US Unfreezes Military Aid to Egypt

How lucky for Egypt- How very unfortunate for Yemen. Libya and Gaza
The announcement of continued military aid comes as Egypt is preparing to step up its involvement in a Saudi-led war in Yemen.
The U.S. on Tuesday lifted a freeze on sending arms to Egypt imposed after a military-backed coup overthrew the country’s elected government.
National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said the decision came after a 20-month review of the administration’s policy.
“Now that the process has been completed, the Administration will use the flexibility provided by Congress in legislation this fiscal year to provide additional military assistance to Egypt,” Meehan said in a statement. “The Administration will not make the so-called ‘democracy certification’ in that legislation.”
That military assistance will come in the form of ” 12 F-16 aircraft, 20 Harpoon missiles, and up to 125 M1A1 Abrams tank kits that have been held from delivery,” Meehan said. The U.S. will also continue to request the annual $1.3 billion in military assistance from Congress moving forward.

Unlikely Idlib fell to rebels, as earlier claimed, however ongoing fighting is a definite!

Unlikely Idlib fell to rebels, as earlier claimed, however ongoing fighting is a definite!

UN News Centre
31 March 2015 – The humanitarian situation in conflict-torn Syria is deteriorating even further amid reports that the city of Idleb has fallen to anti-government insurgents, a senior United Nations relief official has warned.
“I am gravely concerned by the ongoing fighting taking place in Idleb governorate and its possible impact on hundreds of thousands of civilians,” Yacoub El Hillo, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Syria, declared in a press release.
“I appeal to all parties to this conflict to adhere to their obligations to protect civilians and all humanitarian personnel under International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law.”
Last weekend, Idleb, located in northwest Syria, reportedly fell under the control of a coalition of anti-government armed groups, according to the UN Office for the High Commissioner (OHCHR). The city was subsequently shelled by Government airplanes, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 civilians. The Syrian Air Force then expanded its raids throughout the governorate of Idleb, attacking the towns of Sarmin, Mantaf and Nayrab.
Reportedly fell? The UN is clearly not verifying the rebels claims!

The NATO backed terrorists certainly implied or led persons to believe they took the city. But the initial reporting was very suspicious. Images poured out through social media, but, we've all seen that too many times to take it at face value. Other reports had rebels on the outside areas of the city. Where they  took pictures to 'make their case'

At a press briefing in Geneva today, OHCHR confirmed it had received reports of civilian casualties resulting from these attacks but could not yet verify the number of dead and injured.
In his press release yesterday, Mr. El Hillo cautioned that the situation in Idleb had become “increasingly dire” with electricity shortages and the closure of schools and hospitals. In addition, the city’s estimated 500,000 inhabitants remain in the city as fighting intensifies.
“I appeal to all parties to de-escalate hostilities and to allow humanitarian actors to deliver urgently needed life-saving help, which can offer some reprieve from the daily suffering Syrians face,” Mr. El Hillo continued. “While humanitarian actors continue to scale-up assistance, their efforts cannot be a substitute for a political solution to the crisis in Syria.”
These words coming from the UN just sound like blah, blah, blah to me! I've read their phony empty words of concern for too many years now.

Meanwhile, in its briefing today from Geneva, the OHCHR added its concern about threats by armed opposition leaders to attack the predominately Shi’ite villages of Al-Fu’ah and Kafraya.

The claims of the NATO backed mercenaries were clearly false when they were initially made a few days back, however, the fighting presently is real.

I do believe that the NATO backed terror crew is making a push  to take Syrian territory, for a no fly zone:

“The Syrian National Coalition calls for the establishment of a no-fly zone in northern Syria, including over Idlib.  Without it, the territory may quickly fall back into the hands of the regime or ISIL.  A no-fly zone will protect civilians on the ground from Assad’s aerial attacks, enable safer access for humanitarian aid and create the space needed to establish moderate governance and basic services.
To create yet another terror state called Kurdistan (think Kosovo). The no fly will enable the NATO global tyranny nations, such as Canada, to wantonly kill civilians & destroy yet another nation but certainly not to destroy ISIS. ISIS is NATO's army. It provides NATO the necessary pretext to invade nation after nation. Iraq. Syria. Libya. NATO's targets are endless and some version of NATO's Islamist Army always provides cover for the real agenda- Nation destruction. Destabilization. Forcing mass immigration. Victims for human trafficking. Victims for organ trafficking. It's all a disgrace.

Competing Ideologies? Steve Paiken on the Agenda

Personally, I detest this program.  The pretentious Paiken, always nauseating. But, considering the guests.... I am trying to listen. But right off the hop, the title of the show? "Competing"? Why?
And Francis Fukuyama? Admittedly, I'm not a fan. Loads of deceptive language and word manipulation on the part of Paiken, as usual. Still listening. Share some thoughts

Alexander Dugin: The Fourth Political Theory & Western Liberalism

For some reason this gentleman's name caught my eye? Where had I seen it before? Possibly Saker's place? I'm not sure? No matter! Where ever it was, I saw the name, recalled it and thought what the heck, give it a listen. So glad I did! This fellow is quite interesting... really!
Thanks to Henrik at Red Ice, for conducting this brilliant interview for us all to enjoy.
It really provided me with much food for thought. And if anyone else can provide me with some insights or direct me towards additional interviews with him I would just love to listen to more!

"Aleksandr Dugin is one of the best-known writers and political commentators in post-Soviet Russia. In addition to the many books he has authored on political, philosophical and spiritual topics, he currently serves on the staff of Moscow State University, and is the intellectual leader of the Eurasia Movement. For more than a decade, he has also been an advisor to Vladimir Putin and others in the Kremlin on geopolitical matters, being a vocal advocate of a return of Russian power to the global stage, to act as a counterweight to American domination. Dugin joins us to speak about the subject of his book, The Fourth Political Theory. He begins with an overview of this political vision, one that is a fundamental criticism of liberalism in all forms, but does not fall into communism, nationalism or fascism. Dugin explains the need for critically thinking people in the world to imagine an alternative to liberalism, and how this very confusing and destructive ideology is truly a totalitarian way of thinking. We consider the key liberalist issues as being tests to see how far people are willing to go to completely give up traditional values, and we look at the globalist capital system that is exacerbating the identity crisis of the west. In the second half, Dugin details the fine points of Eurasianism, a vision of world history based on geopolitics and the virility of diverse civilizations. We look at Russia’s place amongst the global elite, her unwavering sovereignty that will ultimately resist globalization, and a deeply rooted cultural dimension that cannot be divided from Europe. Dugin speaks of the US’s constant meddling and manufacturing of conflicts between Russia and Europe, and we discuss the importance of creating a strong European cooperative to balance the liberalist power monopoly. In conclusion, Dugin notes his contributions to Putin’s current ideology and the rising influence of the Forth Political Theory in liberating Russia from the globalist grip"

The reality of back to back brutal winters in the Atlantic/Great Lakes area

The reality of back to back brutal winters in the Atlantic/Great Lakes area

Following up on yesterday's post. Where hopefully you all read about yet another AGW lie,  biting the dust?   AGW/Global Warming DOES NOT CAUSE EXTREME WINTERS!

That lie that died, warming = cooling, was the one created to explain away the ever cooling temperatures and extremely frigid winters that have occurred back to back in North America. Extending down to Mexico, parts of the UK. Spain. Lebanon. Syria. And many, many other areas of the globe. Just the fact that the Atlantic ocean froze up to the extent it did is indicative of the extreme cold temperatures, due to the fact that salt water freezes at lower temps.

Ocean water freezes just like freshwater, but at lower temperatures. Fresh water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit but seawater freezes at about 28.4 degrees Fahrenheit , because of the salt in it.
The extreme cold, this year, in the Atlantic resulted in icebergs washing up on the shores of the Atlantic
Huge icebergs the size of boulders have been washing up on the shores of Cape Cod after one of the bitterest winters in living memory.
Months of frozen temperatures have created huge sheets of ice up and down the coastline and now the temperatures have warmed slightly they are breaking up and washing ashore.
In Wellfleet, on the Massachusetts coast, the ice made the beach look more like an arctic wasteland than the soon-to-be summer playground of the rich and famous of the East Coast.

As you know, yesterday, an Air Canada plane made a hard landing in heavy snow near Halifax
The fact the Atlantic froze enough for slushee waves and icebergs also tells us all, as posted two weeks ago, the ocean definitely isn't "hiding the warming'  Study Finds Earth’s Ocean Abyss Has NOT Warmed- Not Warmed!

I had mentioned in the comment section of  yesterday's post, we ventured out to one of the  Great lakes (Lake Erie)  last week end. There was ice as far out as one could see. No waves hitting the sandy beaches. Just ice. Not moving. No shifting. No crackling indicating the ice was weakening. Just icy cold winds and ice, ice, ice....

The Great Lakes are home to many birds. Hundreds of thousands of birds. Winter last year and this year took a terrible toll on the many beautiful ducks and other water fowl- And I do love birds.

From 2015- Ducks and waterfowl are starving to death

Duck being treated at Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge, in southwestern Ontario.
With the Great Lakes serving as the winter home and migratory route for millions of sea birds and waterfowl, it’s unknown how many birds will have perished during the harsh winter, some experts say the death toll on Lake Erie alone could be in the tens of thousands.
Across the border, Tim Jasinski runs the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center, the cold weather has it at capacity as well.

From 2014- Thousands of dead water fowl appearing all over the Great Lakes region

More here
Biologists say carcasses began piling up by the hundreds in early January after the plunging temperatures started icing over nearly the entire Great Lakes, preventing the ducks from getting to the minnows that are their main source of food. Necropsies on dozens of birds have confirmed the cause: starvation.
“All have empty stomachs. They’re half the weight they should be,” said Connie Adams, a biologist in the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Buffalo office who has personally seen 950 dead birds.
“This is unprecedented. Biologists who’ve worked here for 35 years have never seen anything like this,” she said. “We’ve seen a decline in tens of thousands in our weekly waterfowl counts.”
It’s a phenomenon that has been seen elsewhere along the Great Lakes, with news reports of diving ducks and other waterfowl turning up dead by the hundreds along the southern part of Lake Michigan. They’ve also been found in Lake St. Clair between Lakes Erie and Huron.
These many thousands and thousands of waterfowl would have survived had any actual warming been taking place- They would have had plenty to eat. Instead it's been cold and colder and for two consecutive winters these birds have been dying en masse. It was noticeable last year in the reduced duck and geese population that I see. I expect this year to be worse still.

Delayed Seaway Opening

The St Lawrence Seaway System joins the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean- It is the H2O highway.
This year. 2015. The Seaway has delayed the opening of the H2O Highway (Welland Canal) until April 02/2015. This is the first April opening since 1997. Even last year despite the ice build up on the Great Lakes the opening was delayed until later in March. But this year the opening is  later still
St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. has delayed the opening of the canal due to the large amount of ice in the seaway system and surrounding waterways.
“It’s quite rare that we delay the opening,” seaway company spokesman Andrew Bogora said of the event that typically takes place in the third or fourth week of March.
While the start of the navigation season was delayed by a few days in March 2014 due to cold weather conditions, the seaway hasn’t been forced to push the launch back to April since 1997, he said.
This year, ships will begin transiting the canal April 2
It will be interesting to see if April 02/15 is a go? Because the ice sure has not been melting

The icebreakers are out on the east coast- Opening up the Atlantic Ocean entrance to the Seaway- If they can get any ships through all that ice, it will amazing! If the opening is a go the canal will see limited shipping initially.

And what about wine country 2015?

Ah, yes. Wine country. Like last year the damage looks to be extensive. And as the cold continues.... who knows how the vines will fare?
Willwerth's team publishes "Vine Alert" which compiles statistics from growers who survey their vines and estimate how much damage there's been. Some of the readings look pretty bleak. A reading taken on Feb. 23 indicated a 19 per cent bud survival for Cabernet Sauvignon in Creek Shores.
But by March 3, things were looking a bit better. The Cab grapes in Creek Shores had a 43 per cent survival reading.
The real survival rate for this year's crop is probably somewhere in between, said Willwerth. Different varieties, regions and wineries will have been impacted differently.
"We are still sampling and getting better assessments," he said. "Our assessments improve as we collect more data and get closer to spring, too. It's a biological system and there is inherent variability."

All of the research has been going right into the region's attempts to grow wine. Still, Willwerth said he wouldn't wish a cold winter on the industry in real life. He'd rather test his theories in his laboratory freezer.
"I'd rather have it as an experiment," he said.
 And the tender fruit crops
"On the tender-fruit side, I am expecting almost complete wipeout (areas) on the west-end for peaches, apricots and plums."
Brewster and others caution that fruit vine and tree samples are being collected now and the extent of the damage is too early to assess
Let's hope the damage is not as bad as initial assessment

Wine Country Cold Damage 2014

Bottom line:

If AGW, as has been sold, was anywhere near truth or reality,  none of what I have posted above would be happening. The  Great Lakes would not be freezing. Massive bird deaths would not be happening. Ice boulders would not be washing up on the Atlantic coast. The H20 Highway would be opening and the tender fruit growers and wine industry would not be looking at yet another year of crop losses-  Massive road damage. Water main breaks. Sink holes. People going without water in their homes due to water main breaks. None of that would be occurring. Yet, it is.

The climate changes, always. But the AGW theory of excess man caused carbon was supposed to result in warming, and moderation of temps- That is not the case at all

This was after all the first year the snow was so deep, no melt or 'january thaw', I put on snowshoes to get out to my composter which was buried in snow as high as my composter is tall

Sunday, March 29, 2015

Another AGW fabrication bites the dust. Hey, hey, hey!

Recall last year and the year before and the year before that one, the cultish adherents of AGW started spinning that warming = cooling.  Which made zero sense!
So imagine my absolute non surprise this chilly, below normal temperature, first week of spring gone and done morning, to read this news?

Global Warming/AGW DOES NOT CAUSE extreme winters

Cold snaps like the ones that hit the eastern United States in the past winters are not a consequence of  (global warming AGW) climate change. Scientists at ETH Zurich and the California Institute of Technology have shown that global warming actually tends to reduce temperature variability
Repeated cold snaps led to temperatures far below freezing across the eastern (central) United States (and Canada & parts of Europe etc...) in the past two winters. Parts of the Niagara Falls froze, and ice floes formed on Lake Michigan. Pictures of icy, snow-covered cities made their way around the world, raising the question of whether (Global warming/AGW) climate change could be responsible for these extreme events.

Temperature range will decrease

Scientists at ETH Zurich and at the California Institute of Technology, led by Tapio Schneider, professor of climate dynamics at ETH Zurich, have come to a different conclusion. They used climate simulations and theoretical arguments to show that in most places, the range of temperature fluctuations will decrease as the climate warms. So not only will cold snaps become rarer simply because the climate is warming. Additionally, their frequency will be reduced because fluctuations about the warming mean temperature also  become smaller, the scientists wrote in the latest issue of the Journal of Climate.
Temperature fluctuations or extremes should lessen. And cold snaps will become more rare because of global temperature equalization according to AGW/Global warming theory. That is not what is happening, at all!

One of this past winter’s northeastern snowstorms swirls off the coast of New England in the satellite image

Study: Global warming not to blame for fierce winter

As you will read the IPCC is completely on board and aware of this information!

Using a highly simplified climate model, they examined various climate scenarios to verify their theory. It showed that the temperature variability in mid-latitudes decreases as the temperature difference between the poles and the equator diminishes.
Climate model simulations by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) showed similar results: as the climate warms, temperature differences in mid-latitudes decrease, and so does temperature variability, especially in winter.
And yet, the past few years have been getting colder and colder with the last two winters being particularly brutal here in Canada and the US and further south still.  Right now our temps are still well below normal!

Global warming doesn’t cause extreme winters, study says
Global warming doesn’t cause extreme winters, a study has found—instead it tends to reduce temperature variability.

That a warming trend doesn’t cause cold snaps might seem obvious, but it had been a question. Temperatures plunged far below freezing across the eastern United States in the past two winters. Parts of the Niagara Falls froze, and ice floes formed on Lake Michigan. Some theories pointed to global warming as a culprit.

Using a highly simplified climate model, they said, they examined various climate scenarios to verify their theory. Climate model simulations by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change showed similar results, they said: as the climate warms, temperature differences in mid-latitudes decrease. So does temperature variability, especially in winter.

In conclusion AGW or Global Warming should make the winters warmer! That is absolutely not happening- I can attest to this fact because millions of us have to live through these longer colder without respite winters. Crops are affected. Water mains bursting, water leaking, road damage, birds dying- shore erosion, sink holes etc- The reality doesn't fit the fiction.

Today an Air Canada jet made a hard landing, in the snow- At the end of March/2015

The Halifax region was under a snowfall warning, with an Environment Canada alert saying, "Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
The aircraft skidded for a long time before coming to a stop, said Hall, who is retired and lives in Mount Uniake, N.S.
“We were sliding along on our belly,” he said.
Hall said the aircraft hit so hard, the landing gear and at least one of the engines was ripped from the plane.
“I was looking out and I saw the landing gear go and I saw an engine go,” said Hall.
Hall said passengers left the plane immediately but they were left standing on the tarmac for more than an hour as they were lashed by wind-whipped snow.

It appears in poor visibility conditions, thanks to heavy snow which should not be happening if the planet was warming per AGW - the plane hit a power line, did a hard landing and slid for a good while, falling to pieces in the process

Monsanto Spin Doctor won't drink 'safe' Monsanto Round-Up- EDC's & Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

Extrait : Bientôt dans vos assiettes... - Interview de Patrick Moore

In it, Dr. Patrick Moore tells the host that glyphosate, an active ingredient in Roundup that was recently linked to cancer by the World Health Organization, is not linked to Argentina's increasing cancer rate.
“You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you,” says Moore.
“You want to drink some?” asks the host. “We have some here.”
“I’d be happy to, actually,” replies Moore. “Not really. But I know it wouldn’t hurt me.”
“If you say so, I have some,” says the interviewer.
“I’m not stupid,” says Moore.
“So, it’s dangerous?” says the interviewer.
Moore then says Roundup is so safe that when “people try to commit suicide” by drinking it, they “fail regularly.”
“Tell the truth, it’s dangerous,” says the host.
“It’s not dangerous to humans,” Moore replies. “No, it’s not.”
“So, are you ready to drink one glass?” the interviewer says.
“No, I’m not an idiot,” Moore says.
"Interview me about golden rice, that's what I'm talking about. Otherwise the interview is finished. You're a complete jerk."

Moore was an early member of Greenpeace (Greenpeace isn't working to fight anything actually affecting the environment) I don't believe their spin at all! They are just another corporate servant with their own business interests. Greenpeace is just another No Good Organization.

This is, of course, linked to that news item I had up the other day!

Ukraine: Arrested Officials to be freed- Kolomoisky/Poroshenko deal?

The one that looked completely staged?
Ok did anyone beside me think the whole arrest thing looked staged
The two men arrested were virtually emotionless- weird
I wasn't alone in noticing the faked feeling of the entire incident. And why would I be? There are some savvy folks hanging around, for sure!

I do think that it WAS staged.
What part seemed odd to you, I couldn't put my figure on why it was not right

The arrest, well I'm under the impression that everything coming out there is staged just like isis. Hollyweird anyone?
All politics in all western controlled countries is theatre. One always has to ask the question, "why am I seeing this; why am I reading this? The camera was propositioned to film the arresting officers. My guess it was preplanned if not rehearsed!

Former head of Ukraine State Emergency Service Bochkovsky may be released on Saturday

"The Kyiv Pechersky District Court has turned down the Interior Ministry's request for the arrest of former head of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service Serhiy Bochkovsky"
Why stage the arrest other then to deflect from whatever really went on between Poroshenko and Kolomoisky?  Kolomoisky steps down from his appointed leadership. What did he get in exchange? Recall he removed documents from the state oil offices? What were the documents he removed? Were they the same documents Poroshenko signed in the office the night he 'fired' Kolomoisky

And speaking of Kolomoisky?

The situation concerning crude oil producer Ukrnafta will be settled judicially, former Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Ihor Kolomoisky has said.

Putin: Provocations against Russia Possible in 2016

Speaking at a board meeting of the federal security service FSB on Thursday he demanded quashing such destabilization attempts.

“There have been continued attempts by Western secret services for using non-governmental organizations and politicized associations for their purposes first and foremost for discrediting the authorities and destabilizing the internal situation in Russia,” Putin said. He warned there were plans for such actions during the forthcoming election campaigns of 2016 and 2018.
“I have said more than once and I can say once again: we are prepared for a dialogue with the opposition, we will maintain relations of partnership with civil society in the broadest sense. We invariably turn an attentive ear to those who meaningfully criticize the authorities at any level for certain actions or for inactivity. Such a dialogue and partnership are always useful and absolutely necessary in any country, including ours,” Putin said. At the same time he said that “it makes no sense to enter into discussions with those who act on orders from abroad, in the interests of another country or other countries, and not their own.”
“We will keep focus on the existence of foreign sources of financing non-governmental organizations and checking the conformity of their officially proclaimed goals with their practical work. Any violations must be blocked,” Putin said.

Yemen: GCC bombing aided by US- Operation Storm of Resolve- Denying China?

A few interesting news items
WASHINGTON: President Obama has authorized U.S. logistical and intelligence support for Saudi Arabia as it launches airstrikes on Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia began the airstrikes Wednesday night. The Houthi rebels reported firing anti-aircraft missiles as jets struck a military base in Yemen's capital. The Saudi government says nine other countries have joined its military operation but that the U.S. is not among them.

In a statement Wednesday night, a White House official says the U.S. is coordinating U.S. military and intelligence support with Saudi Arabia. National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan says the U.S. isn't taking direct military action in Yemen but did consult with the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia has 150,000 troops for Yemen operation-Arabiya TV
Saudi Arabia is contributing 100 warplanes and 150,000 soldiers to the military operation in Yemen, al-Arabiya television reported on Thursday.

Planes from Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain are also taking part in the operation, it said. Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan and Sudan are ready to participate in a ground offensive, the broadcaster said

China a big buyer of Yemen oil as export risks rise
Oil supplies in Yemen had already been disrupted by conflict.

Yemeni oil flows through the Marib pipeline, its main export route, at a rate of around 70,000 barrels per day (bpd). Before a series of attacks by tribesmen began against it three years ago, the pipeline carried around 110,000 barrels per day to Ras Isa, an export terminal on the Red Sea. Tribal conflicts and al Qaeda insurgency are disrupting oil and gas exports in other parts of the economy.

Saudi Arabia has warned foreign ships from approaching Yemeni ports which could cut the Middle East producer's crude exports.

China's crude imports from Yemen in the first two months this year were 4.5 mln bbls, up 315 per cent from the same period a year ago.
Isn't that interesting that as the Houthis filled the void left by the quitter government- China increased their crude imports from Yemem by 315 percent?
Are interested parties attempting to deny China access to crude? It sure looks that way!

Egypt to Import Israeli Gas

Egypt to Import Israeli Gas

Bad news for the Palestinians. Given that some of the gas, if not all of the gas belongs to the Palestinians in Gaza- I've covered this situation previously. This explains why Egypt is assisting in the strangulation of Gaza

Egypt's Decision to Import Israeli Gas is an "Important Decision", Says EFG Hermes

Egypt & Israel- partnering in plunder
Egypt’s plans to import natural gas from Israel is an “important development”, according to EFG Hermes, one of the Middle East’s biggest investment banks.
Earlier this month Dolphinous Holdings, a private company run by a group of Egyptian investors, agreed to buy at least $1.2 billion of natural gas from Israel's offshore Tamar field. The Tamar partners would supply 5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas during the first three years of the seven year contract, Reuters reported.
“This is an important development, as we estimate that the reported gas volume represents 15 percent of Egypt’s total industrial consumption,” EFG was quoted as saying by Egypt Independent newspaper.
The agreement would “free up more gas allocations to local plants and potentially improve utilization rates; particularly in steel, cement and nitrogen fertilizers,” the investment bank added.
The Egyptian economy is facing severe gas shortage as local demand has ballooned in recent years amid declining domestic production. For the short term, the government is trying to source LNG from various sources to cater to growing demand.
In recent weeks Egypt has signed deals to buy LNG from TrafiguraVitolNoble Group and Sonatrach.

Two Additional Top Ukrainiain Officials Arrested- in showy fashion

The next act in Ukraine. Following after  Kolomoisky: Quit, Resigned, Fired, Reigned in by Kiev? Maybe something else? We now have some very show stopping arrests

Serhiy Bochkovsky is arrested

with cameras rolling

Two top Ukrainian officials have been arrested on corruption charges and led away in handcuffs from a televised cabinet meeting as government ministers looked on.
Police detained Sergiy Bochkovsky, director of Ukraine's emergency services ministry, and his deputy Vasyl Stoyetsky, in full glare of journalists and photographers, accusing them of "high-level" corruption.

Arrested on Live Television?
Ukrainian police walked into a nationally televised meeting of the country's cabinet of ministers in Kiev on Wednesday, and with cameras rolling, slapped cuffs on the chief and deputy chief of the emergencies services ministry.
Anton Heraschenko, an advisor to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, said Serhiy Bochkovsky, head of the State Service of Emergency Situations of Ukraine, and his deputy Vasily Stoyetskoho, are suspected of stealing 15 to 20% of cash that the state paid for fuel, including for ambulances in eastern Ukraine, where government forces are fighting Russian-backed separatists.
;The move was clearly staged for maximum effect to prove to the West that Kiev is making much-needed strides in reforming its government.
Were these two siphoning off Kolomoisky's profits? It is after all..
" Mr. Kolomoisky has effectively controlled Ukrnafta and Ukrtransnafta, according to officials and lawmakers. This enabled him to push aside competitors and have oil sent to a processing plant that he controls, the officials and lawmakers said.

Mr. Kolomoisky says he shares control of the companies with the state and is trying to keep them operating”"

Obviously I don't buy the fighting corruption meme being presented by Kiev. Kiev is corruption from top to bottom, side to side, inside and out.  Oligarch wars? Who has more control in the corrupt state aparatus?

Kolomoisky: Quit, Resigned, Fired, Reigned in by Kiev? Maybe something else?

Another day. Another step closer to Ukraine's new coup. With a military dictatorship, most likely, to be put in place. The bursting of the bubble that was 'democratic' Ukraine is on full display. Of course that was never really the case. It was just the delusion. Ukraine was always being set up for plunder and dictatorship. It's the banker way

So, Kolomoisky?  Quit? Resigned? Fired? Reigned in by Kiev? - Or something else entirely?
Take your pick! Multiple headlines making multiple claims.   Me? I am going with something else entirely!  Kolomoisky is too powerful to be taken down by Poroshenko , via decree. And both men know it. What are those documents signed by Poroshenko?  Recall Kolomoisky stole documents from the State oil office when he broke into it with his thugs? What were those documents? Are they the documents being signed in the Presidential Office? Clearly there is something else going on, no matter the presentation.

Photographs posted on the presidential website show both men sitting around a table at the presidential office during late-night discussions — with Mr Poroshenko signing documents.

If you are unfamiliar with Kolomoisky's romp through the Ukrainian state oil office. Refresh or bring yourself up to speed reading the post from last week:  Ukraine Oligarch Kolomoisky & his thug army break into Ukraine State Oil Office.

Ukraine’s president has sacked regional governor Igor Kolomoisky, one of the country’s most influential oligarchs, amid an escalating showdown over political influence and control over state oil companies.

The political shake-up, made by Petro Poroshenko — himself an oligarch threatens to test unity of the country’s pro-western political establishment..
According to a statement posted on the presidential website at 1:45am on Wednesday morning, Mr Kolomoisky’s resignation as governor of the industrialised region of Dnipropetrovsk was accepted minutes after Mr Poroshenko signed into law legislation that threatened to strip his rival of control over management at Ukrnafta, the country’s top oil producer that is majority owned by the government.
So,  is Kolomoisky not just managing Ukrnafta anymore?
Ukraine Government Tries to Rein In Oligarch Ally
WSJ is calling him an ally to Poroshenko- so.....
But the government faces the risk that confronting a powerful billionaire and ally in the fight against the separatists will destabilize an already-fraught political situation.

On Thursday, when officials moved to oust the head of the state oil transportation firm Ukrtransnafta, Mr. Kolomoisky marched into the headquarters in Kiev with his bodyguards and blocked the appointment of a new one.

On Sunday, men in camouflage converged on the headquarters of Ukrnafta, the national oil producer. The company and Mr. Kolomoisky said they were extra security.
Government security officials said they had received orders from Mr. Poroshenko to disarm the men. The situation was calm around the building in Kiev late Monday.

“None of our governors will have puppet armed forces,” Mr. Poroshenko said in a speech at the National Defense Academy on Monday.
None of our governors will have puppet armed forces? Laughing....That cat’s out of the bag!
Kolomoisky- “Appointed governor of the industrial Dnipropetrovsk region, he spent millions on a battalion that is widely credited with stemming the separatists’ westward march at a time when Ukraine’s regular army was lacking men, morale and direction.

He has won fans with his blunt style, but also courted controversy. Asked by a reporter whether he was breaking Ukrainian law by holding passports from two countries, he said he wasn’t, as he has three.

This month he said he used to pay $5 million a month in bribes to avoid hindrances to his businesses.

For years, Mr. Kolomoisky has effectively controlled Ukrnafta and Ukrtransnafta, according to officials and lawmakers. This enabled him to push aside competitors and have oil sent to a processing plant that he controls, the officials and lawmakers said.

Mr. Kolomoisky says he shares control of the companies with the state and is trying to keep them operating”
Do you believe Poroshenko denied Kolomoisky his control of Ukrnafta and Ukrtransnafta?
Kolomoisky is a thug. If Poroshenko denied Kolomoisky his access, there is going to be trouble.
If Poroshenko gave Kolomoisky the company, there is going to be trouble as Kolomoisky takes charge, in a despotic fashion

WHO says Glysophosphate/Round UP- "Likely" Carcinogenic- Chemical Manipulation of Humanity!

Every time I tell myself, take a day away from the blog, something catches my attention! Something just too good to pass up. Dammit! ;)

This news got very limited media coverage a few days ago-  I know that is so shocking to you all!  Media not reporting, important, real news that affects your health, in the same manner as they spread ISIS propaganda to justify the war agenda.......

So, let's get to it

Health Agency Says Widely Used Herbicide Likely Carcinogenic

Pay attention to the language used by WHO in an effort to downplay the facts that this stuff is killing us all.
Glyphosate, a herbicide widely marketed by Monsanto Co. and other companies, likely has the potential to cause cancer in humans, a World Health Organization agency said Friday.

The determination, published by researchers for the International Agency for Research on Cancer in a U.K. medical journal, is likely to fuel further debate over the safety of the heavily used agricultural chemical, which Monsanto sells under the Roundup brand.

Consumer and environmental groups have long warned of health problems that they say could (HAVE) arise from applying the weedkiller on farms, while agricultural companies have touted the product’s safety and environmental impact as preferable to other, harsher chemicals. Officials at Monsanto and agricultural-chemical trade groups contested Friday’s finding, saying decades of research had proved glyphosate’s safety.

Glyphosate is the most-used herbicide in the U.S., according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Farmers have ramped up its use over the past two decades with the advent of genetically modified crops, including corn and soybeans, which can withstand sprayings of the chemical. Herbicide-tolerant biotech plants were grown on 94% of U.S. soybean fields and 89% of U.S. corn fields last year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Read as the WHO downplays the multitude of studies, done by many different parties, all over the globe
In classifying glyphosate as potentially cancer-causing, the international research agency cited studies of occupational exposure to glyphosate in the U.S., Canada and Sweden, which they wrote showed “increased risks for non-Hodgkin lymphoma” along with a positive trend for some ailments in mice in separate studies. Though the researchers cited “limited evidence” that glyphosate was a carcinogen for humans, they classified it as probably carcinogenic to them, according to the article.
Having read through much nonsensical language from the media and agencies through the many years, you can be assure  the WHO classifying this as 'probably carcinogenic' despite their claim of "limited evidence", tells us that there is an abundance of evidence!! There is an overwhelming amount of evidence. And it isn't going to make one bit of difference because the UN and WHO are beholden to BIG OIL.
The assessment followed a meeting this month among 17 experts representing 11 countries, who evaluated the cancer-causing potential of glyphosate and four other pesticides. The research agency, which hasn’t previously classified glyphosate, monitors global cancer cases while trying to identify causes and responses.
Monsanto, among the world’s largest sellers of glyphosate and the biggest seed maker by sales, contested the finding, saying that glyphosate is safe if used as recommended by its label and that decades of extensive study have proven its safety. The company said the research agency didn’t establish any link between glyphosate and an increase in cancer, and that IARC researchers disregarded dozens of scientific studies that showed glyphosate poses no human-health risk.

“This has been validated in over 160 countries for over 40 years,” said Philip Miller, vice president of global regulatory affairs for Monsanto. “They’ve come to the conclusion time and time again that this is non-carcinogenic and safe for human health and the environment.”
The classification, however, may prompt Monsanto to update some safety information for its glyphosate products, which is typically compiled on websites or included when products are sold, Mr. Miller said. The company has requested a meeting with WHO to discuss the classification, he said.
Banking Hydra with it's oil, chemical, agriculture, pharma, military heads

Likely and Probably. What else would one expect from the WHO? Even with the token condemnation Monsanto is going to 'set the record straight'! Remember the UN was built on Rockefeller land and  oily philanthropic bankster dollars. Therefore the UN, including the WHO, will serve the multi headed hydra of bankster scum. BIG OIL! The Chemical Industry. Big, big Agriculture. Big toxic Pharma and the murdering, plundering death bringing WAR Machine every time!

EDC's in the Great Lakes Region- Wastwater, Waterways & Fish- Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

Hormone-mimickers widespread in Great Lakes region wastewater, waterways and fish.
I have placed links back to older posts related to the topics discussed in this news item
Great Lakes waterways are contaminated with known endocrine disrupting compounds; scientists warn fish are at risk (It ain't just fish at risk!)
Mercury … PCBs … these are still problems. But there’s a lesser-known class of contaminants, which have insidious and concerning health impacts on aquatic creatures.

Barber, a research geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, was looking for, and found, hormone-disrupting compounds – called alkylphenols - making it through wastewater treatment plants and contaminating rivers and fish in the Great Lakes and Upper Mississippi River regions.
The compounds pervade the Great Lakes basin waterways that receive wastewater treatment plant effluent.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s a large urban wastewater plant, a mid-size city wastewater plant or individual septic tanks,” Barber said. “These chemicals are present.”
Wastewater treatment plants were not originally designed to handle these compounds, widely used both commercially and residentially in products such as detergents, cleaning products and adhesives.
Operators are scrambling to keep up with the hormone-mimickers gushing into their plants.
No, they aren't because they can't pay for the necessary cleaning therefore they won't.
The oil companies should have to pay for the cleaning of the water
This is where we can make a difference in not buying and/ or reducing the use of  products that contain EDC’s- We should also not buy from big agriculture- We should let others know about the many problematic issues with big agriculture from chemicals through to GMO’s. And of course avoid factory farmed foods as much as possible- Get to know your local farmers. Grow your own food. Buy organic-while not perfect, it’s better. It also sends a message that you don’t want any pesticide, herbicide/gmo toxic food- Vote with your dollar.
"It doesn't matter if it's a large urban wastewater plant, a mid-size city wastewater plant or individual septic tanks. These chemicals are present."-Larry Barber, USGSMeanwhile, scientists fear the biologically active contaminants and their metabolites may alter the hormones of fish and other aquatic creatures, leading to reproductive, behavioral and developmental problems.
“In terms of effects, these alkylphenols are just one subset of compounds that add up to produce adverse effects,” said Alan Vajda, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Colorado. “A little alkylphenol, a little estrogenic birth control … they all add up.”

From 1999 to 2009 Barber and colleagues looked for nine compounds and their metabolites, many of which are known to disrupt the endocrine system, in the effluent from wastewater treatment plants in Duluth and St. Paul, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis and Akron, Ohio. They found all nine compounds in every plant's effluent.
This isn’t the first time researchers have found the compounds in the Great Lakes. In 2007 Environment Canada reported that the compounds were in sediment of a Great Lakes coastal wetland in Ontario and were accumulating in the tissue of local invertebrates.
Another Canadian study from 2009 tested 28 sites in lakes Erie, Huron and Ontario, and found alkylphenols distributed widely in sediments in the lower Great Lakes, with concentrations higher in sediments near larger cities.
Alkyphenols are “nearly ubiquitous,” Vajda said. “There are so many sources of these compounds in consumer products and in industrial uses and agriculture.”
Roundup - A Converging Pattern of Toxicity from Farm to Clinic to Lab-
It’s not always the parent compound that researchers are looking for. The compounds are partially broken down when they go through wastewater treatment plants.

However, they break down into metabolites that persist and still exhibit endocrine disrupting properties.

Hormone Disruptors 'rise from the dead'- Factory farming & the Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

Alkyphenols disrupt endocrine systems, acting estrogenic in fish, birds and mammals.
Estrogenic compounds act through the estrogen receptor – and the common health impact people think of is reproduction, Vajda said. “But the roles much more diverse than that – estrogens are important to the brain, metabolism, cardiovascular health,” he said.
Barber and colleagues tested some fish in the Great Lakes region for indications of endocrine disruption. They found that a protein – called plasma vitellogenin, which is predominantly in female fish – was mostly reduced in female fish and present in males.

Responses from both sexes are indicative of endocrine disruption, Barber said.

“A lot of endocrine disruption is creating imbalances in these biological feedback systems. After exposure, females’ machinery will kind of shut down since it's estrogen driven,” Barber said. “Male fish exposed to estrogen will produce this protein in their blood.”
When asked to comment on Barber’s findings, Tara Johnson, a spokesperson with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, said via email: “None of the actual results are particularly remarkable or unexpected based on past studies of this type with alkylphenols.”
And yet the use of these petrochemicals continues!

Scientists have linked alkyphenols to a number of health impacts in fish.
Most of the research has been from laboratory studies, said Reynaldo Patiño, a USGS scientist and leader of the Texas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit.

“Studies suggest behavior problems, impaired reproduction, development of immune system, disease resistance,” Patiño said. “These are all important functions.”

For example, Barber, Vajda and colleagues in 2010 found that minnows exposed to hormone- and alkylphenol-contaminated wastewater effluent from Boulder, Colorado, were demasculinized within 14 days.

During the research period, Boulder water officials took steps to limit alkyphenols prompting a “dramatic decrease in the compounds showing up in effluent,” Vajda said.
“In terms of effects, these alkylphenols are just one subset of compounds that add up to produce adverse effects. A little alkylphenol, a little estrogenic birth control … they all add up."-Alan Vajda, University of Colorado“And with it, we saw a dramatic decrease in health impacts in fish,” he said, adding that this relationship suggested the alkyphenols were largely to blame for initial demasculinization.

EDC's- The Wildlife/Human Connection- Chemically Induced Alterations in Sexual & Functional Development

In trout, four common alkylphenols stimulate gene expression and the growth of breast cancer cell lines, according to research from the UK’s Imperial Cancer Research Fund.

EDC's and Breast Cancer- Yup, the Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

Vajda said that all of these studies are relevant for the Great Lakes fish since endocrine disrupting compounds should act similarly across fish species. He added it’s hard to pin any specific health impacts on any group of compounds since fish are exposed to a mixture of so many.
Just like humans

Alkyphenol-contaminated fish and water are potential sources of estrogens for people

All exposures count
It’s difficult to quantify the risk alkyphenolic-contaminated fish are to humans, said Dr. Ana Soto, a Tufts University professor and biologist, adding that what and how many fish eaten would determine exposure.

However, both contaminated fish and water represent yet another route of estrogen exposure for people.
“We’re already affected by estrogens like BPA, and we know the effects are additive,” Soto said. “In a nutshell, I can’t tell you how much endocrine disruption [in people] will increase from eating the fish in the river. (drinking the recycled water) But I can say there is potential, and all exposures count."
“And we already have estrogens, now there are potentially more provided to the body from the water … and fish.”
Stopping them at the source
Alkylphenols are widespread in wastewater effluent because wastewater treatment plants simply were not designed to handle such compounds.

“The basic concept of plants was conceptualized 70 or 80 years ago when someone said ‘hey could we take natural biodegradation process in the environment, and speed it up,” said Chris Hornback, senior director of regulatory affairs with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA).
“These plants were designed to get the stuff when you think of sewage out of water, get it cleaned and return it to environment, “ he said. “Nothing in the realm of our imagination when these processes were first conceptualized envisioned triclosan, estrogen from birth control pills, or alkyphenolics.”
There is some research into bolstering removal rates of such compounds. Hornback said that reverse osmosis, which cleans water by pushing it through membranes, seems to work best at removing emerging contaminants like alkyphenols. However, reverse osmosis is prohibitively expensive for most plants.
Other researchers have had some success at slowing down the sludge retention time, which keeps the wastewater in the portion of the treatment process where organisms are consuming organic matter. A longer holding period seems to remove more contaminants such as alkyphenols. But that’s not without problems either, Hornback said.
Experts say if compounds have environmental impacts, they shouldn't go into sewers in the first place.

-Researchers have had some success at slowing down the sludge retention time, which keeps the wastewater in the portion of the treatment process where organisms are consuming organic matter
-Another option to bolster removal is activated carbon filters, But it, too, would be “extremely expensive,” Rogacki said. “We’re talking hundreds of millions of dollars.” Rather than make such an investment, Rogacki said it makes much more sense to keep these compounds out of the sanitary system in the first place.
-Reverse Osmosis, also considered to work, but too expensive
“If alkyphenolic compounds are causing problems in the environment, we should be working to keep them out of the sewer,” Hornback said. “The sewer is not a trash can.”
Instead of an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure.. the EPA continues to serve big oil/chemical/agriculture and the expense of planetary health
Hornback said the major concern is that the EPA approves compounds and then, after environmental impacts are confirmed, will force wastewater treatments plants to deal with them
The EPA’s Johnson said the agency does not have any human or aquatic water quality standards for any of the chemicals that Barber and colleagues monitored.

Nor are there “imminent plans to develop” any standards, she added.
But voluntary reductions in chemicals can reduce their presence in the environment, Barber said.

“It’s good to get the word out. If people realize ‘Oh, I’m using products that are having an unsavory environmental impact’, and realize they have alternatives, they’ll usually turn to the alternatives.”

Here's where we look back at an earlier post from today

Keeping Children & Others Safe from EDC's- Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

Keeping Children & Others Safe from EDC's- Chemical Manipulation of Humanity

There are simple steps families can take to reduce exposure to many of the environmental toxins that can affect children's health. Read labels, don't use pesticides and eat organic whenever possible

Avoid these ingredients
Phthalates: Not listed on labels, but may appear as "fragrance" or "parfum." Phthalates are endocrine-disrupting chemicals that can damage children's brain development.
Triclosan: Commonly found in antibacterial products.
Chemicals ending in "eth" and PEG: in personal-care products
Parabens: Found in personal-care products, including shampoos and lotions
Formaldehyde: Also DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, imidazolidinyl urea
1,4-dioxane: Not on labels; may be listed as sodium laureth sulfate, ceteareth, polyethylene glycol/PEG
PFOA: Found in non-stick pans and stain-resistant fabrics
Bisphenol A (BPA) and BPS: Not listed on labels. Found in cans, hard plastic baby bottles, sippy cups, receipts and thermal paper.
PVC and vinyl: Found in soft plastics (toys, inflatable toys, shower curtains) and flooring.

How to protect your family from toxins
Avoid handling cash-register receipts. (wash your hands asap- no antibacterial goop) Thermal paper generally contains BPA, which transfers easily to the skin.
Don't use plug-in fragrances at home. If you're driving a new car, open the windows to let in fresh air (the new-car smell is produced by phthalates).
Use sunscreen with limited ingredients and without oxybenzone, which mimics estrogen and can disrupt normal hormone function.
Avoid plastics whenever possible, especially those labeled Nos. 3, 6 and 7. Never heat plastic containers in the microwave, dishwasher or even in the sun. Heat can cause endocrine-disrupting chemicals to leach into food and drinks
Store your food in glass. "It's a small thing, but it works," said the Children's Environmental Health Center's "That minimizes exposure to phthalates and bisphenol A."
Beware of brominated flame retardants, which can be found in furniture and electronics.
Don't use pesticides.( no lawn spray- no toxins on your veggies)

Eat fresh foods, avoid processed foods and go organic whenever possible. Landrigan and his wife, Mary, have a small garden behind their Mamaroneck home, where they grow most of the vegetables they eat all summer. (How many years have I suggested to readers to grow your own veggies, as possible for your living circumstances)
Use steel or cast-iron cookware, rather than non-stick.(no non stick in my home)
Avoid stain-resistant materials, and don't spray items to make them stain-resistant.
Choose household cleaning products that don't have warnings that say "caution," "danger," "corrosive" or "caustic." Pick products that list ingredients and use essential oils for scent. (I am using vinegar with soap quite a lot in my home, to reduce the chemical burden, but, there is still room for improvement)
Avoid lead (check for lead paint if you're moving into a house built before 1975). Lead-painted trains, dolls and lunchboxes imported from other countries, are also a major health threat to children. "I tell my grandkids, 'Buy unpainted wooden toys,' " said Landrigan. "Wood is better than plastic."
Eat fish, but be careful to avoid those high in mercury.
The article specified only methylmercury- But ethylmercury used in vaccines is also an EDC- So, I cannot differentiate in such a superficial manner

Also- Clean your water as best you can. Even so called treated (city/municipal) water is full of EDC's A simple charcoal filter might help a bit- You can go for reverse osmosis- Or something like the Berkey water system? Requiring no electricity and operates with filters and gravity.
We have just got a Berkey for ourselves and I can attest to the fact the water tastes a heck of a lot better!

I will be putting up a post which describes how ineffective, large, medium or small, city waste water facilities are in cleaning these chemicals out of your drinking/cooking/bathing water - So additional filtering is a must.
