You, Me and the SPP:Trading Democracy for Corporate Rule

"What do secrecy, police provocateurs, an assault on democracy and infringements on citizens’ rights have in common?

The Security Prosperity Partnership.

‘You, Me, and the S.P.P: Trading Democracy for Corporate Rule
is a feature length documentary which exposes the latest manifestation of a corporatist agenda that is undermining the democratic authority of the citizens of North America. Two processes, the Security Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and the Trade Investment Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) are rapidly eroding and eliminating standards, civil liberties, regulatory systems and institutions put in place over generations through the democratic process."

Recent job losses, particularly in the manufacturing industry, are part of a bigger picture. A picture that includes lower standards of living, oppression, governmental interference, lack of freedom and no democratic rights.

  1. Penny, Democracy IS corporate rule.

The democracy part of government is the Banks Inc, Police Inc, Military Inc, etc. It is rule by Oligarchy.[Plato and various legal documents such as "Invisible Contracts", "The Law Merchant", etc.

It is wrong, Jurisprudence (Justice & Temperance NOT "science of law" as in modern dictionaries) requires that we can get out of this unjust system if we so wish. The law gives justice, but people who hire lawyers instead of learning the law "understand their charges" - that is "stand under the charges".

Without just law, the world would fall to pieces. Its the lawyers job to prevent ordinary people from getting justice and to "stand under" corporate rule.

  2. People protesting all of this are actually begging for it.

Its all in the language. The law and politicians trick you with words. "...have but words to thanks for their positions" [The "Police" rock band]. My analysis of Solosbury Hill premises that Gabriel discovered this and wrote the song about it.

Getpast the wording and they no longer have "...words to thank for their positions" because they no longre have position - we give it to them in the words we speak.

I speak of the Holy Grail.

Once you start to see all this stuff it really starts jumping out at you from everywhere. The movie "The Matrix" is all about this: freemen work from what is said in The Matrix.

  3. hey doug, when speaking of democracy, I would say this is the wording most people think about, their right to chose, their right to vote, their right to influence politicians, and with the SPP it is all taken away from them.

me, I am still a huge believer in awareness bringing change.

That is why I posted that here, and the ten minute clip I posted was very good.

I thinking the topic you are speaking of is beyond the understanding of most people.
As I was saying when talking about the NAU, how many people have even heard of it? Yet, even in this clip it is alluded to. and that is what the spp is about, how many people actually realize it?

Everyone has to start from somewhere, just like we did.

  4. That was a good little trailer.

I also agree Penny, that folk need to start somewhere, for me it was the Drug War that led me to the rest of the lies, as they all follow the same pattern.

However, that said, once a person starts, where do they go? How to make the change, how to do it effectively? The monster we've created can no longer be killed by a simple flyswatter.. it's huge.

Perhaps death by a thousand cuts is in order, after all that's what they are doing to us. I'll keep up my end, but until people really wake up, smell the coffee and actually take a sip, I'm afraid this will just continue along.

  5. maggie!
been wondering where the heck you have been?
    glad you are about.
