This reeks of narrative creation
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have seized a facility that produced chemical weapons under Saddam Hussein, but the site includes old and contaminated chemical weapons that U.S. officials said would be ineffective and hard to move.
Officials told the Wall Street Journal that the weapons at the Al Muthanna complex are also hard to relocate, further complicating any effort by ISIS to use the weapons in its offensive against Iraqi security forces.So, if chemical attacks begin in Iraq it won't be ISIS because this facility houses chems that would be ineffective and hard to move. Must be Maliki, attack!
Despite confidence that ISIS won’t be able to make the chemical weapons operational, the U.S. remains “concerned about the seizure of any military site by” ISIS.
Or, oh my they must have got chemical weapons from Syria......now NATO has to move against Iraq and Syria!
Remember the US/France etc has been keeping the Syrian use of chemical meme alive and they keep replanting it in the mind of the oblivious propaganda consumer.
From WSJ-(link above) Washington—Sunni extremists in Iraq have occupied what was once Saddam Hussein's premier chemical-weapons production facility, a complex that still contains a stockpile of old weapons, State Department and other U.S. government officials said.
U.S. officials don't believe the Sunni militants will be able to create a functional chemical weapon from the material.
Well I feel so much better now that's it's been confirmed the evil overlord darth chaney was right;) I can this will never end.
ReplyDeletehi jo!
DeleteI rather believe chemical weapons would come from the same places they did in Syria : from Libya ( where as per usual they would not be secured from pilferage - same as in Iraq post invasion ) or from Turkey.
ReplyDeleteHi opit;
DeleteI concur. ISIS has already demonstrated on more then one occasion they are able to access and use chemical weapons- this story just places the chemical weapons potential in Iraq and presents options for spin
