection.

The agency topped up its marketing budget this month to $8.5-million, which is being spent on newspaper and public transit ads and radio spots that began airing recently.

more money being spent!

At a time when mass media could use the advertising revenue.

Is this a 'bail-out of sorts for Canwest? Since Canwest/Global has lobbied the Conservative government for just such an action??

Look, Canadians are a smart lot. Wouldn't they know if a pandemic was on going?

Wouldn't they be aware of the very sick and all the dead?

Wouldn't it be obvious to them? So obvious that an ad campaign would not be necessary?

Obama declares swine flu a "National Emergency"

This news just breaking.

President Obama Signs Emergency Declaration for H1N1 Flu

What is REALLY going on here? Why this action?
There realistically appears to be no legitimate need for this action.
For "411 confirmed deaths and over 8,000 hospitalizations, according to the Centers for Disease Control " in the US?
Keeping in mind the population of the US is over 300 million.
A national State of Emergency?
The swine flu facts have not been anywhere equal to the swine flu hype.
There has been alot of resistance to the vaccine, likely more then was expected.

Yet,this National Emergency declaration is expected too

The declaration could sharply increase demand for the vaccine, which is becoming available much more slowly than originally expected.
Is that the reason?
Like some kind of creepy mass marketing ploy?
Using fear to scare people into taking a vaccine?

Or is it more insidious then even that?
Keeping in mind, this:

“When the President formally declares a national emergency, he may seize property, organize and control the means of production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, institute martial law, seize and control all transportation and communication, regulate the operation of private enterprise, restrict travel and, in a variety of ways, control the lives of United States citizens,”

What rights are going to be restricted?
Will this 'state of emergency' tactic spread to other countries?
I am concerned there is more to this then meets the eye.

Arsenal of Hypocrisy- NASA and global domination through space

We have talked alot about NASA lately, and NASA has been in the news alot lately!
We have had the bombing of the moon. Yesterday, we had reports of a new rocket ARES. Including, talk of taking men to mars never to return to earth.

Realistically, NASA has always been an offshoot of the US military. The romanticism believed in by some is sheer myth created to obfuscate the reality of what NASA is about.
We would be foolish to not grasp this reality.
While the US has the Army for ground control, the airforce for control of the skies, and the marines for control of the sea, they have NASA for control of space.
I have linked to this document previously, and here it is again. Vision 2020. Look at it for yourself.
The refer back to it, as you spend one hour watching this documentary.
It will be a hour of time, well spent. You will understand and think about the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq differently and more fully after this. I have already seen it.
The first question I asked after I watched it? Why don't we see this stuff on tv?

Bruce Gagnon is associated with the website in the sidebar-
Global Network Against Weapons and Nukes in Space

Please take the time to watch: Arsenal of Hypocrisy

One hour, well spent. Then share your thoughts.

Canada rolls out the H1N1 vaccine

Hurry one, Hurry all, limited time availability!

Not really, Canada has purchased lots of this vaccine. Canada alone is spending more then 400 MILLION dollars on vaccines.

Thereby ensuring maximum profitability for the pharmaceutical corporations and guaranteeing big bonus's for their CEO's. Because they really don't make that much money. But, I digress.

I know that H1N1 is a "pandemic"! I hear it constantly in the main stream media.
But the stats for Canada tell us a different story.

The pandemic has so far killed 83 people in Canada and hospitalized more than 1,500.

The recession/depression has hit Canada a hell of a lot worse then the swine flu. I wonder if the money could have been better spent elsewhere? Because I am thinking there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people that are out of work in Canada and food bank useage is soaring.....But, I digress again!

It's a pandemic! 83 people have died!

Then I wondered how many people die from seasonal flu? I couldn't find a number for Canada, however the CDC claims that 36,000 Americans die yearly from the flu.
Since Canada's population is about 1/10th that of the US, I used 1/10 of the US figure to estimate that about 3,600 people die every year from seasonal flu in Canada
But, 83 have died from H1N1 and it is a pandemic, but seasonal flu isn't?

Health Canada has pronounced the swine flu vaccine has been declared safe, though safety trials are ongoing, and results won't be known until next year!,
Wait just a minute...?? Read for yourself.

"I am happy to say that today, Health Canada has authorized the H1N1 flu virus vaccine,"

"Canadian clinical trials of the vaccine are still underway, and the results won't be available until next year"

So, how is it declared safe?

"Federal health authorities have relied on data from clinical trials done on the same vaccine in Europe"

What clinical trials? Who conducted the trials? Did the clinical trials include the use of experimental adjuvants? The ones contained in Canada's H1N1 vaccine?
Because Health Canada says it is the same vaccine, but is it?

"The adjuvant used in Canada's swine flu vaccine, AS03, has also been tested in about 45,000 people around the world using a "mock" H5N1 vaccine."
That doesn't seem to be the exact same vaccine? Maybe the adjuvant is the same, but H5N1 and H1N1 are not the same viruses? Same adjuvant, but a different virus. Can this bring about different safety results?
Confusing, isn't it ?

It is also interesting to note some other H1N1 news that is getting much hype.

"Some researchers predicting that pandemic H1N1 influenza infections are peaking this week"

If that is the case, the mass vaccinations are unnecessary.
But, they are available now in Canada!

David Nozette; What did he know, who did he tell ???

The arrested scientist worked on the Indian project Chandrayaan. This is the project that discovered water on the moon, or so it is claimed.

Interestingly, Israel is crying victim, over this arrest, though the US has said that Israel was not involved. Is this pre-emptive perception management on their part? Why even say anything at all? Though there is this issue

"From 1998 to 2008, Mr Nozette worked as a consultant for a state-owned Israeli aerospace company. Once a month, he answered questions from the company and received $225,000 in that period."

And this "During the FBI sting, Mr Nozette reportedly told the man he believed to be a Mossad agent that he was surprised Israeli intelligence had not sought to recruit him earlier. He allegedly added: “I thought I was working for you already. I mean, that’s what I always thought, [the foreign company] was just a front.”

He always thought he was in the employ of Mossad anyway? Well, was he or wasn't he? Was the state owned aerospace company a front company for Israeli Intelligence?

( Watch Video )

An interesting little update:

'Spy scientist' worked on Star Wars too

“This was leading edge, department of defense national security work,” said Hubbard, a professor of aerospace at Stanford University who worked for 20 years at Nasa. Hubbard said Nozette worked on the Star Wars project at the energy department’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Billionaire Bloomberg claims Drug CEO's are underpaid, but H1N1 will ease their woes

I guess when your a billionaire earning multiple millions of dollars, along with bonus's and stock options, is small change, right? How out of touch with reality is Mayor Bloomberg??
Coffee spitting time!

Drug CEOs Don't Make Much Money

Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg defended multibillion-dollar pharmaceutical companies and their chief executives on Friday, declaring that they "don't make a lot of money" and shouldn't be scapegoats in the health care debate.

The mayor — and wealthiest person in New York City with a fortune estimated at $16.5 billion — made the comments on his radio show Friday during a discussion about health care.

"You know, last time I checked, pharmaceutical companies don't make a lot of money, their executives don't make a lot of money — not that they couldn't be better," Bloomberg said.

Well how much is not much you may ask???

Abbott Laboratories Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Miles White's compensation was $25.3 million in 2008

Merck & Co.'s chief executive, Richard T. Clark, received a $17.3 million compensation package for 2008.
No, that's not much. I suppose we should round up some donations for them?

And on that note, there should be an upswing in their pay packages for 2009, because thanks to the so called swine flu 'pandemic', drug company profits are exploding!

Drugmakers, Doctors Rake in Billions Battling H1N1 Flu

Drug companies have sold $1.5 billion worth of swine flu shots, in addition to the $1 billion for seasonal flu they booked earlier this year. These inoculations are part of a much wider and rapidly growing $20 billion global vaccine market.

"The vaccine market is booming," says Bruce Carlson, spokesperson at market research firm Kalorama, which publishes an annual survey of the vaccine industry. "It's an enormous growth area for pharmaceuticals at a time when other areas are not doing so well,"

Wasn't that very profitable for the drug companies that WHO declared H1N1 a pandemic?
It's great that governments are so willing to waste taxpayers dollars propping big pharmaceutical corporations at their time of need.

From Spy (smart) meters to (chipped) Spy Rubbish Bins

Many councils 'bug' rubbish bins OR
Wheelie bin microchips could alert councils to big polluters AND

So this is what it is all about. Taking your hard earned money.
This is being done so that residents can be billed.

Question? Isn't this what property taxes are for?

Before anyone accuses me of being unconcerned about the environment, nothing could be further from the truth, so let's not go down that road, and look at this for what it is.

A way to have you and I pay more, for less.

Scientist arrested for selling secrets to FBI agents posing as Mossad agents

This story is a real kicker!

A scientist credited with helping discover evidence of water on the moon has been arrested on charges of attempting to pass on classified information to an FBI agent posing as an Israeli intelligence officer.

The US justice department said Stewart David Nozette, 52, was charged with attempting to communicate, deliver and transmit classified information to an individual he believed to be an Israeli intelligence officer.

Nozette, from Maryland, was arrested yesterday by FBI agents. He is expected to appear in federal court in Washington today.

Here is some of his work history:

Nozette had worked in varying jobs for the department of energy, the national aeronautics and space, and in the national space council in the president's office in 1989 and 1990.

The scientist developed the Clementine bistatic radar experiment that purportedly discovered water on the south pole of the moon. He worked from approximately 1990 to 1999 at the department of energy's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, where he designed highly advanced technology.

At the department of energy, Nozette held a special security clearance equivalent to the defence department top secret and "critical nuclear weapon design information" clearances. Department of energy clearances apply to access to information specifically relating to atomic or nuclear-related materials.

Nozette also held top offices at the Alliance for Competitive Technology, a nonprofit company that he organised in March 1990. Between January 2000 and February 2006, Nozette, through his company, had several agreements to develop advanced technology for the US government.

He performed some of the research and development at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency in Arlington, Virginia, and at Nasa's Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland.

But, what the above article fails to mention and this one does is that Nozette was a consultant for an Israeli company

From 1998 to 2008, the complaint alleges, Nozette was a technical adviser for a consultant company that was wholly owned by the Israeli government. Nozette was paid about $225,000 over that period, the court papers say.
He was "consulting for Israel" at the same time he was working these secretive US jobs? Shouldn't this have been cause for concern?

Here is a bit about the information he gave:

One answer contained information classified as secret, which concerned capabilities of a prototype overhead surveillance system. Nozette allegedly offered to reveal additional classified information that directly concerned nuclear weaponry, military spacecraft or satellites, and other major weapons systems.

Why did the FBI decide to set up this sting up, at this time? Was he suspected of spying for Israel all along? If he was working with NASA in the lead up to the botched up bombing of the moon, what was that really all about? Weapons testing?
If he was employed by a company wholly owned by Israel, could he have another agenda entirely?

Questions, questions, questions......

Smart Meters could be a spy in your home

This is VERY interesting, especially for those that live in Canada. Because, the province of Ontario is going hog wild, installing these nifty tracker devices on everybody's home. Are the other provinces going this route, let me know....

I knew these "smart meters" were tracking, how much and time of useage in real time, but now I wonder just what other information is being tracked and stored on electricity consumers.
And what will be done with that information???

Smart meters could become a 'spy in the home' by allowing social workers and health authorities to monitor households, adding to concern at Britain's surveillance society.

Every step takes us a little bit closer.

The devices, which the government plans to install in every home by 2020, will also tell energy firms what sort of appliances are being used, allowing companies to target customers who do not reduce their energy consumption.

If you can pay the bill, why should you be targetted?

The devices also pave the way for a national 'smart grid', backed by David Cameron's Conservatives, which would use the data to manage national demand more efficiently and advise households when it is cheapest to switch on appliances.

Who exactly is going to advise households when it is cheapest to switch on appliances, and more importantly if you need to use an appliance when it is inadvisable to do so, what would the repercussions be?

In its impact assessment, however, the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) says there "is theoretically scope... for using the smart metering communications infrastructure to enable a variety of other services, such as monitoring of vulnerable householders by health authorities or social services departments."

It adds: "Information from smart meters could also make it possible for a supplier to determine when electricity or gas was being used in a property and, to a degree, the types of technology that were being used within the property.

Doretta Cocks, founder of the Campaign for Weekly Waste Collection, said: "This is Orwellian."

Why yes it is, and it get's even more Orwellian...

The DECC document adds households could even have their power to some appliances turned off remotely to help the national grid if there is too much demand. It says: "In terms of potentially intrusive non-physical behaviour unrelated to data, smart metering potentially offers scope for remote intervention

Remote Intervention! Hello, there it is, someone else can interfere with your home, your private energy consumption. Big Brother is watching, and controling.

Obama-Nobel War Prize

This is an interesting take on the Peace prize win. Not a Western outlook.
Certainly not an outlook our main stream media is going to give us.
It starts out pointing out the fact that Obama is a war President, not a peace President.
And queries, is the contradiction not in Obama's win, but in the award itself ?

Otherwise, how can a president who is already fighting four different atrocious wars--a war of occupation in Iraq, a war of attrition in Afghanistan, a proxy war in Somalia through the hands of Ethiopia, and a mopping-up operation in Pakistan; and preparing to start a fifth against the Islamic Republic of Iran, be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? Is it a joke?

If it is, it will be on us. There is certainly a contradiction here; but it is not in Obama: it is in the prize itself, it is in the world in which it is given and in some of the unquestioned assumptions on which international norms are based.

And so begin the contradictions.....

In 1972 President Idi Amin Dada of Uganda wrote a telegram to US President Richard Nixon congratulating him on his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, a message which Amin ended with an observation saying, but Your Excellency, "whoever nominated you must have been joking!"

Distracted by the Watergate scandal and fully exploited by Henry Kissinger, Nixon had allowed the Secretary of State to muddle up both the immediate issue of the Vietnam War, on account of which he [Kissinger] would share the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize with a reluctant Le Duc Tho; and the Middle East question, on account of whose Camp David accord, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin would receive theirs five years later.

But despite the Nobel Prize, which co-winner Le Duc Tho, a member of Vietnam's politburo, refused to accept, the so-called achievements of Kissinger's Mideast summitry went up in the flames of the never-fully-quenched Tet Offensive that soon swept the scenery, now emptied of Americans who had avoided defeat with dishonor. According to Nixon, what America got was "peace with honour"--the honour of long-distance runners, because they had to run all the way from Vietnam back to America.

And for its part, the spirit of Camp David was torn to shreds by Laureate Begin in his pig-headed decision to invade Lebanon in the very year he received his prize. After 16 more years of war, another invasion of Lebanon, more summitry and road maps, going through Oslo to Wye, the Nobel Peace Prize went to Shimon Peres, Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat.

They were all in eminent company. When US President Woodrow Wilson received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1919, it was honour for someone who had successfully spread the carpet of US and Western imperialism to cover most of the world; and what sweet irony that it should fall to the lot of Obama, another US president, to begin the process of rolling it back--albeit with the exception of some Persian rugs. The real denouement for any crisis is a return to its origin. And that is exactly what Alfred Nobel's dynamites are doing now. Conceived and made for violence, they were used in terror, and they became a means for attaining peace and rewarding peacemakers; and now, a recipient of its largesse is dropping dynamite on the heads of Afghan wedding guests.

Van Allen Belts- waggin the moon doggie relevant

And now, I understand there are actually two radiation belts.

Link here

Impact on space travel

Solar cells, integrated circuits, and sensors can be damaged by radiation. Geomagnetic storms occasionally damage electronic components on spacecraft. Miniaturization and digitization of electronics and logic circuits have made satellites more vulnerable to radiation, as incoming ions may be as large as the circuit's charge. Electronics on satellites must be hardened against radiation to operate reliably. The Hubble Space Telescope, among other satellites, often has its sensors turned off when passing through regions of intense radiation.[9]

Missions beyond low earth orbit leave the protection of the geomagnetic field, and transit the Van Allen belts. Thus they may need to be shielded against exposure to cosmic rays, Van Allen radiation, or solar flares. The region between two to three earth radii lies between the two radiation belts and is sometimes referred to as the "safe zone".[10][11]

A satellite shielded by 3 mm of aluminium in an elliptic orbit (200 by 20,000 miles) passing through the radiation belts will receive about 2,500 rem (25 Sv) per year. Almost all radiation will be received while passing the inner belt. [12]

Breaking News- UNHRC endorses Goldstone

UNHRC endorses Goldstone's Gaza report by large majority

Despite Israeli lobbying efforts against the Goldstone Report, the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva endorsed the document on Friday, a move that will send it on to more powerful UN bodies in New York for action.

UN votes on Goldstone

Wow, Israel is having a hissy fit extraordinaire!
The news coverage coming out of that country, wailing, at the wall and beyond.?
Even blaming the "Obama effect"? Whatever that is?!

Israel's Prime Minister is WARNING everyone that if they back the Goldstone report there will be no peace in the Middle East!
As if Israel has ever worked for peace with the Palestianians, sheesh!

Britian is apparently abstaining from the vote, though Israel asked Britian to reject it outright.
Will the US use their veto?
Will Canada do hand springs and flips to distract from the war crimes Israel has committed?

Is the use of live virus swine flu vaccines designed to spread swine flu?

The first swine flu vaccine to be rolled out to the public in the US is the nasal spray.
The CDC says that 3.4 million doses will be available at the beginning of October/09. When I saw this news reported , I thought to myself, why use this type of vaccine initially?

If your like me, you have possibly seem images reinforcing the use of this type of vaccine on your tv screen

I find this practice questionable, it worries me, because this type of vaccine contains live virus, and that virus sheds for 3 weeks after you have received your dosage of vaccine.

"Shedding" means you become a "Typhoid Mary" of sorts for the next 3 weeks.

So if the swine flu surges, or cases mysteriously increase could CDC's first choice vaccine be the cause for such an increase in cases?

Just thinking of 3.4 million recipients of the live swine flu virus, shedding this virus, over a 3 week period, how many people could be contaminated? Who would then go on to contaminate how many people? A sort of "pay it forward", that you don't want to be on the receiving end of.

More worrisome could this cause the swine flu to mutate?

An even more scarier thought that comes to my mind, could this be intentional to justify all the fear mongering and money spent on mass intervention?

If this scenario sounds to far fetched believe me, it isn't.
This scenario has played itself out before, creating more and worse disease. It is not unheard of in cases where live virus is used in vaccines. Except of course by the public.

Recalling some older posts I had done on the polio vaccines. One, on a recent vaccine created polio outbreak in Nigeria you can read that here. Then a follow up to that post that you can find here In the cases recounted in these posts of vaccine induced polio, the CDC and WHO were aware of the possibility and probability of the disease manifesting and worsening through the use of live virus in the vaccine.

So the decision by the CDC to roll out 3.4 million doses of live virus vaccines just leaves me wondering and worrying.

Why Obama's Peace prize is really George Bush's prize

I had a person leave a comment here, "President Obama's campaign and election changed the face of America" Changed the face of America? I thought about that one. He didn't say, the election had changed America, only that it had changed "the face of" America.

Did the person leaving this comment not realize that changing "the face of" a country, like a person, is not real change, just superficial change?

In fact changing the face of America is like saying, oh look we put a new mask on and it is so nice, and sparkly. Sadly, everything underneath the mask is the same, but, what a great mask we have on now!

And this got me thinking about a line from the song by
Robert Palmer "Addicted to Love"
A pretty face, don't make no pretty heart

Obama may be a pretty face, but underneath that sparkling exterior had the heart, American policy, really changed?

And continuing along those lines of thought, I had to seriously question if this Peace prize really is the one that should have went to George W, for making "peace" by waging war.
Because that is where Obama is at!

Perhaps, it would have been too unpalatable, to gauche, to award George Bush such a prize.
He was so bumbling, and awkward. He never photographed well, and always looked stunned.

But, George did wage war for peace, as Obama is continuing to do .

In fact Obama not only carries on the Bush legacy, he has covered it up, and expanded on it. He does however wear a different face while carrying on the same agenda.

Remember all the torture committed under the Bush regime? You would think Obama would want to clean that mess up. You know, restore the face of America to the world, but he doesn't.

In this bit of news-Congress again seeks to ban release of torture photos , the Obama White house is ensuring the truth stays hidden. No change there.

Barring the release of photos depicting abuse of detainees in U.S. custody was again the subject of a legislative amendment in the U.S. Senate this week when language that supports President Obama's intent to keep the photos from public disclosure was attached to the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill.

Here is some more non-change, from the new face of America you can believe in, as Obama QUIETLY sends more troops to Afghanistan. Well, what with him winning the peace prize a few days ago, we wouldn't want him to announce too loudly that he is sending more kids to die in the graveyard of empires.

Of course, there is the whole issue of Obama being nominated after just 12 days in office. 12 days! He had to have still been unpacking. He hadn't done anything of substance. The nuclear issue? The climate issue? He was still trying to find his way around the White house!

I guess, the Nobel committee is psychic, because they knew within just 12 days of the Obama presidency and him being nominated for his great deeds, what exactly his great deeds were going to be! Even though none of these alleged accomplishments, and I use that term loosely, they cite as reasons for winning were undertaken AFTER his nomination.
Yup, psychic!

But, I don't think they are psychic. Sadly, Obama after only 12 days as President couldn't and didn't accomplish anything even justifying the nomination.
Therefore, I am left with the conclusion that this Nobel Peace prize, really belongs to George Bush.

Israeli-Turkish crisis worsens ?

Ten months after Turkey first protested Israel's military operation in and around Palestinian Gaza Strip, crisis between Ankara and the Israelis appears to be going from bad to worse.

It became clear on Sunday that Turkey had banned Israel from participating in a NATO-led, international air-force drill over its territory, which led to the entire exercise being postponed.

A day later, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched a blistering verbal attack on Israel and its actions in Gaza last winter.

"While in some countries children are provided with comfort, peace, the most advanced education and health opportunities, other children are faced with poverty, destitution, helplessness, war, conflict, weapons of mass destruction and phosphorus bombs," he told the Turkish Religious Council, cited by media reports in Turkey and Israel.

It is hard to see the relations between the two countries coming out of the continued tensions before Israelis return to the negotiation table with the Palestinians, analysts suggested.

Turkey warms to neighbours

Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was chairing a high-level delegation to Syria. Ankara and Damascus are forging new pacts and agreements to increase cooperation between the neighbors.

"The main slogan of this meeting is common destiny, history and future, and we will build the future together," Turkish Anadolou news agency quoted Davutoglu as saying.

The current incident of the ban on Israel's participation in the military exercise "should not be over-exaggerated," said YusufKanli, a columnist with the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

It is simply a case that for domestic political reasons Ankara cannot allow Israeli warplanes which bombed Gaza to fly over Turkey, he told Xinhua on Tuesday.

Putting it down to internal interests does not mean that Turkey intends minimizing its anger at Israeli actions. The Turkish feel very close to the Palestinians and to see their suffering under Israel's closure is unacceptable, Kanli said.

However, the publication last month of the UN investigation mission's report into last winter's events in Gaza and southern Israel suggested that Israel may have been guilty of war crimes in its actions.

Turkey immediately expressed its support for the findings of the UN mission led by Judge Richard Goldstone.

Turkey is not just enjoying an on-again, off-again relationship with Israel, but also with the European Union and the United States. Ankara is still finding its feet on the international stage to some extent and as a result it is treading on some toes.

A sign of weakening American influence??

Israeli Media Tycoon wants to buy alJazeera

Report: Saban wants to buy al-Jazeera

Former Israeli billionaire Haim Saban is holding negotiations for the purchase of 50% of the al-Jazeera television network from the Qatari government, Egyptian newspaper al-Mesryoon reported Wednesday. The negotiations are said to be conducted through an Egyptian mediator.

This isn't his first attempt at purchasing al-Jazeera

Saban backed out of the same negotiations in the past without offering any explanation. His new offer was submitted recently through an Egyptian businessman.

In addition to the Saban Group's media activity, and its stakes in Israeli communications company Bezeq, Saban used to be a musician and has a dual Israeli-American citizenship. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1944, and immigrated to Israel in 1956.

Obama's "Peace"

So I am thinking... In honour of Obama's Nobel prize win, PBS really should rename their upcoming Frontline show "Obama's War", Obama's Peace.
"Obama's Peace" is far more fitting.
A reflection of Obama's Nobel Peace prize win, in classic double speak fashion.

Who could disagree with that ? ? Surely not the committee that chose Obama?

From the Will of Alfred Nobel

Note the section pertaining to the Peace Prize.

"The whole of my remaining realizable estate shall be dealt with in the following way: the capital, invested in safe securities by my executors, shall constitute a fund, the interest on which shall be annually distributed in the form of prizes to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind. The said interest shall be divided into five equal parts, which shall be apportioned as follows: one part to the person who shall have made the most important discovery or invention within the field of physics; one part to the person who shall have made the most important chemical discovery or improvement; one part to the person who shall have made the most important discovery within the domain of physiology or medicine; one part to the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction; and one part to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses. The prizes for physics and chemistry shall be awarded by the Swedish Academy of Sciences; that for physiology or medical works by the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm; that for literature by the Academy in Stockholm, and that for champions of peace by a committee of five persons to be elected by the Norwegian Storting. It is my express wish that in awarding the prizes no consideration be given to the nationality of the candidates, but that the most worthy shall receive the prize, whether he be Scandinavian or not."

Has Obama met those qualifications? More importantly, had he qualified in just 12 days in office? Has he promoted fraternity between nations?
Israel and Palestine? How about Columbia and Venezuela?

Has he abolished or reduced standing armies?
Hasn't he increased troops in Afghanistan? (17 -20,000 Feb 2009)
Isn't he considering sending more troops to Afghanistan? (another 40-60,000)

How about arms shipments to Somalia?

How about the promotion and holding of peace congresses?
I am just drawing a total blank on that one.

So did Obama meet the minimum requirements stipulated in Nobel's will for his Peace prize ?

Obama nominated for Peace Prize less then two weeks after Inauguration !?

Yes, less then two weeks after he became President, he was nominated for this esteemed prize!
Wow, he really must be an over acheiver, a mover and a shaker, or something like that?

How is it possible that Obama is nominated and wins a Nobel Peace Prize, when he only became President, just two weeks before the nomination deadline. Yes, you read that right!
Just shy of TWO weeks (12 days to be exact) before the nominations deadline, Obama becomes President.

Mr Obama became the U.S. president less than two weeks before the February 1 nomination deadline.

Just to be sure that the information was correct, I checked at
And sure enough in the section- "How are Nobel Laureates Selected".

It says, and I quote-
FebruaryDeadline for submission. The Committee bases its assessment on nominations that must be postmarked no later than 1 February each year. Nominations postmarked and received after this date are included in the following year's discussions. In recent years, the Committee has received close to 200 different nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize. The number of nominating letters is much higher, as many are for the same candidates.
And Obama was, of course, inaugurated on January 20th/09 Now could someone tell me what Obama accomplished in a less then two week period of time of Presidency, that would explain this momentous nomination?? and thanks John!

Update: Moon Impact

NASA makes as-yet unseen hit on moon with probes

But the big live public splash NASA had hoped for didn't quite happen. Screens got fuzz and no immediate pictures of the crash or the six-mile plume of lunar dust that the mission was all about.

NASA officials said their instruments were working, but the planned live photos were missing.

Nearly half an hour after the crash, NASA was promising pictures updated to its Web site.

But so far all NASA had was "images on the way in," said NASA spokesman Grey Hautaluoma.

People who got up before dawn to look for the crash at Los Angeles' Griffith Observatory threw confused looks at each other instead.

Until the glitch with live images, NASA was riding high, reporting no trouble at the Ames Research Center in California, where the mission was being controlled.
So, did it work?

Obama wins prize for best political bullshit

How ass backwards is this world? How oxymoronic is this?
Obama wins a Nobel Peace prize
Obama is not a peacemaker so how does he qualify for such a prize?

Quite frankly I am thinking these prizes are just jokes, in and of themselves.
Let me explain-

Recall two men, Myron Scholes and Robert C Merton, who received Nobel prizes in Economic Sciences. I know, your asking what is the point? Well the point is these two won this 'esteemed' prize after the spectacular failure of Long Term Capital Management, an enormous hedge fund that required massive bail-out intervention and nearly took down the global economy And who were two of the founders of this hedge fund? Why our two Nobel prize winners in economics of course!

Now back to Obama. What has he done to make peace? Oh 'diplomatic efforts'. So Obama can talk, with his fingers crossed behind his back, whoppee!

We have Obama saying he will disregard borders in his hunt for Alqueda. Obama has not rebuked Israel for it's land thievery and covered up for Israel in it's war crimes in Gaza.
Yeah, those are some peaceful moves! Obama using drones increasing the killing of innocents, Obama turning the war up a notch or one hundred in Afghanistan. Obama has for all intents and purposes invaded Pakistan. And on, and on and on...

So this man, whose every action is only encouraging unrest, destabilization and blood shed gets a peace prize?

Ya know that saying about "walking your talk" ? That means your talk has to be born out in your actions, hence your walk. That is NOT Obama!

I guess what this peace prize really is, it's a prize for the best bullshitter!
